Have you considered that it may be bronchitis? I'll find out today. I have an appt at 2pm. UPDATE: Doctor said I have a bacterial infection, tested me for Covid, RSV and something else. All came back negative. Prescribed an antibiotic, inhaler and a cough suppressant, for nites, to help me sleep (so cough doesn't keep me awake). Advised not to take cough suppressant during the day, so I can get the crap out of my lungs. Suggested I don't watch my grands, on Friday, before they leave, to avoid passing what I've got, onto their family, before they leave, Friday nite. New doctor was nice. I'm so glad I went. Apparently this infection/cough could have continued and become much worse, if I hadn't. I should start feeling better in about 5 days. Thanks for the suggestion and encouragement, that I go.

I am contemplating what I want to do for Christmas. Mister seems to want to cook. I am contemplating about having my Grandbabies wake up here in Christmas morning like they’ve done every year since I moved here, except for last year. I am leaning towards doing it, since Christmas is on a Monday this year, and I will have Tuesday to recover. My Christmas holiday as far as my job is concerned, will be on Sunday, Christmas Eve, so if they draft me to work, it will be Sunday, and not actually Christmas Day. But I get off work late enough now, that I don’t know when I’d do my part for cooking dinner, or at least prepping everything I can to actually cook in Christmas Day. I won’t know until the week before, if I’ll have to work Christmas Eve.
I am still in a pissy mood. I did have my counseling appointment yesterday. It ended up being virtual instead of in person, which I prefer, because she said she and her husband are sick. Virtual is better than nothing, I guess. I told her some of what’s been going on, and asked her how do I stop being so angry. We talked about the other emotions I am also feeling, and I got out of what she said, was basically that imma probably just be angry until I’m not. It would’ve been helpful if she’d told me I could make the anger go away if I clicked my heels 3 times and turned in 2 circles, or something like that.
As much as I’d rather not feel all the other stuff, I’d really prefer not to be simmering like I am. I still have enough self control that I’m not acting out or lashing out, I just don’t like how this feels, like I’m on the edge of a cliff, and any little thing might push me over and then I’m acting like a damn fool.
I am just trying very hard to focus on me and what I need right now, with my top priority being whatever I need to do to try make sure I am able to go get my money.

I hope someone else finds their new favorite dishes from this link 🙃 I just know my cabinets are small here, and I'm working with what I have.

Hi! So, job -wise:
The first goal is to make it through December 15th. After that it's Winter Break until June 2nd.
So far: On Monday, I met with a colleague who is supposed to check on whether or not I'm doing the thing that I have a philosophical disagreement with. I asked him to give me more specific guidance because our boss will not explain what it is she wants done except that I need to stop doing *A* . (*A* part of the thing.) I showed my colleague the memo I'd sent to my staff explaining to stop doing *A*. His response: "But that's how we're all supposed to do it. You must have misunderstood." I showed him the single example she's shown me of *A*. He responded again with "But that's how every school in the district does it." He assured me that I misunderstood. I said, but she put it in writing. He said he'd go talk to her. I assured him that I wasn't trying to argue but that I was asking him to help me do what she wants done. He went on his way.
On Tuesday, our boss called me and said that colleague was in the room with her. She said she had just emailed the directive she gave me last week and told me to open it. She said that she didn't understand what colleague was saying I was not supposed to do. I read her the part in the letter that we're talking about. She said, "Oh yes, you need to stop doing that." Colleague started to politely explain to her that I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing. Boss still couldn't give another example of how I'm not meeting her expectations. Colleague tried to explain again that he didn't understand. Boss just started saying "do what's in the letter, do what's in the letter." He said but the other schools are doing this, why can't Chloe? Her response, well it's not working for her. "Chloe, just do what I said in the letter." Colleague and I are still confused.
Today, she came for our weekly check-in. She sat down. She asked me how far I was with *X*. I said I'd finished it ten days ago, and she was confused. Last week she tried to tell me that I wasn't doing *X*. I tried to tell her last week that it was done. She just couldn't even come up with anything to say. She literally faked an incoming phone call and left. We met for an entire seven minutes.
I cannot comprehend what it is that I've done to piss her off so much.

It pulls up on my app so I'm guessing that's the problem even if I Google search it, the default is set to open in the so.

