azucena can you help bonus teen apply for a replacement SSN card and birth certificate? IME only parents/legal guardians can get a replacement SSN card of a minor. Likely the same with BC. In my state as long as you are 16 years or older you can get any of that stuff on your own. You just need some kind of ID to prove you're who you say you are to get the birth certificate which might be a problem if she doesn't have a driver's license.

I also have central air, which really only gets used around this time of year to drown out the fireworks for LD. but otherwise, yes. max output, and this house includes a ton of extras that use electricity like all of the excessive recessed lighting, smart outlets, night lights, etc. it was actually a rude surprise to discover that the outlets on the kitchen island aren't included in what the generator powers while running. So weird. You would think that would be a priority for having a generator. the rest of the kitchen is there, just not the island - which is where I do most of my prep/plug in my laptop and phone, etc. but yah, just add it to the list of shit the last guy screwed up.

I took DD to get hers replaced, I can't find it, she is 17. They needed both mine and DD's driver licences. I think she may have been able to do it on her own from start to finish, but I had started the request under my account, but she had an official ID. I think it is the same for the BC, the hard part for bonus teen would be having the official ID herself, I don't know if they would take a school ID card. Her school may have copies of at least the number if that helps, I imagine they would let her look at her file.

I think we have very different employers. I have witnessed some things where I work that are upsetting and think they were not handled 'justly' by HR but at the same time I really don't think anybody would be fired for making a complaint. They are very conscious of avoiding even the appearance of retaliation. In fact, I do know of a situation where a complaint was lodged against someone at the top (who has since left) and the complainant was moved into another department and stayed on for a number of years. FWIW this has been my experience with HR as well. My company generally treats employees very, very well. I'm 90% sure that I managed to remain anonymous when I reported the affair couple fall of 2022. My current day-to-day work struggles are mostly due to incompetent boss and other leadership. I forgot about that. Remind me what ended up happening with that?

Need to get tires for my Tesla. I’ve never bought tires for any car except for replacing a flat. I see Michelin and Pirelli in tire stores near us and seems like off brand? kumno?Any recommendations for or against? National stores or local? Guess depends on tires but front seems pretty low on ridges ( not sure what this is called) and back seem better. Rotate? Have 38000 miles maybe all 4 new? I’ll be keeping this car for a long time! How?? Did you always just sell your cars with really low miles? I have bought more sets of tires than I care to even think about. ![](https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/cry.gif) My Flex is in need now, and I'm eyeing up the other set of smaller rims I have for it in the garage that I bought off a totaled one thinking I'd put snow tires on them, but the summer tires on there are in really good shape. Might buy myself a year using those first. But, yes, you should replace all 4 if they need it. Especially with nearly 40K miles as the difference in tread between old and new would be a lot. Do you get them rotated regularly?

Pulled out the fridge and it was only about half as nasty under it as I thought it would be so that's a win!

Correct. gs11rmb I don't have any legal paperwork regarding bonus teen. It's been a whole saga that I've mostly posted about in mom thread. Playing phone tag with soc worker again this week to keep pushing for paperwork.

I had hope for a moment as I just figured it was 18. Google confirmed health.mo.gov/data/vitalrecords/obtain-vital-record.php#collapseNine. RATS! I did recently learn that 17 is age of majority for healthcare in Missouri so we have until Nov to put that hurdle behind us. Really completely frustrating that if the mom would even just give me kinship guardianship I could move bonus teen into my fantastic healthcare with no extra premium and teen wouldn't be stuck with Medicaid places. I legit wouldn't take my cat to the dental place that we've been to 4 times now. This last time teen left in tears after they tried to pull her tooth with 10+ numbing shots that didn't take. Medicaid doesn't cover laughing gas until that type of appt fails. Meanwhile there were 2 other ladies legit screaming in dental chairs in the same room while their own dental work was being done. It was surreal and inhumane. We are currently referred to oral surgeon and I managed to have teen sweet talk prior dental office into giving us her medicaid info. Most of it I can't figure out though including what type of MO medicaid plan she has. When I call oral surgeon and give medicaid participant number they say they need plan type too which is mind boggling. Teen's dad's girlfriend is coming over to help with her hair this afternoon. I'm going to gauge if she's as much of an ally as teen seems to think. If there's any glimmer there, I'm going to pull her aside and ask how much dad knows about current situation. Unfortunately, dad is in prison but he still has parental rights. Would be a major coup if he'd just sign papers to give me guardianship. Teen has said multiple times that he's been the most stable adult in her life which is CRAZY but likely true. This has been like living in a messed up movie.

Someone def look over my shoulder at MO birth cert link I provided and see if I'm reading something right. I'll add them to my lengthy call list and it'll be another place where I leave a message never to be returned.

It might be enough to get some things started with her job until she can get the actual card.

