I’m so annoyed. My neighbor’s dogs are barking nearly non-stop. Is there anything I can do to get them to shut up? I tried a whistle but it didn’t work.

The law here is if they're barking non-stop for 5 minutes or more, you call the local police. That's a violation. And also very annoying. We have 2 dogs and I immediately bring them into the house if they act up outside.

Trying to figure out what to do with the leftover rotisserie chicken for dinner tonight. So far, butter chicken is winning, but not hung Ho about this idea. How about ... I can't think of the name... it's a white sauce with cheese, you serve over noodles. I think it starts with an f. Sometimes people put chicken in it. I love pasta dishes. Chicken Florentine? Delicious!

This is ridiculous. I didn’t sleep but a couple of hours Thursday night and felt like crap all day yesterday. I went to bed early tonight, just to lay in bed and not necessarily go to sleep. Dozed off around 8 for about 30 minutes and have been awake since then. I have been through my list of tips and tricks, including guided sleep meditations, thunderstorm sounds that help sometimes, and getting out of bed briefly. Yet here I am, still looking crazy.
One time I got out of bed and I guess Boy forgot I wasn’t in the room or something. When he heard me coming coming from the den, he came flying down the hall, snarling and barking. When he turned the corner in the hall, where we could see each other, I said “heyyy, it’s me”. He stopped, wagged his tail, turned around and trotted back to the bedroom and went back to bed.
His bark sounds like it comes from a bigger dog than he really is, and he sounded so ferocious, it actually unnerved me a little when I heard him coming. He does bark when he hears something, but that’s the first time I know of that he’s actually run like that toward whatever he heard, and he sounded like he meant business.
I don’t think Newbie even opened her eyes.

Good morning, indefatigable invisipeeps, climbing the stairway to heaven. Welcome to Saturday. I hope today is stressless and peaceful for you and that you heartily enjoy at least one activity. And that tonight brings you blessed sleep. Today is a show day. I've got prints, calendars and Counting Tiny Dinosaurs books packed up and ready to display. DH has 16 types of greeting cards for which he took the pictures and wrote the greetings. Hope all goes well. It's at the high school, an historic building recently featured in a movie directed by Paul Giamatti. I've got to pack up the car; that can wait until after I bring Franklin the Dog for his constitutional at the beach. We need to be done setting up by 9:00. Yesterday I had my hair cut. I get it done at a salon DSis uses, an hour away from me, but I'm leery of using hairdressers I don't know. I meant to at least bake the Chex mix but instead spent time preparing for the show. There's always tomorrow. And Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday are pies, stuffing and cranberry sauce and dough for the dinner rolls. The sunrise yesterday was almost graphic in its simple forms and deep color. I caught a shot of a tiny dinosaur flying into the sun, never to reach it:

Need to get moving way too early for a Saturday. Venue for the fundraiser needs some finishing touches, and sometime between today and tomorrow I need to get groceries and load up the pile of charity donations and drop them off. Busy 2 days ahead. YAWN

Forgot to add that wildfires across the tri-state have made our air quality horrible since Wednesday. We did get a little rain last night, hopefully that helps. If not, I'll be masking up today. I might anyway with the amount of people that I will likely be in contact with.

When you hear him bark, you'd think he was a 200 pound dog. Hope you get some sleep.

Jackson went on an adventure yesterday. I was going to leave and he managed to slip out the door behind me. I had to chase him down. This lady and her daughter were quite amused watching me hunt down this enormous dog. They did not get out of their car though. He's free to a good home.

The cough suppressant worked with about 95% effectiveness. I still used cough drops and drank water occasionally but the coughing was dramatically reduced so I probably got a solid 6-7 hours sleep which helps. I'll take it again this morning and tonight.

Ugh should have taken nyquil last night but dumb ass me took a 12 hour Sudafed before bed.
Not only was I wired but it dried me out too well. I had the mother of all nosebleeds.
Going to drink a large glass of tea to rehydrate. Grandma's check finally came so I need to go into Omaha to deposit it.
Lots of stuff to do today.

I'm farting around on my laptop while I wait for my coffee to kick in. going to pack the pups in the car and go run some errands. it's a hugely foggy morning, and we're already coming down from the day's high temps. I'd rather be out while it's still warm. I'll hit the Saturday chores when we get back later.

Back in the hotel room thawing my fingers out. I set up the tailgate and left DH there. I still need to dry my hair. I need to make some simple sliders before I go back over.

Finishing laundry and drinking coffee. I did the toilets and sinks in the bathrooms. I can put the showers/ubs off until tomorrow, right? I'll also sweep/mop/vacuum tomorrow. Today after I take a shower I'm going to my uncle's house. He's going to fix one of my dining room chairs for me and I'm going to put a bunch of paper in his burn barrel so I don't ruin my shredder. I have a bunch more, but I have to go through it.

