We should take a pool on how many paper grocery bags of stuff is going to leave the house today
I'm about half done with the closet. So, far, two bags, plus one bag of the missy's outgrown clothes. So, three bags total. I'm about to open up a 4th.... I admire your ambition and I'm seriously jealous you can still get paper bags to use for that type of project.
Paper bags are extinct here and all we get is plastic, plastic and MORE PLASTIC, which don't hold squat

Starting on my second half gallon of water for the day. I'm either going to flush this stuff out or float away.

Well, 6 people in 1800 sq feet accumulates a lot of stuff.
The missy is at the stage where she is outgrowing things, which is fine. We are actually completely done. I mean, at this point, there's no way I get pregnant like one might read about in the bible. So, we have things to get rid of.
Plus, I want to clear out the family room so DD1 has a place to host her friends incase the weather is bad. I can't put stuff in the closet, if the closet attacks us when we open it. And, it would be nice for the house to be in good enough condition that they could have friends over. And I might even get a shelf to put my craft stuff in the closet.
And, I also likely have about a good week of the kids being overly helpful and considerate. I'm not wasting it. After DS leaves, we are shuffling rooms around and we have to repaint. That is going to be a big project, even if we are down one kid.
We also have a ton of plastic bags I need to figure out how to make a mat out of them, like athena talked about. I'm also considering taking some business-light classes in the fall.
And incase I get cancer again, it probably would be best to get some of this stuff done now while I'm able.

Working on side job while DD2 naps. I really should have either Saturday or Sunday, but that just never happened.

I need to get busy. The kids were fed some time ago. I can't imagine DIL worrying about little guy eating. I fixed him a ham and cheese sandwich for breakfast, that's what he wanted. It's Boarshead meat, that is the only brand I will buy for luncheon meats. He had 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of bread and all of it toasted, he ate it all with a 1/2 glass of apple juice. Then he ate 2 packages of those little fruit pieces. I know they try to get him to eat healthy, but he is a growing boy and needs to eat even stuff like this.
I also buy Boarshead small bologna, and he likes it. Said it had been 2 years since he had any. But that is just for lunch. We may have shrimp tonight with seasoned fries. Don't have deep fried often, usually cocktail shrimp. So this is kind of rare for us too.
I'm not sure what I will cook tomorrow. Little guy absolutely loves Subway. His dad said the bread is almost like sugar, whatever, he is like all of us. We were all skinny growing up, it's as adults we got fat. As long as kids aren't filling up on candy, cookies, and cakes, there is lots of healthy food out there. He also loves cucumbers and I picked something like 14 so far. He and I both like those peeled, sliced and with salt. Sooo good. We are going to try some green fried tomatoes, he has never had them. And we will have lots of others things, also spaghetti of course, all kids like that.
I am going to make up the beds, fold clothes, and change the litter box in the basement. Then DD and all of us are going to get ready and go buy little guy some new shoes. I bought him size 10 jams and I swear they shrink each time they are washed, think I will get him some 12's. I need to get busy and I'm sitting here. I went to bed at 1 AM but didn't get up till 10. I slept well last night. Did not have a soda in the evening and used my nose strip so slept well. But I'm always tired I could take a nap right now.

I only buy Boars Head lunch meats too, for the no MSG. We like the maple honey ham and maple honey turkey, but I sometimes get the well done roast beef and rotisserie chicken. No one will eat those but me. Except the boy, who will eat it if the turkey and bologna are gone. Gets expensive with a boy who can easily go through 2 pounds a week.
Yeah, I'm ready for these kids to be out the house.

I am inside, farting around on here. Need to get a drink and go back out. Too much yard work and I blew it off all weekend. Oops. Not really. It'll get done eventually, just not all at once.

I know they try to get him to eat healthy, but he is a growing boy and needs to eat even stuff like this. While it probably isn't healthy for adults, that sounds pretty good for a kid who's growing- very protein-heavy. I listen to a podcast on medical subjects by Dr. Peter Attia and he marks his kids' height every 6 months. Growth is irregular, of course, but he noted that there are times when his youngest, age 5, seems to eat more than his 2 older siblings combined- and it always ends up being part of a growth spurt. When DS was little there were times when I didn't know how he got through the day with what little he ate, and days when he ate everything in sight. I figured he was following the clues of his own body- something most of us cannot do when faced with a slice of chocolate cake!- and I shouldn't argue with him. It also keeps food from becoming a battleground between kids and parents. He's 37 and in great shape so I guess it worked.

Not really funny considering that about half of the population lost its bodily autonomy. What does that say about independence? I do hope everyone has a wonderful day though.

I'm experimenting with dips today. I'm making four of them--all with a plain greek yogurt base.

success! I found a 75' hose at the Depot. and, long latex gloves. apparently there is foxglove growing at the chain link fence, on crazypants' side...but growing through to mine. she called over the fence while we were building the pool deck yesterday to let me know what it was. I secured the tarps better yesterday, but I really need to get it out of there. she said she was having it removed on her side, thats a huge bush. mine, I should be able to just yank. it's growing from whatever pollen blew over. she said if I can't, she'll send her guy over. I thought that was a nice gesture and said so.
right now, I'm sitting parked at the neighborhood beach. I remembered between errand stops that my car has seated seats. ahh.....AC is blasting and the seats are on high. I'll go home in a few minutes.

Sometimes I think I do it to punish myself just for the heck of it. Had lunch and getting more hydration so I can work outside later. Laundry done and the master bath shower stall is scrubbed.

I wasn't making fun of Independence Day, but of finnime subtle comment on happy 4th to all those not celebrating Independence Day.

I do get a shelf in the closet. We are all pretty excited about that. All of our games fit on one shelf. I know I'm supposed to be sad about my kids growing up. But, it is so nice. I'm also up to about 6 bags. DH may have to take his van to drop things off. I even threw out some yarn bits. (!)

Slept well despite the early fireworks in my area - it was terrifying to watch the amateurs on the street behind me shooting rockets in the air with our tinder dry conditions. Tonight will be horrific - nonstop from dark to maybe 11-12. I'm terrified of fire so momma ain't happy here.
We're grilling chicken tonight so lunch was at one of our favorite Asian restaurants. I ordered the Triple Delight, shrimp, squid and scallops, and the Double Mushrooms with Snow Pea Leaves. OMG, so good! Brought home the leftover 'shrooms and leaves to go with tomorrow's steelhead trout. The mushrooms were king and shitake, each distinct in texture and flavor.
