Meghan, I like the dress a lot, I hope the heels work, because I think that kind of dress will be hard to hem. I clicked on the accessories suggestions-is a strapless bra necessary? I almost think a regular bra with thin straps and a deep plunge would work better. Good luck pulling it together. How far off is your event?

Good morning, erudite invisipeeps of Y Ma'am, planning your days. Welcome to Saturday. I hope your day is happy, satisfying and offers opportunities that you take for mirth and merriment. I hope your power stays steadily on, soupandstew. That's a beautiful dress, Cookies Galore. I hope your home purchase offer bears fruit, andi9899. Yesterday I stayed close to home to keep an eye on DH, who is definitely better now. We did not get to the gallery opening. We'll need to stop by the show some time next week. And as of today DD is halfway through training, now working with patients. She is very happy with this job. Today we're supposed to get rain pretty much all day, although I will be able to get Franklin the Dog to the beach this morning. Yesterday was the 8th day we've had of dawn being obliterated by gray clouds. So I show you this, taken over a year ago:

I can't sleep but going to try going back to bed. I knew a nap would cause me issues and then we had iced tea with dinner. Been up about half an hour. I'm going to try and go back to sleep.
The nitro pill stopped any more pain, I'm thankful for that, would not have been a good time to have to go to the ER. But I do have a bit of a headache, though its better too. It's probably from over doing it and stress right now. I hope I don't have any more issues till I can get up there and get a new heart doc. But after this weekend the stress level is really going to go down anyway.
I still haven't found our bonds, but looked it up and sounds fairly easy to get them replaced from what I have read, we think they are here, but I thought I knew where I put them. But like hubs said been crazy here so hard telling. I have never misplaced something like that in my whole life. We didn't put them back as we are going to get everything out of our safety deposit box anyway.
Ok, trying to go to sleep again.

I am up now because my hydration caught up with what I ate and my body decided around 530 am it was time to be in the bathroom and get rid of stuff. Are the bonds paper bonds like EE and similar or I bonds? Are you planning to cash them soon? I don't know much about nitro pills but be careful. You are overdoing it per your post above. It really sucks that we can do less and less as we get older, but often find ourselves in more complicated situations than when we were younger.

I cannot afford them now, so this might be something for say 2025. I like that they come in C width, which I need right now. My concern is the leather used is nubuck possibly for all the ones that look dressier. I also like the gold linen color.

DD didn't leave until after midnight last night and I was wide awake at 6. Need to get moving. Told DD I would pick her up to look at rugs for her bedroom and then I need to hit the grocery store. DH wants to grill some steaks today, and I need to cook up some breakfast sausage for him for the month. And we are completely out of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Probably will try to use the rollator I got at the health clinic and see if I can make it roughly .4 miles one way and buy my Zevia soda as the coupon expires today.
I might not even make it out of the complex and across the street, but today's a good day to test how this rollator thing will work with my damaged and swollen knee/leg.

Made it to the beach and just as we hit the sand, the rain started in earnest, so Franklin the Dog and I returned home. At least he got to do some preliminary sniffing and peeing. Great that you have a new job, giramomma. It amazes me, reading posts, how little of workplace "success" depends on hard productive work and how much it's tied to relationships.

Heels should work, I tried on some too tight 3" heels I have at home and it was just fine, something ever so slightly taller will be perfect. Event is end of August, so I'd really have zero time to hem anything. It's all going to work out in the end!

I must really be out of it this week. I slept straight through the night until my alarm went off at 8. I need to get moving and feed the pups, but they are both still out cold. still, I'll get moving soon. I'm not sure what was going on yesterday, but I just felt off most of the day. like, no amount of water or sports drinks was getting me to feel normal. I ended up having a bowl of chopped watermelon for lunch and that seemed to work alright. we are getting a break in the humidity this weekend, supposedly, so hopefully that helps.
Wimbledon women's final at the top of the hour, so I know where I'll be. 😎