Good morning, perseverant invisipeeps, attending health and family and job concerns with aplomb. I hope your Thursday proves fruitful and offers answers to vexing questions you have, and that your holiday preparations continue without issue. Spent yesterday writing; today is the last day of Nanowrimo. I think I might just make the 50,000 words. Also brought DD to an appointment and then we all ate out. MY PCP ordered the vitamin D after my blood work came back in showing I was low. Not sure how low, need to check the patient portal. I did think of two things for DH for Christmas: a Lenox moose fingurine/tree ornatment that he collects (he's into moose), and 2 iced tea spoons that match our flatware pattern. He really likes these spoons but has a nasty habit of accidently throwing them out when they fall into the trash by his chair. Gifts for the man who needs nothing. It's warmer this morning, 30 degrees now. So I won't need my heated gloves, unlike yesterday morning. This is the sunset followed by the sunrise yesterday:

Of course DH's main gift arrived on a day he was home. Luckily you can't tell from the packaging. I did not open it and put it in the closet. He asked what it was. Told him nunya and it isn't opened. I do need to open things and make sure that they are ok. He works this weekend so I might just open, inspect, wrap, and take to my mom's until Christmas Eve. We do our celebration with the ILs then, relax at home in the morning, and visit my family in the afternoon.

Definitely open it daisy. I got a box yesterday that should have had the polo shirt I've been trying to track down for DH. Instead of the 3 different items I ordered, they sent me 3 pairs of pants. I wasted over a hour in the chat line last night before I gave up and went to bed.

Just felt a little lopsided.🙂 Let's not forgetting I'm a lot heavier and I gained a bit more in the last year, sadly enough. I sit on that thinh again and it will burst this time. Just stop it. You are not fat.

Sometimes all it takes, is to be intelligent and well liked for a supervisor to act jealous and wonder if you are looking to take their job. I have personally been in situations where the supervisor refused to work with anyone they considered more capable or intelligent than themselves.

Barring something else popping out of the woodwork we should be filing for Medicaid tomorrow. Only 24 hours. PLEASE PLEASE universe cooperate with me. ETA: I am expecting to be rejected. I would honestly be surprised if it goes through the first time that's not how the government works and they can't keep the money if they don't put up as many roadblocks as humanly posssible to get you to give up. But I have help now and know where to turn if it gets rejected. I just want to make it through round 1. It has been an absolute shit show getting this far. If it gets approved that would be awesome.

Ok, my van wants to live. After some TLC it's gone from an acute cardiac event...unlikely to survive, to urgent, but possibly non-life threatening. I'm not sure if I'm keeping the Tuesday appointment at the shop yet or not...might try some things I can do myself (or have my dad help me with) before sticking more money into it. At least now I'm fairly comfortable I could make it driving to the shop. Sunday night it 100% would have needed a tow.

Good Morning! I just got back from Target, and discovered going there before 8 am during the holiday season is a great time to shop. Not that they had everything that I wanted in stock, but oh well...

toomuchreality I am glad you like your new doctor and got a firm diagnosis and treatment - hope you improve quickly Pink Cashmere I am happy you got to talk to your therapist even if it was online, and hope you can spend Christmas (whatever day you can celebrate) with the grandkids - I know how much you love them. chiver78 I check my old Amazon orders and I got 6 of the 8-1/2 inch Corelle plates in 2021 for $20.13 so your bowls do seem crazy expensive - but what isn't these days?

Garbage bags? Cooking spices? Gift bags (although I like how inexpensive they are at Dollar Tree)? 1 - I'm well stocked from HD, bc I keep buying when I forget that I already have two big boxes in the basement. 2 - same, Penzeys 3 - Christmas Tree Shops (I'm a Make-a-Wish volunteer, always needing gift wrapping options....) I actually left the cart hanging out. the one thing I needed that was time-limited wouldn't have gotten here til after I needed it anyway....December 9th, really? it's not even December yet. whatever. so, I'll just add to the cart as I remember things. the one thing I did remember that pissed me off, is that I wanted to add a few more 1qt Corelle serving bowls to my cabinet as I've been using them more for salads, soup cans, whatever I don't want splashing over a plate like linguine. I found a 4pk of these bowls for $40 on Amazon. I do not remember paying $10/ea for the ones I already have, but I could be wrong...? the Corelle I do have was all bought at the outlet, so that and time may skew my memories there haha... Are they very specific bowls that you can’t find anywhere else and that’s why you’re looking at Amazon? I have found some more moderately priced Corelle dishes at Walmart and our local big grocery store of all places.
