Had the last play of the season tonight. Beetlejuice was very entertaining.
I swear the first born, type A daughter thing is a damn trap. I'd love to be the person who can't handle the hard stuff, the one who checks out, the one who doesn't suck it up and figure it out.
I've got to fix dad's one state tax return and I don't have time to figure it out. My service must have been wonky last week when I was in TN because I had no missed calls from him but a voicemail that I just found this week.

Filled the feeders tonight and found out that one was pretty busted up when it leaked seed all over the floor of the garage so I'll have a big project tomorrow afternoon. I ordered 2 new ones from Amazon. We had the cutest ever teenage opossum on the deck this morning at dawn. He was about 9 inches long plus tail. They are adorable at that age. Possums look like Satans spawn. That is all.

Tomatoes were “ugly” before they were bred to be appealing in appearance to sell in the groceries. I know. Well, I know that now, because I have learned lol. It did not help that the first year I grew tomatoes, in grow bags on my deck, they really were pretty and perfect. Until the f’ing squirrels got to them and ate all of them! I didn’t really know that I’d just gotten very lucky with all the pretty tomatoes I got that year, before I lost all of them to the squirrels and gave up, until last year when I grew them in a container on the ground. Then I had cracked tomatoes, tomatoes with Blossom End Rot, tomatoes that caterpillars got to before I did, and tomatoes that just were plain old ugly for whatever reason. Yuck! I will not be surprised if there is a whole field of tomatoes on the other side of the dilapidated fence on part of the back of our property, where Mister and DS threw all of the tomatoes that I was totally disgusted with last year. Which was probably half of them lol. But I am learning that I must be much more stubborn than I thought I was, because for some reason, it is very important to me to keep trying to grow tomatoes. I don’t even know why, since I don’t even really like fresh tomatoes much, although I do love tomato based sauces in cooked food. Maybe it’s because I really would like to provide and cook with home grown herbs and vegetables, and tomatoes are *supposed* to be fairly easy, so it makes sense to my brain that if I can grow tomatoes successfully, I can move to other vegetables. Or maybe I’m just a crazy person for real lol. I stopped after the first year we were here. We have a fairly substantial crow population, and they were getting into them before they were even ripe.

Good morning, intent invisipeeps, planning moves and developing thick skins for unwarranted criticism and growing uglass tomatoes and doing elder care and pet care and just generally caring. Welcome to Friday. You made it to the end of another week! Next up is July. I hope your day allows you to shed all your cares and simply revel in summer. Good morning, Cheesy FL-Vol. Yesterday turned out to be a carefree day. We went to DSis's and gave great niece her birthday present. She's 5 today. She was beyond thrilled with the alarm clock. We got one that looks just like they do in cartoons, analog, with two bells on top. Plus we learned that she and her brother will be having another sibling soon. The kids don't know yet. DSis had major landscaping work done plus a new fence put in circling her back and side yards. It looks like a park now, just beautiful. Today will be a lot of work packing up for the dual efforts tomorrow, the show and the art exhibit, both here in town for the "Homecoming" celebration hosted by the improvement association. Many thousands of people may come. I hope so. I need to sticker everything, label everything and price everything, then hope for the best. We'll turn around and do something similar next weekend, so the work will have lasting value. It was pouring early yesterday morning, but the very late afternoon near sundown was dazzling:

What a gorgeous picture finnimeI am so tired of my workload concerns being dismissed at work. Some things shifted, and I told my supervisor X is going to take more time. My supervisor said "no, I really don't think so. X is not going to affect you now, because the focus is on A, and so-and-so is responsible for A." As it turns out, X is going to take way more time than I even realized now. Yes, we are focusing on A. And we are learning now that there is a whole lot that needs fixing with regards to X. And it's going to start sucking up likely 15-20 % of my time in the near short term. Which is a lot to take on. Considering the rest of my workload. And of course, I have more work on my plate for next year that's coming down the pipeline. And, I was assured that if there was more work, they would look at hiring.

TGIF!
Getting annoyed because when did my job become babysitting and placating people's whining about transportation mishaps? I'm over it. I can't possibly give any more Fs today, and the day just started.
Need to get myself on those SQL classes ASAP bc a pivot is much needed at this point.

I am the opposite of excited for this damn vacation (too many minutia in the prep with the potential to make or break) and I Don’t Wanna. On the bright side azucena will be happy with me that I finally texted the psych to request an appointment for myself. I just hope we can come up with something that doesn’t involve another ten days of “nope, shit, that one causes migraines too.”

