working on Xmas cards put on a movie but I cannot remember what it's called. It has Rene Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr. That's on my list of things I need to start on. Thanksgiving is coming up awfully fast, and then we have to get ready for Christmas.

I know things are really awful right now. But try not to beat yourself up. You have made a lot of really good decisions over the years. A good job, reliable paid off car, minimal debt, and your house as much of a problem as it is right now. None of that probably makes today easier, but even everything that has happened you were making decisions in good faith. I hope things start to look up soon. Thank you for pointing out some positive stuff that reminds me that my situation could be even worse. And that I have made the decisions I have in good faith, because that is absolutely true. I needed that, because I can’t help feeling real stupid right now. I truly was just sharing about my DD. You have always lived an independent life. You have always worked, and have a good work history. You may not want to live in the house you do own, but you can rent it, or sell it and get something else. You were never dependent on Mister to take care of you. I am not sure you should give up on your relationship with him, but you are the one living through it. I really wish your counselor you scheduled with was more dependable.

I am watching The Last Jedi and playing on Facebook. I just finished feeding our ferocious 6 week old foster potato, er, foster kitten. Well, a fluffy grey and white potato with claws and fangs. We've been bottle feeding him, but for the past few days he's been starting to messily eat wet food. He's a cutie. Want to see him? On Instagram: www.instagram.com/peppercornmcsmiley/On Facebook: www.facebook.com/peppercornmcsmileyMy (corporate pilot) husband has been out of town a few days, but heads home tomorrow. Then next week he's off to Vegas for the Formula 1 races. (Well, his boss is .... my husband just flies the jet)

Those whelps look like hives to me also. Did the dog get anything out of the trash can, that he should not have eaten? I'm watching a Dolph Lungren movie, The Offender, soon as it’s over I'm going to bed, I'm tired. May go before it’s over. He is always getting into stuff he shouldn’t, so I don’t know.

Ikr! I included the photo, because I didn’t think I had the words to describe it accurately. And seeing his whole body this morning, was actually even worse than what’s on the photo. That is why the first thought this morning, was to take him to the pet ER, and it was still an option after I suggested we call his vet first, if his vet wasn’t helpful. He threw up the Benadryl Mister gave him this morning. Then he threw up again later. I’d forgotten that part until now. Idk what that means, but if he keeps throwing up, we will call the vet again. Thank you! The bumps are mostly gone for now, and he is acting normal. But I’m not sure that they won’t come back, since they mostly went away last night too. Bug or insect bites can cause an allergic reaction with hives in dogs. Not sure of all the timing but they may have initially gone away because of the Benadryl. I didn’t think about the possibility that something bit him, thank you. Your post reminded me that something similar did happen with Newbie last year, not too long after OG died. I didn’t see it on her though, I was already at work and Mister called to tell me he was taking her to a ER. And the possibility that it was a reaction to an insect bite came up back then. That’s when we first started giving her Benadryl, at their suggestion. You are also correct that it could’ve gone away the first time because of the Benadryl.

I remember when Mister first started being an asshole after his Dad died, I reached out to her and said that I didn’t see any appointments available online for several weeks and I really needed to talk to her asap, and got no response. I think it was irresponsible for her to not even try to assess the situation and make sure I wasn’t having some sort of real crisis.

I am having another sleepless night so far. I’ve gotten out of bed a few times, still couldn’t sleep. So I finally decided to pop in here since I’m wide awake anyway. I will go back to bed and try again in a few minutes.

Hi, Pink Cashmere. We are on the early, early, early shift today. Franklin the Dog woke me before 2:00, needing to be let out. Then he stayed for a while, so here I am.

I slept for about 3 hours, and up since 2 as well. Currently searching for an area rug. I fell in love with one yesterday but it is a bit too small. Of course, the line has been discontinued. I found one online, but it may be too large. DD stayed the night, and I am not quite ready to wake the house to measure.

Just had to stop and use the Task Manager to abort a runaway job on my trusty laptop. Getting it back together now. I've been resorting and readying photos to print. You should get your calendar in a couple of days, toomuchreality.

