Bought a pre-made lasagna for my birthday because I wanted one but didn't want to assemble one and we just ate out on Monday. I got it from Alidi and it is fantastic. Served it with garlic bread and a salad. Very full. I'm going to buy this again and check out some of their other pre-made stuff. That might help with my lack of enthusiasm to cook on dance nights. Happy Birthday DQ. Glad your premade meal worked out and might make some future nights easier.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate cooking? I swear if I ever win the lottery I'm hiring a personal chef. My afternoon is shot, my kitchen is a disaster, and the food isn't all that healthy either.
I love this!

Good morning, passionate and compassionate invisipeeps of Y Ma'am. Welcome to Thursday, the winter solstice for those who celebrate and for those who don't; it's the solstice for all. I hope your day finds you rejoicing at improved health for any you love who are under the weather. And doubly joyful that all.the.things to get done are done, cleaned up and put away, so you can enjoy imbibing if only on cookies. Today I'm going to make snowball cookies and run errands with DD, and take some photos for next year. And enjoy a get together with a few others. I'm not sure what if anything to do with my website. The calendars are now at 25% off and free shipping, so close to cost to me. I only have a few left. Other items I think I'll wait on putting up;; need to get organized. DH came up with the idea to make a coloring book from the pictures in Counting Tiny Dinosaurs so we're going to do that, to pair with the book. DD will color a couple of the pages by way of example. DH has been in a creative burst of energy for a couple of days, writing and readying for his own web site pages. It's good to see. Since he is getting by this year entirely without dialysis, he's freed from some fears. Yesterday was a good day. We ate at an excellent szechuan restaurant up near DSis and determined the menu beyond the given prime rib for Christmas day. And the sky was clear, the wind, low. The only clouds were low in the sky at dawn:

Waiting at the church for the school chapel service and the baptism of DD11s friend and classmate. I was asked to be the godparent so pretty exciting day.

Trying to figure out if my dream about a Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Rugrats crossover is brilliant or an abomination.
Also that will teach me to eat 3/4 of a loaf of garlic bread before bedtime.

Talked to NIL's mother on messenger today. They live in Odesa, Ukraine. It's being bombed every night so they have gone to Norway. She said we, so I am assuming her husband is with her. NIL is in the US or Ukraine? NIL is in Toronto. Her sister is in St. Louis. The parents are in Ukraine.

so apparently my parents were "in the neighborhood" and want to drop off xmas gifts for the pups and me. I appreciate the heads-up call, they wanted me to come meet them as so not to upset LD, but it will be fine. he doesn't do the same level of meltdown as Punk when they come by, so they are just going to come here. I didn't get them anything, but I do have a stash of Irish goodies from the corporate gift basket that I had set aside for them. so there's that, and then I'll open the wine basket that the boss sent. there's a bunch of chocolates in that one, too.

Little guy coughed all night, he had croup. We did the inhaler but didn't last long, also Vicks. He has caught what I have I'm sure. Son was griping and going on. Told him didn't want to hear it, like hubs said, I spent half his growing up years in doctors offices with him. He may get over it but little guy has problems. I was going to go too, he said why you think I'm not going to take him? I said no, just that I know what he did all night. If I wasn't taking all this stuff I would go back to where I was in coughing and all so not so sure I'm getting better, it sure is dragging on. He called early and got the last appointment for the walk in clinic today so something is going around.
His mom wanted to know if he wanted to go home with her and he said no, I want to stay with grandma. Like I said before its peaceful here. We had a nice evening even if he had a runny nose and coughing. But his night wasn't good and I'm exhausted.

Guess who was determined to go to work this morning, saying they felt “a little” better. I did not like that idea at all, he still hadn’t eaten anything since Tuesday, and I felt like he was going to undo whatever little bit of progress that was made last night. AND we still do not know if he has COVID since I obviously did something wrong with the test last night and he wouldn’t let me do it again, He tried to appease me by saying he would only work 4 hours. I still did not approve. And he left the house in short sleeves, which was okay because he was going to wear a jacket.
He is back home, earlier than he planned, feeling worse. He tried to lie and say he felt okay, but I could hear it in his voice, so he admitted he felt worse than he did when he got up this morning. There’s no point in me trying to care for him if he’s going to do dumb shit.

When I got it, I was fine, and then it knocked me on my ass. I was down for a few days. I still worked from home, but there was one of those days I couldn't even do that.