And, actually, my immediate thought is while candles are nice, with awareness of folks' sensitivity to smells and what not that's not a thing I do much anymore. (Unless there was a candle to cover up middle schooler stink. Then, that I would buy.)

I'm sitting on an email with a coupon code for Yankee Candle, thinking I don't need to stock up b/c it is summer and the windows are always open. I'd say go for it!

I love nice smells, but we have so many nice incense sticks and enough smelly candles that I really shouldn't buy any more. ..... but that Amber & Moss from PF Candle is just other-worldly. ..... Maybe later. Besides, we'll likely be on vacation when it delivers and I'm not trying to come back to a box of nasty melted candle.

I so love scented candles. I don't burn them a lot, because I can't bring myself to spend the money, so all the ones I have were gifts and I use them sparingly.

OMG Finne that is an amazing photo!
I am so jealous of your photography skills.
Do you sell prints by any chance? I'd love a copy of that one for my wall.❤️

I am an incense junky and have been since the 90s.
For whatever reason most incense doesn't trigger headaches like candles do.
There are some scents I just cannot do. Lavender and frankincense are two big ones.
I got one at Walmart recently I need to pitch because it tried to kill me. It's a tropical type scent.
Certain incense makes me think of certain places and times. It was always burning in the Old Market in the 90s back when they had a ton of new age stores.
Boulder used to smell of it all the time too.

I cannot stand heavy scent. I have to sniff shampoo and body wash before I buy. My laundry stuff is unscented. I also sniff cleaning products first. Right now a lot of my stuff is Method.

PF Candle also sells incense, but I'll wait til we get back. I know it won't be on sale then, but I can cash in work-related incentive points for Amazon GCs and they sell on Amazon....
Honestly, if there's anything I *should* be looking to buy, it's outdoorsy water-friendly sandals and proper hiking pants. Not sure when it happened, but I messed around and got Lyme sometime earlier this year (or maybe last year, it was hard to tell from the test results) so I need to get some more protective hiking clothing.

I don’t burn candles. Leery of putting molecules of wax into the air in our house when they burn

We don't have candles in our house as my husband cannot handle them. I need to buy some for gifts, but I never know what's normal, good, overpriced, etc.

I'm updating my watering spreadsheet for DS#2 and his girlfriend. They're going to take care of everything while DH and I go to Vancouver, BC.

I need to buy some for gifts, but I never know what's normal, good, overpriced, etc. they are soy-based, so they are less toxic than the normal "cheap" kind. The scents are quite nice as well. The prices reflect these attributes (ex. $20+ for a small candle is normal).

Boulder used to smell of it all the time too. Incense. Sweet memories. At the concert for George, we were handed incense and asked to burn it. We get to our seats and some woman comes down and asks us to put the incense out. We told her we were asked at the door to burn the incense in memory of George and we did.

Realtor and I talked, she is listing the house for $550,000. I know they now have comps they did not have before, she said it will sell. We may have people relocating due to now powerhouse manager and another power plant being built plus the thousands of acres of solar panels going in. She wanted to know the possible number of bedrooms, I told her 5.
Of course, they could convert 2 storage areas to bedrooms too and still have 2 left and room for a bathroom downstairs. So could be 7 bedrooms total and a huge game room.
I figure she may have someone in mind as now they are with Keller Williams and I'm sure they do relocations. I think its KW, its one of the majors that bought them out.
I'm waiting for the mover to respond, but have to get busy.
Want to finish vaccing up and down. Tag items over $1, take more trash out.
If I have time mow part of the lawn that hubs didn't get mowed.
And I need to find my for sale signs I took out of the car yesterday and now can't find, damn, damn, damn. They are big so how can I lose them?
Also sweep the coon poop off the front porch!!
I also got change for my sale tomorrow, I just hope people come.

Son is buying our Buick for DIL, its a really nice car, I kind of wanted to keep it, but that's ok. I, told him whatever they get our of her 2018 will be the sales price and he knows that's a good deal. It's a 2020 with 90k on it so high miles, hers is too. But it has a lot of nice features on it that hers doesn't so will make her a nice car.
Now we have to drive mine out there, sigh. I really wanted to sell it here, but that's ok, we will do it.
I could take a nap. I'm sure sleeping in, in the morning.
Smokey, my baby, slept by my feet last night. This morning he came up and flopped down beside me snuggling, and I put my hand on his tummy. He took his little paws and pulled my hand tight against him and went back to sleep. I think they are trying to make up for being such wild cats. I love them to pieces, even Tigger is snuggling.
