I feel like I am old enough to crumble into dust.
I found a Cathy cartoon T shirt at my local vintage store and was excited. My mom lived Cathy.
The cashier was too young to know who Cathy is.
The copyright on the image is for 1993.
I was alive. She was not.
Booooo.

Okay, we are breakfasted, bathrooms are cleaned and grocery shopping done. After lunch I'll do a lot of veggie chopping for tonight's IP lentil soup. I'm afraid the manager at the little grocery thinks DH and I have lost it mentally. DH chose 2 loose carrots, both of which resembled a porn star's fantasy with Peyronie's disease, and we both thought of the same orange-toned political figure and dissolved in hysterical laughter. And I have to peel and dice one of them today

Did you previously share the Sutton house before? The exterior and the interior brick wall look so familiar. the interior brick wall bothered me a lot - it just sticks out like an irrelevant afterthought. I love my exposed brick wall in my kitchen. It's a full wall, though, not a half wall like this.

I would not look at this one. I think it's going to be too much work to update. Plus the big ceiling crack and being sold as is. And this is exactly why I'm running them all by ypu guys. I didn't even see the crack. Thanks! Neither did I but I wondered if the price of admittance was half an hour of dish washing LOL. I was a trip just to see the photos though

The deck on the second house looks like it has some rotted boards. How much rotted might be just a few boards or the whole deck. Might want to check that out. The whole deck needs to go.

How ghetto is ghetto? Because from the pictures, it didn't look ghetto. Of course, when I hear ghetto, I think inner city Milwaukee, with houses boarded up, falling down, that the city is selling for like 60K. We lived in the ghetto in our current city from 24-34. It wasn't like inner city Milwaukee ghetto. We've move out of ghetto, and we're a few blocks away from something in between the ghetto and just fine.

Granted her mother was born to a teenager and the olayer was born to a teenager, but she's wishing her grandma a happy birthday and I am a year old than grandma.

A crawl space is NOT a substitute for a basement. There’s just enough space to crawl through and it’s often wet especially in a storm.

Gunshots multiple times per day. Police sirens all the time. Ghetto ghetto. KC is weird. It's really just one big ghetto. Just some parts are nicer than others. It's not unusual to see a brand new house next to a . You will also find new constructions next to a 100+ year old house.

Google say a storm shelter costs between $13-15K. It would be worth it to build one. Maybe I'll consider the house.

5BR in 1600sqf? If you thought the bedrooms in that other house were small...

I think this one has potential. I like this kitchen more than I've liked some of the other kitchens. I do like the outside of the house. I'd have to experience the layout. I feel like there are bedrooms everywhere, and not much public living space. Why is it so cheap?

5BR in 1600sqf? If you thought the bedrooms in that other house were small... I thought the same. Also that driveway looks like it needs some repairs. I look at driveways now that we spent $8k fixing ours. ETA we had to fix the driveway because it had large cracks in it and one side was sinking. That made one side of the cracks higher than the other, which became a trip hazard. Mister tripped in them a couple of times and he knew the hazard was there. We felt like that was a liability if someone else tripped and fell and hurt themself, and also it was only going to continue to get worse, so we fixed it.

I couldn't live with that driveway. I'd have to replace it right away. It does say the mortgage may be assumable. Might be worth looking into.

The 81st house looks very pretty but that driveway is bad. Looks like a flip . If the original owners let the driveway get so bad, may be big problems with roof? Electrical? Plumbing?

Mister wants to go cruising this evening. Then a couple hours ago he asked if I want to go to a certain expensive restaurant that he’s taken me to for my birthday and our “anniversary”. He likes their shrimp and grits, but the last time we went, they had changed the menu, and what I ordered was not worth the price imo. Plus, I don’t really like going to restaurants on weekends, because they are usually so crowded.
I’ll go if he really wants to, but I’d really rather go on a weekday. I’m definitely going cruising with him though. I haven’t been in his car since the day we took DGS for a ride.
He has gotten more comfortable driving it, except he still gets nervous stopping at red lights on an incline. He got the windows tinted last weekend, and it helps him that he can pretend that nobody can see him. He is more likely to make a mistake if he knows someone is watching him lol.
One day he was on the expressway and another Mustang pulled up on him like they wanted to race. Mister was like “nah man, I’m not gon make myself look crazy”. His car has a lot of power, but that’s a young man’s game, and Mister is still learning how to drive his car anyway lol.
Several years ago, a former friend of mine, she and her husband bought their middle son a Mustang for his 18th birthday. After a couple of days, their son told his Dad that the car was too much for him, it had too much power. So they sold that one and got him another Mustang that’s wasn’t as powerful. I told my former friend at the time, that she should be grateful that her son had enough sense to be honest lol.
I told Mister that story years ago, and during the first week he had the new car, he told me he kinda felt like my former friend’s son did, that it’s too much. He said if he’d drove one like I encouraged him to do, before buying one, he might have got over wanting one. I told him probably not though, unless he drove one for a few days, since it took a few days for him to really understand her power, and for him to feel like that.
He still keeps trying to get me to drive it, and I still keep politely declining. Primarily because I don’t want to be responsible for it, but also because I am trying to resist temptation. I don’t want to want a car like that, because I don’t want to pay for one. I’m good with the few minutes I did drive it, which proved that I CAN drive it if I want to.

I didn't get up till 11 and I'm so tired. Decided to do nothing today but the laundry and I need to go to the grocer. I'm just weak, told hubs I'm just wiped out no energy at all. I'm going to use DD's wheelchair to take the cat post to the car and the litter box. And at the grocer use the electric cart again. Also I may just go back to sleep for awhile. This covid is whipping my butt, never had it before and couldn't imagine what it does to your body. And my hair is like limp rags, I am losing even more of it again. It looks terrible and I can understand why.
Talked with hubs he is about half way up here. He said Smokey howled for the first 5 hours and finally stopped. He let them out in the truck but they won't stay out from under his feet. He had to pull over to get Tigger out and he jumped out of the truck. Hubs said he went to the other side and called him and he came and he put him back in. I said they will panick and get lost. He said nope, they won't get away from the truck.
Like he said after the furniture was gone they both knew something was wrong. I asked what they are doing if he stops to nap, he said no problem then, they get in the cages so that's good. The poor things have no idea what is going on, but must think it is really bad. Good thing he has been around them a lot or it would be even worse.
So when he gets here we are taking them to the new house. They will have furniture that has their smell on it and can get used to the place. I may go over and spend the night with them there. I was talking on the phone and think one of them heard me and meowed.
But for now at almost 2, I'm thinking a nap. Just tired and beat up. Later all.

5BR in 1600sqf? If you thought the bedrooms in that other house were small... We have 3 bedrooms in 1336 sq ft and our rooms are about 10X12, 120 sq ft each so they would fit in this one.

I feel like there are bedrooms everywhere, and not much public living space. Why is it so cheap? I wonder if it is a modular. The beams and the placement of the light fixtures in the common rooms along with vaulted ceilings are giving me a modular vibe.

I had an aunt and uncle who were very well off and lived in a beautiful home in a beautiful Milwaukee neighborhood. When the ex and I lived briefly in Milwaukee in the late 80s, I was curious to see the house again and shocked to see how bad the neighborhood was. Run down, Burned, vacant, boarded up houses all down that boulevard.