Just spent 2 hours at the DMV playing musical cars. Since I gave T2 my old car, I transferred the title to her. She doesn't want her ancient car, so I'm keeping it as a spare until it sells. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just old. Then I had to tag my new car. $650 and two hours later, I'm back home. Ouch!

Taking a quick break. Gingerbread cookie dough is in the refrigerator chilling. Everything is set up to decorate sugar cookies. Negotiated with Kiddo on the number of icing colors. We settled at 6. One of which is white so I only have to color 5. I'll make the icing as soon as my break is over.

They keep it so damned hot in here! It's 84 American. I've been trying to do housework, but sweating profusely and feeling faint. Water, water, water! Then they're going to raise the rent enormously, saying they had to pay far more for heating. Turn down the damned heat, and it won't cost so much. It's natural gas.

In Toronto when we had to test with someone watching us online, we had to do it ourselves. It's not that hard unless he is like my dad and totally inept at anything health wise. By going to work, he exposes a bunch of people. If he has it, he is still in the time frame to get drugs to help. If he has it, whatever Christmas plans he has with his children, should be postponed.

That is 20 degrees higher than my house right now. I could not survive in a house that is 84. My dad kept his place on 80 after freezing for 67 years. We all thought that was too hot.

I told a friend about our boss and that he is going to hospice. She's never known anyone close to her who has used hospice. Why is he doing that. Can't he just go on the way he has been.
I can't explain it all to her. It hurts too much.
I wish she could understand his pain.
I gave her his address at her request. She gave me a message for him for when I talk to him. I told her for the last year, the rules have changed and he calls me. I don't call him. That is his request and I have honored.

We keep our house at 73 degrees. For some reason, any cooler and I can "tell" that the house is getting cold. Thin Scandinavian skin.

I slept almost 11 hours last night. Definitely needed after the last couple of nights. Hands are cramping again. Took meds and have braces on.I think it is time to consider surgery. I just wanted to put it off as long as I could. You can avoid surgery with Vitamin B6 therapy. I did it myself. I had a good friend who had surgery on one wrist before she knew and wished that she had known about it.

Carpal tunnel syndrome Early studies suggested that B6 might help reduce inflammation and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, however, most well-designed studies have found no such link. www.mountsinai.org/health-library/supplement/vitamin-b6-pyridoxineHowever, you could develop peripheral neuropathy with B6.

I know SO many people who had the surgery, from patients to my BFF to the priest at my church to my neighbour from South Africa, and a neighbour who lives in another building here at the complex. They all sailed through surgery and said they should have done it long ago. It's a simple surgery, done as an outpatient, and you go home the same day.

First world problem.....a few weeks ago, I mentioned that the locator number for one of our flights this spring did not work on the website. This was a flight on Singapore Air, bought through a consolidator. The flight was a very good deal, and despite needing to stay overnight in Singapore, we booked it. When the locator number did not work, supposedly they needed copies of our passports, but all was good. The TA said that SA takes a few weeks to update their records. This was right around Thanksgiving. She said we still had the flights, this was just a bookkeeping issue.
It was not. We have no flights, but have paid.
She came back with a couple of alternatives, paying an additional amount of money to SA for our original flights, or booking Delta flights through Seoul for the same price. The price we paid was about $600 less than Delta's website, so we chose that. As soon as I get a confirmed flight reservation (which I WILL be checking in Delta's website this time), I'll be canceling the hotel I booked at Singapore's airport. Bad thing is that we will be arriving about midnight. I HATE coming into a strange airport that late at night, it's just too hard to get your bearings.

Sitting in the hospital waiting for DH to be discharged. He had a stent put in one coronary artery earlier today. We’re just waiting for the doctors assistant to come by, then we can go home. I’m glad he finally went to the doctor about the pain he was having in his upper chest. His doc sent him to a cardiologist who found a slight blockage in one artery.

I have next week off and I have a whole house clean/organize project planned. I want to get every last bit of moving done. I just have a few things I've thrown in my office and ignored.
I'm going through a room per day and organizing aand cleaning it. I mean washing walls and carpets and everything. I also plan to put all the Christmas stuff away in my storage area. I'm hoping to start 2024 with a clean house. We'll see how far I get.

He needs to test again and he can do it himself. It is not a hard test to do. I know he needs to test again. He’s only doing it in the first place because I want him to, so I doubt he’d do it himself. I’ll do it again this evening. Idk what I did wrong last night, the control part didn’t even have a color. I followed the instructions exactly, so I’m not sure where I went wrong.