Went to one craft show and getting ready to go to another one. I’ve been slowly getting Christmas gifts as I go along. Right now I have several people bought for, just need to get gifts for 6 of the 10 grandchildren, their parents and DH. SIL just texted me a pic of a gift idea for DH so I’m probably going to get that one. He’s retired military and it’s a wooden flag with places for the coins he received during his service. He’s so hard to buy for so this will be perfect.

And it's so weird, everyone has the correct name, of the character they're playing. But they named JFK, Jack. I don't know why and it took me a long time to figure it out, because I was trying to make sense of what I knew/had learned and what I was seeing on TV. I think it started at 6AM (maybe 7AM) and it ends at noon. It is broken up into 1 hr segments, shown one right after the other.

I was really feeling my choice of a jacket without wind protection instead of the heavier jacket good for the 40s. Allegedly we were in the very low 50s, but walking and waiting for the bus was kind of miserable. Finally tried the BBQ food truck on my way home. Was going to get Thai or Chinese, but just missed the early bus ... and discovered the BBQ sandwiches were cheaper than the lunch special if a bit more of a walk. Was good but sloppy. Might go for the brisket or chicken next time instead of the pork. Also hope I did not screw up and get my debit card restricted for the weekend. Oops! Should have paid cash, so will take cash with me on my planned shopping trip in a bit. Going with the more protective jacket too!

I need to get into my t-mobile account. Haven’t been in in months. I need to cancel my mom’s cell and DH and I want new phones.
So I got DH to reset. Email on acct is one that I was trying to use as User name. DH reset, gets off phone with me after I get in, it says they need primary user’s permission for me to even see any acct info. He is already talking to a customer. So we put off till later. ( this always happens. DH will work till about 2, by time he gets home today I will be gone to take Mom to church.)
This is DH’s business phone plan. His original phone # was changed & given to his Dad. Dad just uses old fashioned flip phone. His Dad’s # looks like they made it primary. We are a legacy Sprint acct. They finally killed access through old sprint site, I set up a T mobile acct, but idk why the issues. Maybe we should just take our business elsewhere. We used to get really good discounts on the business acct but T-mobile took those discounts away.
We have a family Lunch tomorrow. We are prolly going to the T-mobile company store after, although we also thought about shopping for flooring.
So, sometimes I see not to buy Vinyl Plank, you should buy hardwood? Any opinions? We have 2 dogs. DH will install, or I think he said he has someone.
Also, DH and I have had I phones for at least 12 years. DH says the new Samsungs are much better than the I-Phone 15? Is that true? I am not sure I want to transition to a different operating system.

I got my early 40th birthday tattoo. Going over the spine smarts! This one was my most "painful" tattoo I've gotten but still pretty tolerable.
I am really happy about it but also feel bittersweet. I toyed with the idea of trying to convince my mom to get matching tattoos on one of our birthdays. 40th is a milestone so would have been perfect.
Got the stuff to make Abby a button box from Coraline. I am pretty excited she is really into the movie and book. Took me freaking forever to find a little box at Hobby Lobby. They were hiding in the Christmas stuff against a wall. I am going to put it in her stocking.
Went to Five Below and cleaned then out of Anime stickers. That was one of the gift requests on the Angel I picked off the tree at work. They host a school every year and you can take an angel from it. $20 limit. Pretty proud of my haul I wasn't expected to find anime stickers I was going to pick something else off the list. I think my favorite is the Hello Kitty sticker book where they are all dressed as My Hero Academia characters.

I cleaned my dresser drawers out and took a sack of items out, more could go. I kept 2 pair of nylons, some long and short slips. I cannot remember when I've worn them, but they are nice so not yet. Might be forced to wear dresses one day if the wrong party gets in. Also a bra and one swimsuit, lots more could go. Pulled out a bunch of jammies tops and bottoms, think they are in DD's room, but won't go through them today. Still I got rid of a whole bag of items. The cats had a ball getting in and out of the slots where the drawers go. I'm getting rid of items all the time but the piles never seem to go down.
I have some huge shoes that I wore with the braces and hubs thought I should keep them. They are expensive but I hate those things. Still I think he is right. I may pack them all into one box and label them and put away in the basement for now. At least it will help the clutter in my closet. It's way better anyway than it was. I keep reducing "stuff".
We are having cold shrimp tonight with dip and either the potato salad or fries. DD and hubs can have fries, or the other if they want. I like potato salad and we don't have it often.
Hubs has been trying to eat less and lose weight, he was up to 236 again and getting heavy. He is down to 218 today, I told him he looks nice. I told him he will be a lot more comfortable if he can get it off and feel better too. Our son has been trying to eat differently and lose too. I think after he saw I could and DD he decided he needed to also. We will all be healthier for it if we can.
Well back at it, finally starting on paperwork.

Heading to a swim team party tonight - it is pot luck -- I am bringing sliced cold cuts and cheeses, small rolls for sandwiches, mayo and mustard.
Did a 5K this morning, and my times are decreasing, which is good - the knee and back are doing well, though I think I will call the doc and try to get in for another shot for my back. I was not expecting to still feel this good at this point, so I am pleased. But it is difficult to get in to see him, so I don't want to wait too long.
