Woo Hoo! My package from Amazon was just delivered in a USPS truck. Glad I was home to hear the "thump" on the porch. DAV hasn't picked up my donation yet.

"Wasn't she the one who was such a great cook?"
Yes many Russian dishes and baking cookies near the end. She'd measure ingredients and supervise my wife baking cookies.

My cohort at work that always calls in on Fridays was promoted. Well, really they created a new job title for her because she's always done something totally not related to quality as her primary duty. Anyhow, she's going to be salary now. She'll never be here! Between being able to work from home and unlimited PTO she's essentially a part-timer now. How does the unlimited PTO work - I was told even though they say that we have unlimited PTO I cannot take more than 5 weeks and can stretch it to 6 weeks if its really needed It's a benefit for the company since there's no accumulated time to pay out to employees if they leave. I get 7 weeks each year and use every hour, I'll keep that!

My condolences to you on your MIL Ken. I'll say an extra prayer or two for you and Mrs. Ken.

Hands have stopped cramping, thankfully. No more calls on the schedule for today, just need to run a couple of reports.
Might do my hair and makeup before DH gets home.

I think the first interview went well. Lots of positive feedback. Second interview, if I'm offered, will be right at the start of the new year.
I think this could be good.

My MIL passed away Saturday at 100 yo. We had a big birthday party in September in our yard and she really enjoyed herself. Then things went down hill with an inoperable bowel blockage and 2 weeks in Hospice without food or water. My wife is holding up well but she's keeping busy with arrangements. Picture and obit are on fb and I see some of you have seen it. Thanks I'm so sorry, Ken. I know how much you cared for her. Paskha and January 7th will never be the same. Living to 100 is quite impressive.

chiver78 - Whatever came of the "gimpy dog" situation? he had sedated x-rays over lunch hour today, and he's out cold in his favorite chair. the vet said she manhandled his leg while he was under, to see if anything felt structurally off, and nothing jumped out at her. so they x-rayed the leg and his hip to have a few angles to send off for a radiologist to read. I don't expect to hear anything back til tomorrow. I have instructions to give him some of the pain meds left over from knee surgery, to keep him comfortable for the time being. so basically, we're in a holding pattern still.

It was 4 years ago today that I lost my dad. It still hurts. I miss him. I have pretty much pushed the dementia years out of my mind but they pop up at times. Today is one of those times. The sun is shining and that helps my mood. Not doing a lot today. I do have 3 webinars today. I might not do the one in the middle because it's a sales pitch. Thinking of you today and sending hugs! 🤗

Girding my loins to keep my temper for the board meeting this morning. Pray for me. I’ve decided to say very little and not resign but quietly circumvent the shenanigans. Good Luck! (and it is nice to see you posting more here.) Ok, I kept my temper because the B started whining and just annoyed everyone. Finally she got one person mad enough to tell her off. Then the dept head jumped in and said that we were all just “ communicating “ and that set everyone off. She was told off in no uncertain terms and told to stay on her lane. The department head was smart enough to keep her mouth shut then but this isn’t over because the B was boo hooing to the dept head because we were so “ mean.” Talk about middle school behavior but when the bully gets ganged up on, she’s the victim. I’m not resigning and she’s in for a rude surprise from now on. The board controls the purse strings and good luck getting anything from it.

It hurt last night at my birthday dinner. We had a really good time and I like my dad's SO but at least to me it was very obvious my mom wasn't there. I did not expect to be celebrating my 40th birthday without her. I’m so sorry.

Sipping a cup of coffee. I guess, somehow, DH and Kiddo are trying to one up each other with this pinecone Christmas tree decorating. Right now they are making mini presents complete with ribbon. I find this entire thing hilarious. I've been done with my pinecone for 20 minutes. Glued some cotton balls down and called it snow. No presents under the tree in the forest!

I finished editing another chunk of the book today and will decide on the sequence of chapters in the morning. And I feel a need for retail therapy

I took a donation of one item of clothing to the Catholic church here. I know now where my donations will be going of clothing and food. They have a donation box and the items stay local.
This is a town of 2000 people and I would rather keep my donations circulating in this area than taking it to Goodwill. I didn't know this existed until I saw it on FB on Monday.

My momma is driving me fucking crazy! She called an ambulance this morning because she had bad diarrhea all night, and wondered if maybe she had COVID. SHE JUST RECEIVED COVID TESTS IN THE MAIL! That did not start my day off well, and I’ve been out of sorts ever since.
Now she wants me to come take her home. Mister’s sedan is in the shop, she can’t climb into the Tahoe or the Jeep and she barely fits in my coupe, that sits low to the ground, even on a good day. Wtf am I supposed to drive to go get her?! Plus, she STILL HAS FUCKING DIARRHEA and it’s a 40 minute drive to get her home.
She does this shit all the time, gorges on food and starts shitting everywhere with diarrhea.
Now MY stomach is hurting. I’m about to cry.