I forgot about that. Remind me what ended up happening with that? He was allowed to quietly quit. She remains working here with no repercussions. He took 18 months to "process life" after going thru a "hard divorce where ex-wife schemed him outta everything" meanwhile timing was such that it was very, very clear that he was cheating on her. He spun the whole she was "only" a SAHM who earned none of it. She raised your kids you MOTHER FUCKER and put up with your sorry ass for decades while you were screwing who knows what. He lived in the northeast and proceeded to move to StL to live with co-worker. Fortunately another co-worker keeps me looped in on the gossip. She warned me I might run into him/them in grocery store and I chuckled that I couldn't see them stepping foot in Aldi or Walmart. He's 15 yrs older and now that he's gone several of my clients have privately told me good riddance lol. Affair woman has since been promoted and then her dept re-org'd away from mine so I thankfully have very little contact. He eventually landed at a direct competitor of ours with a higher title so I will likely see him at industry mtgs which will be barrels of fun. And every so often one of the new peeps will start whispering to me the details of the juicy story and I have to poker face. Unfortunately some of that gossip includes her having an affair with another long time sales guy I worked with even more and really admired. Looking back there was a whiff that the two were overly friendly but I always figured that it was one-sided from her direction. I sure hope admired guy wasn't a cheater bc he seemed like a stand up guy and was a great mentor to me. He also had the SAHW who raised their kids while he traveled 150+ days/year. And he was 20 yrs affair woman's senior which is just gross.

Def appreciate the suggestions so keep 'em coming. Old place only ever got SSN from her mom and teen kinda burned that bridge when she quit a couple of weeks ago. I've been hearing her side of camp counselor friend phone calls and kinda sounds like she dodged a bullet as current counselor crew is cliquey, too many of them are hooking up and fighting and when friend complained to management they ignored it because they favor the ones involved.

Where is that saying a minor can't get their birth certificate? It says a parent CAN for a minor, but nothing prohibiting the minor from getting on their own. I found this: I think you'd still need some kind of official ID though....

Oh, and about every two months I uncover another hidden gem of client communications that affair sales guy left behind as a souvenir. Some of them egregious enough that I need to involve our new senior management who then ask lots of questions to which I have no qualms saying that guy never did any hard work. We're easily up to $5Mish range of 'mistakes' he caused. Oh and his boss at the time who knew about the affair has also left for better job as did one above her so there's literally no one left within shouting range of responsibility. Fun times!
And it's so hard to watch the "bad guys win" in cases like these. That's part of why I hate reading what Drama and Gira are stuck in.

You never cease to amaze me because that links to www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/USCODE-2010-title42/html/USCODE-2010-title42-chap119-subchapVI-partB-sec11434a.htm where it says "(6) The term “unaccompanied youth” includes a youth not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian." OOOOO and acceptable docs in this link health.mo.gov/data/vitalrecords/obtain-vital-record.php#collapseNine says Alternate forms of Identification Documents (At least two alternate forms of identification documents must be used if applicant does not have a picture identification card when applying in person) Alternate documents must display name of applicant, may display date of birth, date of issuance (or year), must display institution, company or organization/agency name. Letter from government or social agencies - wonder if soc worker would sign this? School yearbook - she's in DD's yearbook from last yaerA W-2 form issued within last year in addition to a signed Social Security card (social security numbers must match) Social Security card or Social Security numident printout (print out of an applicant’s Social Security account of activities) Court certified adoption papers that includes adopted parent(s) name Official certified deeds or title to property Certificate of vehicle title or registration documents Proof of auto insurance Insurance policy (health, home, life, etc.) Medicaid/Medicare document or identification card A payroll stub that includes a Social Security number of applicant (cannot be handwritten stubs) Military discharge document (DD-214) Cancelled duplicate check (must show name, address, signature, and name of institution) Utility bills which shows name and address of applicant (water, gas, electric, telephone) Shelter name band (including name of shelter)

If she can get the BC, then it will be a lot easier to get the SS card. She will just need some kind of picture ID to go along with it and they take school IDs if she has one.

I think Gira's working on the salary for the new job.
I have one suggestion: don't be pinned to one number but make sounds about a range and benefits' value including PTO/vacation/time off. Look on Glassdoor to find the actual numbers to go in a range. You already know how much you must make. Now look at what possibilities there are for could make.

Always for the money contributed. For earnings/interest on the contributions think it’s the 5 year rule

She does have school id. We're under a time crunch for job starting Monday. Anyone know what their leeway might be? Do they absolutely have to have soc sec card or just number? It's just part time retail at Plato's closet. I just sent her mom a text requesting medicaid card, soc sec no and birth cert and reasons for each. Same text every two weeks repeated 3x. Offered to meet her anywhere tomorrow to pick them up. Pretty sure mom and rest of fam got evicted again as they are suddenly moving to a 'better' place which teen learned from older bro. They were in this rental house for 18 months which teen said is the longest she would have ever lived anywhere. Seems like a 6-12 month eviction pattern as long as she can remember.

Yeah. I already have a good idea of PTO. And, it's ok if that is less. I did ask/attempt to confirm that I'd be paying into the retirement system and still have access to the health insurance. I can live with less vacation days. I can't live if I'm forced to get subpar treatment if my cancer comes back. I also have the official salary range for the job. And it's fine. I'm not in an appropriate classification, now, anyway. DH will have a CTJ talk tomorrow about risks and finances. We have options. While I'm not fond of it, we are close to being able to pay off our mortgage from our Roth Contributions. It would be better to go that route than cash out the taxable. And I have to say, if you would have told me that I'd have a paid off house at 50, with the number of kids we have on our income, I never would have thought that was possible. We have some big ticket items that we need to look at. So I don't know if it would be better to use the Roth for those. My pension won't get hurt if I take this job (assuming I pay into the system).
