Works4me I don’t know who, if anybody, is putting that in his head. If he confides in anyone, it’s probably the guy I call his mentor on here. I would hope his mentor wouldn’t say something so foolish.

When Mister was sick and sleeping in the other bedroom, Boy was sleeping in the bed with him at night and both dogs would get in bed with him during the day.

Out of the blue, a few days ago, Newbie started getting on our bed when I would go to bed before Mister. Now Boy has learned to wait until we go to sleep and ease up on the bed without waking us up. He might would get away with it if he didn’t move around so much and stayed at the foot of the bed instead of slowly creeping his way up, trying to get his head on a pillow, because that’s what ends up waking us up anyway.

I couldn’t go back to sleep after Boy woke us up and then my foot started hurting again. Mister couldn’t go back to sleep because he has bad heartburn.  We were both just tossing and turning. I finally gave up and just got out of bed.

I take the coming storm very seriously, please don't think I don't, but the fact that it's named Finn makes me LOL. I come from a very long line of Finns, Finnish people. Hearty as hell, creative, introverted and not very demonstrative except with each other. Strong believers in sisu.

People, men, used to tell me to smile when I was a very young woman. I understood that they wanted me to look decorative and not take me seriously. Now if someone did that I'd glower at them.

I spent yesterday farting around with my website, putting the few calendars remaining on super special and doing some writing. I also got my birthday burger at Red Robin. It was great.

We still have ice and snow outside. It's 21 degrees, although in 24 hours it should be up to 50 or so. We on the coast are due for prodigious rain with a likelihood of flooding. My home is on a rise so it should be NP. I don't even have to pay for flood insurance.

The sun did break through yesterday after sunrise after the snow. Before that there was a break in the clouds on the horizon that let in the long rays of sun that were reflected in the water:

It is snowing again. Should turn to rain around lunch time with flooding possible. Gah.

Well, by some miracle we've escaped getting 9" of snow. I think we'll settle out at 6, but the storm coming up later this week also appears to be hefty.

We all got told to stay home by our director.  That is unusual for Omaha.  Normally it's "We ride at dawn bitches!" while the weatherman is warning everyone to stay home or you'll die.
   
I'll take it.  Of course I got the notice AFTER I spent 20 minutes cleaning off my car.

But I guess at least it won't freeze now and will be easier to get into tomorrow.   I don't mind cleaning off snow it's the 30 mile per hour winds that blow it all directly in your face that I can't stand.

First day back to school for us and it's going to be rough.

New hot water heater is being installed mid morning. Awesome timing, but we've done years of let's just try it repairs that have worked but apparently 19 years was its end. Still seems kinda soon.

Work is kicking my ass. And if it turns into $$ at least that part is good but I may have to fire my newest client if they don't get their act together. I can't spend my time chasing money like theirs.

Forgot to schedule with dc therapist so we're another 2 weeks out, and somehow didn't schedule with ds endo. Was apologizing to DC and started to say I didn't know how that happened, and then stopped - I know exactly how that happened. Too many plates in the air and inevitably something gets dropped.

Random lurkyloo - do you have an airfryer? I'm guessing you do but it's been a game changer here for dinners. Set airfryer on preheat - season protein- even frozen solid - toss in fryer and it's not done, but it's pretty quick and clean up is easy.

Years ago we got premade meals from a local place I wish I could find again.

These young men said their mom thought the song was awesome.

We do.  DH mostly uses it    It makes a lot of french fries.
Part of the issue is vegetarian vs. carnivore, but I’m not kidding when I say I specifically need someone to just tell me what to do at dinnertime.  We’ll see if the meal service helps reset my thinking but waaayyyy too many of our meals right now are defaulting to tomato sauce on some form of carb (pizza, tortellini, spaghetti).  Sometimes if I’m feeling ambitious I’ll put tomato sauce on riced frozen veggies.  I make stirfry with meat and veggies but it’s not a given DS will eat it and I’m really sick of chicken soup and tacos.

Somehow in all of two visits to my mother we have a tradition of roasting salmon with brussels sprouts (bc DS and my mother will eat that and DH and I won’t touch it haha).  This most recent visit DH got DS to eat a lot more of the sprouts by pretending they were really close to punching out the back of his throat bc he was slurping them      Boys are so gross.

Holy Moly! I had another heart attack when I woke up Monday morning!
I'm currently in the hospital and scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Hopefully they can put more stents in, or re-open the stents that are already in, if they closed.
It hasn't been my best day, but if they can fix the problems I've been having, with this, I will be happy!

We're supposed to get about 2.5" of rain today, but the big worry is going to be river flooding from rain and snow melt north of us. I have a council meeting tonight and will have to leave my house during projected heavy rainfall time. Nothing like looking like a wet dog on camera!

The county I live in still has a normal school day. DD1’s after school activity was cancelled though. 🤷‍♀️
