soup, they were saying at my primary visit, I needed to get it. So its for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough). They said before 2005 there was no booster shots for whooping cough, I don't know about diphtheria. We take whatever is recommend, I know we haven't had the last 2 in many a year. DD is recommended too and I will get it for her. We both are due for mammograms soon too. Hubs got his new drivers license last week and today got his ballot in the mail! That's quick. Thanks! It is good to know that it wasn't an urgent care requirement as my primary does NOT recommend it. I get tetanus only if I have to go in for a wound which I haven't had to do in decades.

chiver78 I personally have no problems with chicken. My issue is with the egg white part. My best friend moved to a new state a few years ago. I flew up there to attend her kid's birthday party and help make the cake as was our tradition before covid. Somehow allergies came up in conversation with this one lady at the party. She said that it wasn't an allergy to eggs but to the soybean in the food used by the commercial farmers. Now this lady seemed a little out there but I am for sure allergic to soybeans and was allergic to them before I got an egg allergy diagnosis. This lady's husband had a really bad bout of Lyme's and came out with a ton of new food allergies. She ended up growing/raising their food as a result. My BIL got chickens a few years back. He bought them food without soybeans. I ate one of those eggs and didn't get sick. It felt too much like playing with fire for me to continue doing it. He also only has 3 hens and they don't lay a ton plus having to be vigilant that the right food was purchased every time. A long winded way of saying maybe chicken isn't truly LD's problem? Have you looked at allergies to other eggs? A friend of mine is allergic to eggs, but she can have duck and quail eggs. That might be a round about way of getting eggs, if you want to try this. I did laugh at he4 talking about how many quail eggs she needed to satisfy a craving for scrambled eggs though! I had a co-worker that was allergic to eggs too. He could eat duck eggs without a problem but not chicken eggs.

Other than the fact that after culling and tossing crap so I could move, we only had 3 days to get to WA to beat the moving truck. After they picked up me, they were hitting the road and we were the first stop. Best $$ I ever spent, even when I felt at the time I was hemorrhaging money. We got in the evening before, the moving truck arrived the next morning. We never even had time to pick the animals up from the kennel.

It wasn’t so much that I was sick, but the cough that it caused fractured a couple ribs. I was 40. These days, they suggest you get DTaP, not just DT if you go to see new infants. Pertussis in them can be fatal, but pertussis in adults can make you pretty damn miserable. Other than fracturing a few ribs, every time I had a coughing fit, I wet myself…..and not just a little. It got to the point where I was taking a second set of clothes to work, just in case.

Well, the plot thickens. Aunt G did reach out to brother and tell him she needs him to sign some papers for her to sell her house, but would not tell him exactly what she was asking him to sign. She has made it her business to not speak to brother in over a year, because she’s mad at him for calling her out on some of her mess while all that stuff was going on with his and Mister’s parents. But she can talk to him now lol.
Brother also ended up talking to one of Aunt G’s neighbors, one of the people that have made it clear that they think Mister and his brother are pieces of shit for “not doing anything for their Aunt”. That was interesting to overhear, I’m pretty sure Mister would’ve gotten angry and shot off, but his brother prefers to be petty and say slick stuff with a giggle if you know what to listen for.
I think what has happened is whoever is supposed to be buying the house, and I was correct, it is an “investor”, learned about their Mom being on the deed, and that is why Aunt G is calling them, but playing dumb about what’s she’s asking them to sign. As if they are dummies.
I was also correct that Mister’s brother wants every penny he might be entitled to is she ever sells the house. Especially now that Aunt G has only called him after all of this time, just because she wants something from him, and he feels like she is trying to be slick. The point is not whether her plans have a chance of working, it’s that she is trying to get them to sign something that she won’t explain to them. So I get the impression that they aren’t going to explain to her that it’s probably complicated and they couldn’t just walk in and sign some papers if they wanted to, if partial ownership of the house became part of their Mom’s estate and then their Dad’s. Neither parent had a will, and neither estate has been settled.
Honestly, Brother probably hasn’t even thought about that house and him possibly being a part owner. So she may have just opened a big can of worms by putting it on his radar.
So now Mister is gone to sit down and talk with his brother.

A long winded way of saying maybe chicken isn't truly LD's problem? yup, I hear you. the question was coming more from, I'd already isolated him for 10 days or so, are eggs gonna screw that up while we're still figuring it all out? he's almost 10 and has never shown issues with chicken before. Im *really* hoping this isn't the problem, for my own convenience in a number of ways. 🤦♀️ I so hate how arbitrary allergies actually are in practice. like, I can't have fries cooked in the same oil as fried clams, but my sister can't have a steak that's been on the same plate as some salmon for surf and turf, but she can enjoy those fries no prob.

I can have eggs baked in stuff with no issue. I don't chow down on quiche just because it feels riskier. 350 is definitely the magic number though as far as baking. Something about that temperature changes it chemically.
Wine doesn't bother me but nothing makes me sick faster than sulfites in food. And I can't drink a thing from Anheuser Busch. That one I really wish I knew why because it was an early 30s development. When they came out with seltzer, I avoided it for a long time. I was at a charity event where the local Anheuser Busch bottler was the alcohol sponsor. I drank one and seemed fine. As I opened the second one, I spotted the line of hives forming on the inside of my wrist. I found a Benadryl in my purse and chugged water the rest of the night.

