Prepping for Christmas baking tomorrow. DH and DD1 are going to Hamilton tomorrow. I'll have the missy and need to keep her busy. Bars it is. DD1's boyfriend is coming over tonight. So there will be assorted goodies. Plus St. Nicks shopping. For having nothing planned, it's going to be a busy day.

I have officially completed another trip around the sun. I was going to clean today since I have time. It's supposed to snow today so I'm not going anywhere. Then I decided not to. I don't wanna clean on my birthday. I'm going to be lazy and finish my Britney Spears book. I'll take a shower and do a face mask later. I may order food this afternoon since I won't be cooking.

Cold at the beach this morning--27 degrees, but no wind at all so it was not painful even w/o heated gloves. Okay, Canada, you can stop snickering now. Nice sunrise today.
Now I need to start the laundry. We have quite an accumulation. And buy some restaurant gift cards, for which they give a bonus 20% in value until Monday. Good deal. It will be nice in March when money is tight again.
Sorry for those of you who didn't get enough sleep. Think cozy thoughts and rest now.

I have been very bad on my time off. Lots of indulgent eating and lounging around and it's starting to catch up to me. I'm super bloated, have heartburn and a headache and just feel blech. Not thrilled about going back to work on Monday, but at least I'll get back on a healthier schedule eating wise. Normally I fast 16 hours a day and that does not happen at home ever, especially with a fridge overflowing with leftovers.

I ended up dozing off around 6am for a couple hours. that's probably my nap today. 🤷♀️.
it's in the 30s here today, so we're gonna be mostly inside. pups will just love that. 🙄 oh well. bathrooms have been cleaned, the mail shite pile has been weeded out, and. the dishwasher is running since I forgot to start it last night. I'm being ogled as I eat my breakfast sandwich, but they don't know I also cooked off a box of sausage links for them, that are cooling while I eat.
today, I'm decluttering the dining room table, that somehow collects everything so quickly. I'll probably dig out my Charlie Brown Christmas tree for the centerpiece, as it makes me smile. as does the ~1ft tall ceramic one my sister gave me when she found a regular-sized one. the tiny one is on my tall counter now, as a nod to my Nana. both my sister and I hit the roof when we found out Mom tossed Nana's without offering it up, as she was clearing out the house before selling.

I raised 2 kids with health issues who needed attention throughout the night, it becomes a habit when an alarm goes off like autopilot. You know what needs attention and what doesn't. This was an out of the ordinary occasion. Plus I knew last night he wasn't gutting out of bed this morning. I think it's best for everybody if I just take a nap now. Exactly. Dh's medication alarms aren't for emergent things. It's because he forgets his pills and ignores his alarms. He complains about how little and poorly he sleeps - which I'm not disputing- but somehow he's always sleeping soundly when I can't sleep. I almost never ask him to handle ds alarms anymore because I worry about him waking up for the important alarms. It's beyond frustrating. I hope you get a nap in today if possible. Eta - To clarify this post and my last one were meant to commiserate. I understood the commiserate. No worries. And I did get a nap and feel much better now. Now I'm worried because I talked to AT&T customer service to order my new phone before my nap and have not received an email confirming my upgrade. I guess I'll call them again. |