Very pretty dress! I have been having some chest pain the last 2 hours, I finally took a nitro tablet, think its ok now. Will see, I can take up to 3 if needed before calling the doc or going to ER. My diet has been awful the last 2 weeks, way to much fast food, not enough veggies and fruits, going to have to get my diet back on keel. Also to keep my energy up have been chugging sodas, not good at all. Tonight water and going to do the same tomorrow. As hubs said we just have to survive 2 more days till this sale is over. I'm going to bed really early tonight. I am exhausted, I have been for about 3 days and just couldn't stop. I feel much better now, likely the stress, poor diet, and lack of rest. I dread the next 2 days. And I got the bonds out of the safety deposit box to get the lowest earning ones out to cash. And no I cannot find the pouch, why I didn't lock them in the pill closet I don't know. And they are a lot of money. Now I will stress over that. May have to do with all the stuff hubs had moved in the area I had sorted. I had personal papers and things out noone should have had access to. I hope you are okay and get feeling better. I also hope you find those bonds! Good luck with your sale and all you are doing!

I'm glad you got out Gira hopefully it's my turn next.
I don't think I'm in danger of being fired.
I think my case is more they want me to stay in my place. With a negative review I can't apply anywhere in the company for another year nor can I try for either associate position open.
Cause the I'm the world's worst employee seems to always happen right after I have a shot at moving up.
What the micro management said to my face in our meeting further confirms my suspicions.
I also think I was sacrificed. "Someone" has to get a four and if they had given it to the tech that actually deserved it it would have started raising questions and brought notice to his 35 outstanding corrective actions.
Much easier to throw me under the bus.
So I'm out and if I get a job and they ask why I'm leaving I'm going to say I thought you'd be relieved given how big a liability I am for you guys.
My one coworker said they are oblivious to the fact if they keep driving me to leave the lab burns down. Good.

Up and watching the women’s final at Wimbledon. The Covid cases are still tucked into bed. TD slept well, got up for water and the bathroom, and cocooned himself back up and is back asleep.
Nothing from the doc as to the Paxlovid.

I seriously overslept. Have to get moving if I'm going to be back in town by 5 so DS can make the plans with his dad.

There wasn't much produce at the farmer's market. I bought corn and some fig and strawberry jam. But that was fine, because I was jonesing for doughnuts from my favorite shop that is on the way home. Turns out they are closed for vacation until July 23rd. I had toast.

The federal government and most states are not tracking Covid cases. The best indicators are wastewater levels.
Hospitals in California went back to masking requirements yesterday. I don't know if it was one system or one section of the state.
The number of people here that have actually bothered to test and I know IRL is crazy. I am thinking after my sister goes to a wedding and then a funeral on her husbands side of the family, she will have Covid and I will be in search of a driver for my surgery.
The person who the funeral is for died from Covid. Every time that family gets together, they pass Covid around. Sister and her DH have done it before and I don't expect this time to be any different.

I hired a guy to mow down the weeds that are growing along the house from when the grass seed ran off. They have just arrived.
So I am spending the inheritance of my niece and nephews because they no longer have time to help me.

I have been popping in and out of the estate auction across the street. My husband and his parents have been there all morning, but I get bored standing around watching people bid on things that don't interest me. So far DH bought a mailbox, MIL bought a quilt, and FIL bought a cedar chest. It is too big for their car, so we will need to store it until we can drive it out in our truck.
I went back for the property auction, and we ended up not bidding on the house. We were thinking it was worth around 50k, but it got bid up and sold for 90k, so that made it easy not to bid. It is going to take well over 100k to rehab it and there is no telling if the final value of the house will be worth everything that is going to go into fixing it. I hope that the buyer restores it instead of demolishing it and building something else there.

We grabbed breakfast at a local diner and then went to the big grocery which was fully stocked. I tried not to get sticker-shocked in comparison to Aldi but it was scary. Fortunately, their store brand is excellent and a much better value than national brands.
Even with my melatonin, I didn't get to sleep until midnight so I'm dragging today and need a nap.

One of the things I discovered in comparing Whole Paycheck to cheaper grocery stores is that while most items are more expensive, the basics are not. I discovered this when I walked off without milk from my grocery run. My next stop was for cat food, next door to Whole Paycheck. I decided to bite the bullet because I didn’t want to fight the cheaper store lot again. Milk was comparable in price, along with a few other basics I checked out.