Good morning, sleeping, sleepy and sleepless invisipeeps. Welcome to Sunday. I hope your day is stressless and happy, and you find unexpected pleasure in something close to you, and no one pees in your coffee. Yesterday for me was a good day. We went to a gallery opening of Smalls and Holiday Marketplace items at the regional arts center, where we each had a number of pieces. Smalls are pictures not larger than 14" in any dimension. The show will be up for 5 weeks. Then next Saturday we have a booth in a show at the high school here. I've got to tot up the rest of the calendar orders as of the end of today, order more if need be, and prepare them for shipping. I've not gotten as much writing done as I'd hoped, but I think I will in the next 2 1/2 weeks regardless of Thanksgiving. Going to make cardamom-flavored braided Finnish bread today. DD is coming over for supper. But first, I go to the beach with Fanklin to watch the dawn:

ugh. I woke up to a sneezing fit. I reached for my phone to check the time when I finally stopped, and knocked it on the floor. well, it hit *just so* and cracked on the right side edge. there's a nice line across at about the "30yd line" if that makes sense.
guess I'll be researching screen repairs today to see I'm doing that or just getting a new one. this is a Galaxy S10, and it's over 4 years old. hmm....

DD was supposed to work at 5 am this am. She went out with co-workers last night. I was reminding her she had to work at 5 am via text and got told none of them were drinking and she was an adult. It was well after midnight when she got home. I got up to let the dog out at 3:30 am and heard her alarm go off. I went back to bed w/o making sure she got up. She left the house at like 5:33. I would have got her up if I hadn’t fallen asleep, but I kind of decided she could be an “Adult” when I went back to bed. I slept like crap from worrying about her. Awake but feel like crap and feel guilty for letting her be late.

Ok, I will get some of that. Right now, the bumps are gone again, but I’d like to have something on hand to help with the itching if it happens again. Another thing you can try is topical Benedryl. When I was having issues with sun (which went away as spontaneously as it appeared), I found the topical Benedryl was much, MUCH better than oral in alleviating the itch. It can be hard to find in the drugstore though. I finally found it near the calamine lotion/topical steroids, not with the antihistamines. I guess that kinda makes sense, but it didn’t when I was wanting to scratch my skin off! Thanks! Put some in my Target cart for Luna and T1.

I apparently have a wild hair to clean. Downstairs bath is clean and the fish has clean water. I think I can get some carpets cleaned over the next two days.

I did a whole lot of nothing yesterday. Just vegged on the couch - it was glorious. Today, though, I have to make up for it and get some shit done. Then I’m meeting a friend for dinner and need to pack for last work trip of the year.

finnime, mailed your check yesterday, let me know when you get it.
I ended up going to bed at 10:30, very early for me. I tried to find a really good movie and didn't. I was watching one but wasn't the best. There are lots of movies available, but many are just so so.
I got up at 8:30 and have only fed DD and I this morning. Well I did pet kitty, Tigger, this morning while he was on my lap, purring his head off. It's 10 now and I need to get busy. Fold clothes again, pack in containers, the blankets to keep clean. Going to take them downstairs, can easily get them if needed. I washed them as they were dusty from sitting up here. I may have to take a short nap before getting busy this morning.

DH just collected another 5-gallon bucket of acorns and blew leaves off the deck. Thanks to my sinus infection and yesterday's exertions at the shred day, I went to bed at 8 and slept until 6 so the body is much less sore today. I made avocado toast with turkey breast and an egg for breakfast and finished mopping the floors.
I'm going to work on the book until lunch and then we'll hit the grocery store for a few things. Tomorrow night's meeting will probably go until 8:30, so I'll probably take a big jug of coffee to stay awake to the bitter end.

At her age, it is not your responsibility to make sure she gets to work on time. That is her responsibility. If she wasn't living at home, you wouldn't know she didn't get up to her alarm. She gets to deal with the consequences and no mom guilt for you.

I just put TV on in the background and deep cleaned a bunch of stuff. I may do more today, since it's dark and gloomy. Or I may not, since I'm really craving waffles and can see a nap after that.

Went to the thrift store to get the Christmas Mickey clock I was eyeballing for dad's SO.
Turns out it is five mini clocks with a bigger clock as the control. They play up to 21 different songs and the characters pop out on the hour.
I paid $45. Not sure if that is overpriced or not but I'm happy with it.
I didn't know what to get her. I wanted to do something this year. Her first husband was an alcoholic so that's a no. She's self conscious about her weight.
Then a generic Walmart or Walgreens Christmas aisle item I felt would send the wrong message. I'm really working on accepting her into the fold.
She collects Disney stuff. I can bet she doesn't have this. I've never seen a set like this before.
ETA: Browsing the web the clock set is going from $79 to over $200 so I guess I did get a pretty good deal on it.