My old house cleaner had an opening tomorrow so we grabbed it. Amazing how much more dirt I saw as soon as I made that appointment. And telling the kids we have to clean for the cleaner got lots of eye rolls but they did it.

Sounds like the root of the problem is that Aunt G is only half as smart as she thinks she is, and Mister and Brother aren't even close to half as stupid as she thinks they are. Doesn't look like trying to be slick is working too well for her

All i know for sure about the house is that when Mister and I looked it up for whatever random reason last year on the county assessor’s website, Aunt G and Mister’s Mom were listed as the owners. Idk how the title or deed or whatever was worded when they inherited it. I ASSumed it was worded in a way that Mom’s share passed to her heirs because Aunt G called Mister and said she needs him to sign some papers at closing and she’ll give him $2k from the proceeds of the sale if he does. I can’t think of any other reason that she would need Mister to sign anything, he doesn’t have POA for Aunt G or anything like that, and other than possibly having inherited half of his Mom’s share of the house, he is not legally tied to her in any way besides him and his brother being her next of kin. I only mentioned it here because it was a somewhat interesting topic of conversation, that had nothing to do with me and all my bs. As I said earlier, I’m not putting any thought into trying to figure it out, although I do appreciate pertinent information to pass along to Mister and let him do what he will with the information. The only reason he is interested in the house is because he’s always been interested in buying houses to rent, but by the time he was in a position to do so, the market had gone haywire and even cheap houses weren’t so cheap anymore. The whole thing is just another loose end he needs to tie up, IF it did become part of his Mom’s estate. Even with that, I am mostly thinking about liability concerns, because knowing his Aunt, it’s a very real possibility that there is no insurance on the house. But he and I aren’t married, and our finances are separate except for 1 joint savings account, so it’s solely on him if he doesn’t sort it out and things go left somehow. I understand that the state of his finances do affect me, I’ll just leave that part at that. It sounds like Aunt G wants Mister to sign a quit claim deed. If brother finds out that his share was given away, I’m sure he will be very unhappy to put it mildly.Zero chance of that happening. He would have to sign his own. His ownership rights cannot be given away without his consent, unless for whatever unknown reason he has granted Power of Attorney to someone else.

I'm cheating on my hair dresser. I wanted to get my roots done before pictures and I couldn't get in with my regular hair dresser so I'm trying someone new and really hoping I don't regret it.

Thanks! It is good to know that it wasn't an urgent care requirement as my primary does NOT recommend it. I get tetanus only if I have to go in for a wound which I haven't had to do in decades. If you have not had DPT in that long, I do recommend you get it…..to at least protect you from pertussis. I caught pertussis as an adult. It got to the point where I was taking a second set of clothes to work, just in case. I also had whooping cough as an adult and it was awful! That cough was no joke. I was a drooling, whooping mess. I had gotten the tdap booster before I somehow got whooping cough and I had a "less severe" case. Well it felt severe! DTaP is for young kid, Tdap is for adults and older kids.

DIL got her hair cut shorter in sort of a bob, it looks so cute, she looks way younger, but she thinks it makes her look older.
Smoke was meowing at her trying to block her from going in the kitchen, she just ignored him and pushed on. He didn't do anything but keep meowing at her and backing up.
I'm making ham salad tonight, need to get with it.

I got the Tdap when my kids were at a point when grandchildren seemed likely. I'm due for a booster in the next year or two. I have three preschool age grandchildren now. I want to stay up on that.
Same rational with the RSV vaccine.

I'm back and showered. I spent 5 hours today cleaning the kitchen. Tomorrow while my dad and uncle are painting I will be cleaning the rest of the house. The inside of the toilets are grey under the waterline. What's up with that? How do I get rid of that?

I just assumed I was too late to hire a cleaning service. I got it clean today. Not to my standards, but close. I would be embarrassed to leave my house to a buyer in that condition. I get that people have different cleaning standards, but you could at least try. I'm so excited for the twins to have their own backyard again! They're going to love it! They deserve it, even if they do piss me off.

Ham salad was good so I am now boiling the bone with some meat on it to make bean soup tomorrow.
I'm tired and have bumped my finger a few times, need to put the metal brace back on it after my bath.

Have you tried Dawn PowerWash? That stuff is pretty neat and has helped me. Yes! I love that stuff. I sprayed down the oven and let it sit for 30 minutes and scrubbed. Sprayed it again and let it sit for 30 minutes and scrubbed again. Then I took my steamer to it and scrubbed again. I tried scrubbing with the pink stuff and a scrub daddy. I think I need a scraper to get everything off. I've never seen so much baked on crap in an oven. I actually contemplated just replacing the whole stove. I so wish I had taken a before picture to share. It was wild! Pretty sure they've never lifted the top of the stove and cleaned it either. There was so much crap in there. The refrigerator was also a project. I sprayed it with DPW and the dirt started melting because that stuff is gold. I wish I could have just taken the kitchen outside and sprayed it with a power washer. It would have been more effective.

My uncle told me that he had all the brushes, drop cloths and trays to paint tomorrow. He said I just needed to get rollers, paint and tape for tomorrow. I asked him last minute if he needed anything else before I left Lowe's. His response: Hookers? I'm done.

He always told his wife that if she died before him that he would spend the insurance money on beer and hoochies. He in fact did not.
