I have been binging the newest TS double album. Going out with the neighbors on their boat this afternoon. Just taking it easy for the next few hours. I got a bit too much sun yesterday. Fun! Enjoy!

Great week work wise. Lots of new opportunities opening up.
Personally - I'm ready to burn this sh*t down to the ground.

Well, spent another 18K today to have my basement torn apart. Great deal huh? Woohoo! Is that so you water can be pumped to the north side of your home so you can install a sump pump?

I may need to temporarily turn in my YM card. I spent $100 online for the dogs this morning, followed by a trip to Wally World where I spent about 3X what I normally do in one trip. In my defense, I haven't done a big shopping trip for groceries all week long, and can usually go below $50 to restock the basics. I figure all of this wedding spending is a bad influence on me.

DH fixed breakfast (his choice since we were both too full last night for him to serve dinner). Then I cleaned toilets and we went to Aldi and my first ever time in all these years of experience with not one, but two bitchy clerks. Filled the bird feeders after DH found the one that some culprit - likely raccoon - moved to the other side of the yard. Our side yard is carpeted in miniature poodle sized poop and we don't have a dog so that a pretty good indication we got coons and that's okay.
He's got a load in the dryer and I'm getting ready put one in the washer. Tomorrow is the big community Earth Day plant swap with 40 free trees to give away, a Master Gardener lecture, free seeds and tons of fun.

And I just got a notice that our health clinic is going to 2-step authentication to access our online portal-what a major PITA. If someone wants to impersonate me and get cheap generic drugs, they are welcome. They would need my DOB to actually pick them up, and I don't think there's a big aftermarket for BP meds and crappy statins.

I am blonde and trying to decide how I feel about it. I was thinking highlights were a mix of original and new color but there’s not a lot of original color left. I think I‘ll like it once I get used to it but I’m not there yet.

Yes, but we're not getting all the way to the north side. To minimize damage, they're going out the side. The family room and hall all have tile floors, those two bedrooms are nothing in one (torn out carpet) and carpet in the other that I can just lift up. They will have to wreck tile in the back room where the sump is going , tear up the cement diagonally to the West wall about halfway to the front of the house, and tear all the lower half of the walls out including the lower half of the studs (everywhere it's blue in the picture) to put in a drainage system that feeds to the sump. They will not be fixing the walls. They're also putting a well in around the back window with a drain going to the sump. The sump has three pumps in it. A primary a secondary and a battery operated one.

It's totally dry 99% of the time, but when it's not...it's very much not. It's been about 3 years since the last flooding and I just don't want to deal with the clean up again.

MPL, Goo Gone will take off adhesive for most stuff. Or soften and loosen it so it can be scraped off. It's really good stuff. Will take off adhesive of stickers stuck on appliances too so you don't mar the surface.

We're hosting dc friends tomorrow night again which means I need to clean. And yard work/patio work needs to happen too. I'd like to get my nails done tonight though too. Decisions, decisions.

I'm listening to an AB and catching up a bit on the threads. My DD called this morning with disturbing news. Large family, lots of issues both good and could be better. As usual, I'm tired after pickleball and tennis this morning. The outside temp is 93 degrees. The next big thing is visiting with the neighbors on the patio with drinks. Catching up.

We've had multi-factor authentication since pre-covid times. I'd say since 2017/2018. And we have to log in and MFA into each system separately: the LMS, Google Workspace for Education; our different file management systems if you directly access each tool.

Well, I'm in the dough nut hole already. I went to get Ozempic today, last time was $400 plus for 3 months. Today was $335 for 1 month. I am going to have to drop, can't afford my 3 high cost meds if this continues. PA and I talked about me reducing the dosage and see if I can do it. The last 2 weeks I used .25, I'm still ok, but about 3 weeks for it to lose efficiency. I sure hope I can. I'm trying to mentally stoke myself to not eat so much. Hope I can do it. I could do 2 months out of a box if I can do this. I pay a lot for Nextlizet and for Premarin too, the rest are cheap or no charge. I'm not sure about Washington. It looks like DD will be eligible for Medicaid, but because of our household money we may have to pay for part of the premiums? It says may so I don't know. Hubs wants me to go ahead and qualify for it before we put the house here up for sale, but that would mean we lose hers here. Her meds cost over $25k per year if we had to pay those and I'm paying out of pocket $12k for mine. I think hubs was $6k. We sure can't afford to lose her coverage. My SS is totally eaten up by premiums and meds and now its dipping heavily into hubs. I was talking to son today and he said the cost of living is eating him alive too. I priced car insurance up there and the lady from State Farm was going to give me a quote. My car up there is only $578 a year, she is figuring the same coverage and she said don't be shocked the premiums there have gone crazy the last couple of years. I paid the premium for the modular up there so now I have all the those bills paid. Wow, the last 2 years is really getting to us too. I'm sure all of you are experiencing this. But our income is going down and yes, I worry. We have assets but its likely one of us could live 20 more years and I'm not sure we can handle that. I'm so sleepy can hardly stay awake. I was going to pull weeds when I got home today. But a front came through, temp dropped 20 degrees so 57 out. By this afternoon that area was in the shade, I'm not going out there and freeze, I will try tomorrow. I had all these plans of stuff I was going to do, bet I don't accomplish them. And I'm cooking at home this evening instead of eating out. We are having catfish, okra, and salad. Wonder what the guy that burned himself up at trumps trial was trying to say That was sure dumb.

I have zero issues having 2FA. It offers some level of protection of my information.
Received text that another cousin passed away earlier this week. Took his own life. It's so sad and breaks my heart. Looked it up and it's on the volunteer fire department Facebook page so it happened--in the middle of the fire department's spring BBQ.

I don't feel that it makes my information any safer - if my clinic is hacked, my SS and everything else is going to the dark web. All it does it make it harder for me to order an RX refill, get an appointment, or have an E-visit. I'm so sorry about your cousin. It's a loss and the circumstances make it all the harder for you and others in the family.

But there is a big market for identify theft and if someone goes to the doctor and uses your insurance you could suddenly be billed for co-pays etc that aren't yours or even worse that persons information gets co-mingled with yours in an electronic health record. It could impact you getting your drugs because after all according to the records you shouldn't be taking those drugs because of the side effects when mixed with the drugs this other person was taking. Another persons information in your health record can have many impacts on your ability to get the correct and proper treatment.
