I hate flip flops. Or any sandals that have straps in-between my toes or wrap around my ankles. But I love toe socks. I'm weird. I accept it. I'm the opposite, LOL. I love flip flops, but don't like toe socks. My toes need to be next to each other in Winter to retain heat. Just like gloves are warmer than mittens. um, you got the gloves and mittens backwards there. but yes....Im with you on the socks for the same reason.

Gorgeous floors and woodwork. Hate the kitchen cabinets, but am really curious about the cooktop. It looks huge! Nice deck, and there is a walk in tub.

ha. thatdeck railing looks familiar! but whoo yes, that is way dated. 😳 but, you said it's your forever home and you don't mind updating things as you go. it looks like it has been well maintained, and I'm all over that over an acre to have space between you and your neighbors lol... the first thing I'd need to address is that weird bar setup next to the double oven. I have so many questions there. try to take some pics from other angles to show it in a better/more functional way? it just looks so weird in the listing pics.

I watch a guy on you tube now that is all about the toe shoes. He says it builds foot strength and flexibility. I can't do flip flops, don't know if I ever tried toe socks.

I was thinking it could be a coffee bar. I love the cabinets even if they are old. I'd rather have a wider deck, but that could be a project for another day. I hate carpet, but I'm not going to rip out brand new carpet. I'll just replace it with something else when it gets old.

A lot of house for the $$. Well maintained so livable for now with tons of potential for upgrades over time.

The missy also sat on my shawl that I was working on and pulled out stitches. I'm not real happy, because I was working on a lace section. I think I need to take it to someone to fix.
I also don't want to do much today. And I feel like I have to. Because otherwise DD1 is going to get her nose all bent out of shape and DH will get frustrated.

My problem is that I first process them as she's wandering around the pharmacy with really dirty bare feet.

You get to have time for yourself. They'll figure out how to take care of their own needs. Or they won't and that's their problem. You get to have your own time to do what you want.

Yes visceral bad reaction to the toe shoes First it makes my feet feel hurt just thinking of bare feet on stones and pebbles Then maybe look like primate feet Mostly cause my own feet seem to recoil from walking barefoot on sidewalk and street

At 7:30 am, DH started playing RedZone music via YouTube. He is now quite thrilled that he's found a SiriusXM station called The Sam Spence Station. (Samuel Lloyd Spence was an American soundtrack composer best known for his work with NFL Films. His music has also been in the EA Sports Madden NFL football video games and many football-related commercials.) He's connected his phone to the house surround sound speakers.
I don't mind football; it's just the 24/7-ness of it from Sept - Feb that gets a bit annoying.

I like it. I wish the virtually staged photos would not be used. I'd rather see it empty. It's a higher price than the others you have shown us. I think it shows in this house.

It already has the walk in tub in one of the bathrooms. Too much carpet for me, but that can be changed.

I like this one quite a bit. Love the yard, it has to be at least a 1/4 acre. Not sure how you feel about mowing though.

apparently I need to order another Fire Stick as the one on the outdoor tv didn't work when I turned that on earlier. I just borrowed the one off my bedroom TV for the game today, it's working fine. I may just wait til spring, so a new one doesn't sit out in the cold all winter. S and bf should be here soon. I'm about to head back outside myself.

It's not about them taking care of their own needs. I'd rather pick through things today than have DD1 in a positions where she feels like she needs to make household decisions. (I posted about a week ago that she was getting a little ridiculous with cleaning the kitchen.) Although now that she's started school that seems have subsided a little bit. And DH gets frustrated that my shit is strewn all over the place. That, I can't blame him for.

Had bizarre dreams last night. Made breakfast, put away laundry and cleaned the floors. Then we made the rounds of CVS, Aldi and Auto Zone. It's been many years since I last bought oil and both the number of varieties and the price was eye-opening. I'm now the proud owner of a quart of STP full synthetic 10W30 which I hope not to use. Next door neighbor replaced a picket on our fence and mixed the bird seed and peanuts so I'm vegging out until DH fixes dinner.

Had an amazing time at the Pearl Jam show last night. Doug Emhoff was there with our governor. A motorcade drove by our tailgate and I wondered if it was Doug and it was! He also spoke at my county Dem headquarters early this afternoon but I did not get a chance to take a selfie with him or say anything about the show.

I like the 600 house a lot. That has potential and to me would be move in ready. All the items that might need updated could be done in time.
Wish we could find a house like that out here for the price. It looks to be in good condition but would still have it inspected. Good luck
Out to trim more shrubs

My house smells fabulous. I don't usually bake because it's all horrible for me, but I'm trying to not just throw food out so much and I had a lot of overripe bananas and zucchinis. I baked those up in bread and after the kids have ate their fill I'll freeze it all so I'm not tempted. I also have a nice bowl of baked potatoes and apples that were starting to go bad as well for the chickens along with mini peppers and cucumbers for them to chomp on.
Now I'd better get my butt outside to mow.

I am watching Colorado volleyball. It started 45 minutes late because the match before theirs went 5 sets. It's been a very competitive tournament. This team might be better than I thought after last weekend. Of course, they usually play better at home.
Currently they are up 2-0, but it's tied in Set 3.
We lost in 5 sets.

We trimmed more shrubs I tried to get most done while hubs got the trailer because he wears out right now.I got most of them.He took the truck and pulled one dead shrub out,it it came out easy. They are trimmed but I need to straighten the tops a bit, but about all we could do today. Hubs did manage to get a dead bush out of a pot, it was so root bound he like to never got it out and had to break it up to carry it to the trailer. He and I both were surprised he didn't break the pot getting it out. He was about done.
I told grandson we need to help him. He said would he get paid. I told him I would buy him lunch and pay him if I didn't have to keep asking him to help, if he showed initiative. Well, this time he only got lunch, I think he understands what he needs to do next time. He has to learn and I think he fusses and dad and mom just give up, not me. Told him he needs to learn to work. He was right about one thing, we needed a wagon to load it in to get it to the trailer. That is still loaded on the big trailer. Hubs ordered a temporary tarp type building to back it into so tools won't get wet when he unloads some things. We hope to get some houses sold so we can build son a garage next summer.
I met another neighbor and she told me more about the people that lived here. The husband had macular degeneration and she said his wife was getting or had dementia. She said the daughter had a yard sale and the lady thought about buying some pots, which she said was sad because they were hers. That explains why maintenance was lacking for some time. The stove is pretty new as is the w/d. Don't think the d/w was used that much and microwave pretty new. We were talking about cleaning windows and they have the same problem with some kind of film or something being on the outside and trying to clean it off. She was wondering if there was something on the outside of these that was leaching on the windows, she eventually got hers clean, so I think I will.
The shrubs in the front are so leggy, hoping this trim back will do it, but honestly think it would be better to pull them out and put in new. I plan to plant a lot of roses. We will trim the rose bushes back when they die back more, I did do one of them that was pretty well done blooming.
Hubs must be at sons, he isn't back home. Not sure what they are doing, but its good they are getting time together.
Have to take grandson home later.

Made the menus for the week with a lot of question marks depending on the track and intensity of Francine in the Gulf. We're going to get haircuts tomorrow and hopefully see the debate Tuesday. My Texans won and today was sunny and dry so I'm a happy camper.

I have another missing package. The seller is trying to negotiate the amount of the refund they give me for it. First they offered 30%. I said no. Now they have offered me 50%, saying that's their final offer.
Something is better than nothing. But why would I agree to incur their cost of doing business?
