Whoops spoke too soon, now he is having yogurt, he is going to eat like his dad and grandpa. Been many a year since I have had a growing boy in the house.
Now I'm starting to get aches and pains in my body, not sure why, maybe the weather? Weather changes affects my osteoarthritis badly. I have to look up how to use affect and effect. I know I use a lot of words wrong in sentences, but I need to look them up to use them correctly.

Hi, empress! Other than the cat, work and discover card, I am in the same situation. Hacking up both lungs, want/need to go to the liquor store (but I'm not today) and I haven't started shopping yet. I don't think a 3 & 5 year old are going to understand, when grandma says she'll give them Christmas presents later. And this g-ma can't begin to compete with their other g-ma, or their g-pa, when it comes to spending on gifts. But this g-ma is 100% real and has no debt, which can't be said for the others. It is, what it is. So my "adopted" 9yo twins (mom is very good friend and single mom) always get way too much stuff from others at Xmas so years ago I got ahead of that and I buy them advent calendars. No Xmas gift in my case but the anticipation and fun they have with through those calendars is great. Maybe you can do something like that in the future and add a mani/ pedi other gift card for the day proper. That's an excellent idea, BUT their mother already buys them each at least one, every year. I must say, they do love them! There's nothing these kids don't have. The few times I thought of something (a few years ago, I was told by DD2 No. That her husband wanted to pick that item out and buy it. These kids have been on 2 cruises in 2 years and the oldest is 5. They've been to Disneyland every year for the last 3 years. They have multiple toy/playrooms. And if it weren't for me refusing to play with them in their playrooms, when they're a mess, they would never get cleaned up. That's more my son in law's fault, then it is the kids. If he picks up a toy, he opens the door and just tosses it in, on the floor. He doesn't make his niece and nephews clean up, when they come over. -But I digress. Maybe a cute sheet and comforter set. I'll let them each pick out, after our "spa" day. I'm liking that idea. If their mom or dad doesn't, it will go directly in the garbage. That makes it hard.

It is time to retreattothe one place I know I will miss for the next 6-7 weeks: my very own bed. It is barely 11:15 but I do have to get up early. If I can't sleep get at least I'll be comfy.

Good morning, you beautiful albeit invisible people of Y Ma'am. Welcome to Tuesday. I hope your day starts without any sort of hangover, or if there is one, you have access to rehydration and pain relief, via IV if you must. And I hope you're all driving something pleasing and serviceable. For me, DH and I share a 2013 Prius which works great and gets 50 mpg. We haven't had 2 cars for 10 years now. My car history is a series of solid sedans that get no more exotic than the two Volvos I had post-divorce: an S60 then a high end S80. Loved them for their safety, tremendous power and meaningful options--heated leather seats, reset buttons with memory for mirror settings and driver's seat positions, capacious interiors. Excellent for a single mom of 2 who worked hard for her money. I bought them certified used. Other than that it's been basically Toyotas and a Honda or two, since my first husband's parents gave us an AMC Hornet stick shift. I've never had the set up to work on cars myself, even changing oil, so reasonable costs for service is a big part of deciding what to get I'm really glad, Pink Cashmere , that you got your appointment with the therapist. I hope that begins to give you some relief from the pain you're in. Our tree is up and decorated. DD came yesterday to help, then we had blueberry pancakes and bacon for supper. It was a stormy day so no beach. A year ago we had swans here at this time. I couldn't get close enough for a very clear shot, but I did get this:

So glad you are back home. Now take care of you and get well. That is an order from NNP. Yes, ma'am! 👍 (I know you have fire and freezer access!) 😉😁 Today, Dr suggested I go to ER for full medical work up. Said she thinks I was/am dehydrated. I told her, I'm doing better now. 😊 Heard from DD2 today. Like nothing happened. Did she even ask how you're feeling?

I'm supposed to have an apt inspection today and recertify for my lease. Not going to happen. I haven't even felt well enough to unpack my bags, I dropped next to my bed, when I got home. I was told to put a note on my door, for the inspector. I did, so if he chooses to come in, that's on him.
Last week, at the pharmacy, I was supposed to get $20 cash back. The lady helping me was new. She didn't give it to me. I was sick and didn't catch it, in all her confusion. So I called the store later and asked about it. They've been holding it for me, since. I need to get that too. Maybe in a couple more days.
Time for sleep, now.
I hope your day goes well for you you.

I do not enjoy this time of year at all. It is way too hectic for me. Just the work/school uptick is bad enough without tossing Christmas in there. I have to burn 4 days of vacation and can't really afford to with everything going on here, but screw it. I'm taking tomorrow off and I'm not even going to try to get anything done at home during that time. I'm going into full on slug mode for the day. Maybe a day on the couch with a frozen pizza and a bottle of Nyquil will help me shake this cold. It's mostly gone, but I'm still deaf.

I hope the day of rest helps you feel better. I've got two more Wednesdays off before the holiday shutdown. I hope tomorrow helps adjust my attitude, because I'd have already needed bail this morning if I was in the office.

Yesterday I did some christmas shopping with DD. Bath and Body Works had an amazing sale, $4.95 for all their "body care products" like body creme, lotion, body wash, body spray. I spent like $130. Gifts for my coworkers are taken care of. ETA: Included in that is DD's friends, she paid me back the $20. I also bought some body wash for DH. He likes the "beachy" smelling ones for after manual labor. Damn you! Now I'm going to that site!

I’m in the hospital with DH as he is going for a cardiac catheterization. Only another hour or so to wait to see what the next steps are. He’s been having some upper chest/esophagus pain and they are checking for blockages. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Did you know that there is a toll road in TX that doesn't tell you it's a toll road? I guess it just has cameras and send a bill to the owner of the vehicle. So Enterprise billed me for tolls even though I paid all tolls in cash as I went along.

I hate it when in my personal vehicle because somehow the bills never show up until they are already past the "due by" date.

Taking a break to organize my files. At the facility, doing manual labor today. I am going to be sore tomorrow, but I have already finished half of what they should have been working on in small batches for the last 3 months - plus met with and solved another departments issues.

Back from the grocery store. It wasn’t too bad of a trip, but it was still a trip out for celery. There will be another when I figure out what I need to take to the potluck for an appetizer. I’m just tempted to go to the local Thai place and get 6 orders of chicken satay to go. I like the prawn rolls better, but those are best eaten on delivery. unless you've got something you absolutely want to cook and bring,go the takeout route. I did that for Saturday's party, and. it was way easier than schlepping a hot dish an hour away from home and having to reheat. take the opportunity to find some oddball appetizer you like and make that one option. one of the pizzas I brought is a garlicky white pizza that is topped with a fully dressed chicken Caesar salad. the handful of times I've shown up to this house with that, it's one of the first things wiped out. Yep, I have already decided to go the chicken satay route.

So the no-effort job application (I didn't even write a letter, as it was optional) has yielded a first interview next week.
