We have Thanksgiving here, just the 3 of us. Then Christmas, this year will be in Washington and hopefully at our place. We can accomodate son and family and DIL's sisters family if they want to come. We have 3 or 4 seats at the bar and can stretch the table out and have 6 there if needed. It's sat up pretty good, so will work. But the kitchen is small. They may celebrate Christmas at her sisters for Russian Christmas I don't know. But hubs said he is not driving to Seattle its over 2 hours to their house and son isn't either. So who knows. I just know we will be cooking I sure hate to have to buy decorations for up there as we have so many but no way to take anything on the plane or would I. We will see how it goes. They can go or not but I'm sure grandson will be over to get gifts and it will all work out. Have you looked into shipping them? A friend of mine used to ship her clothes from California to her home in Memphis and back when she went there. Check alternative sources like bus, train and plane in addition to Fed Ex and UPS. When time is not a priority the cost can be less, especially when light. Also, check on the actual cost of an extra suitcase or three. A friend of mine swears by it and that it's not that bad.

Good morning, diligent invisipeeps, readying for the future. Welcome to Saturday. I hope this day fulfills its promise of abandoned hedonism for you. Yes, you! Why not? Saturdays have always been the day to play, since the 5-day workweek was devised. Playing puts color in your cheeks and lightens your soul. I plan on playing with Franklin the Dog, and later having tacos and ice cream with DD and DH. Maybe sangria, too. We'll laugh; it will be good. Before that I need to vac up some of Franklin's shedding, sweep and mop the kitchen and write 2000 words. We'll see. The novel is coming along. Tonight we end daylight savings time. If you live by the named hour you get another hour of sleep. If you don't then you just call the time earlier and move on. Yesterday was cold but clear, with enough clouds to make for some interesting photos. The bay was smooth, so reflections were good.

Covid is going around in our house. I think I am spared.
Oh no! Hopefully it's mild.

Well, not owing anybody anything was nice. Now I have a car note. Boo! I also have a pretty cool car though. Yay! So what did you get? That Rogue you posted a link to? Yes. It's super clean and I got a good price. I had to drive to BFE to get it though. I priced the same car online and saved between $5-10K depending on where you look, so the hour drive was worth it. I will spend tomorrow cleaning out the old car so T2 can have it. I'm going to get it detailed for her too.

Oh no! Hopefully it's mild. DH is sick. He's usually like that though. He gets sick like once every 3 years and when he does get sick, it's bad.
I think that if we all stay separated for the next day or so, we should be fine.

And also, what kind of squishmallow is good for a picky 16 year old girl? Costco online has 16” Squishmallows for $15.49. The cheapest I noticed. The guacamole is really cute. I have the teal and gold giraffe.

It also astounds me at how much of a dumb ass my well degreed, very smart husband is being right now. He may not live beyond the the 5 day isolation period.

I'm going to take two old non-working televisions to a dumpster thing today. It's so far to go to the , but the city is doing a roll out dumpster in town and they will take electronics.

success! I woke up 5min before my 8am "you're losing the day, stupid!" alarm went off.
I've got all the windows open since the house got stuffy the past couple days, and more laundry is well underway. I'm working my way through a deep clean of the main floor this weekend. like, moving furniture to vac under/behind it.

I still have a turkey breast in the freezer from last year that I never cooked. I am fairly sure it is still edible so I will cook that. I wish you could have seen Penny today. One of the houses, which is across from the open space where dogs walk, poop, and run around, has a caregiver for a woman with Alzheimer's. The caregiver has a HUGE dog, sort of the size of a St. Bernard, who is nothing but an overgrown puppy. Her patient sits outside where the caregiver can see her while the dog gets his exercise. The dog's name is Chubby, which will give you some idea of his size. In contrast, Penny is a rather lean miniature pinscher mix at 12 pounds. They love to play together! Penny crouches and pounces at him, tail just a wagging. Then it is Chubby's turn. Back and forth they go until they finally tangle their leashes and we have to make them stop. It really is sweet and fun to watch. Penny starts pulling and whimpering when she sees him down there. If I only moved here for Penny, it would be worth it. Being only around me wasn't good for her. That's so cute. I'm sure chubby has no idea that he's a giant.

I'm tired. Our extra hour is right on time.
2nd job today but it's been d.e.d, dead. I think the new scheduler wants more days and I told the owner that would be fine with me.
Also going to a celebration of life for a friend's dad.
And cleaning the house. Dh is finally tackling his fish tanks which is nice.

I hope that everyone else stays contagion free, and that your DH does not expire from terminal stupidity (or Covid!). The former has taken many a man before his time

The people who live next door have 2 frenchies. The other day while I was outside with Jackson they decided to let the frenchies out. Jackson saw one and was like "ooh! A friend!" He started running towards it but was tied up so he didn't get to it. I apologized and took him inside. I'm sure he scared the crap out of them, but he wasn't going to hurt anyone. He's just a big dude. I kinda feel like I should apologize again and explain that he really is the goodest boy.

Did a bike ride in the rain this morning (pool closed - coach out of town), so extra time to dry and tend to the bike. Went to the grocery store - not bad at all, but the weather kept the idiots home.
Added scraps to the composter - the fruits of it (and the vegetables) will be in use over the next two weekends, as the fall/winter garden goes in.

Got to sleep in, but of course it triggered a migraine. Why does all the good stuff trigger migraines in me. Excessive sleep, chocolate, alcohol... Can't take my migraine meds on an empty stomach and can't eat until my thyroid meds have been down for at least an hour, so guess I just deal this morning.

Back from the beach, I've been writing and procrastinating. Need to vacuum EVERYTHING. And chuck out some boxes and ready some pictures for drop off and shows next week and weekend. And clean the car out . . . I just don't want to.

We aren't used to being down. And when you are semi-functional it is hard to stay isolated in a bedroom. But ffs. Just stay in the bedroom for two days. It comes off as folks thinking that I'm incompetent or I somehow can't handle the situation.
I mean, when the missy got sick, I was there faster with the puke bag than DH was

Okay, breakfast served, laundry done and put away, and all hard floors dry and wet mopped. This afternoon I'll wrap and box all the inside Halloween stuff. Tomorrow I need to finish typing and printing out stuff for my author guy, and make out menus for the week. Probably grocery run in the afternoon too. I just got an invitation to an election watch party. Based on our contributions to the gentleman running, our "free" pizza will actually be $250 a slice. And he's a very devout Baptist teetotaler, so we'll have to buy our own alcohol.

Well, crap. Thanks to a YouTube video, I need to reorganize my refrigerator. And clean it. so I guess I will be measuring space for new containers and hitting up Amazon. I needed a set of those china storage bags anyway (my niece returned my mother's fine china, as she as neither a place nor use for it right now, and neither of us wants her greedy half-sister to get her hands on it.)

Sitting in my car in the parking lot at Costco waiting for my 9:15 appointment at the audio department sipping my second cuppa (had the first one at home). Even though every day is a Saturday or Sunday for me this is still the best day. They only open up at 9 so plenty of parking and no traffic on the way in. By the time I leave there won't be any parking and it will be a zoo, but not my problem

Beautiful picture finnime! Yesterday was for catching up on errands, so today I need to stay home & clean. It always amazes me, with 3 people & 2 dogs how much work it takes to keep up the place. (It'd probably help if the dogs didn't shed so much, but they're cute so I put up with it.)

I sat down for a minute to write out a card to mail on Monday, I found remembrance cards in the mail shite pile from back in April that I still hadn't sent out. oops. these cards were for my local college roommate's Dad, an unexpected passing back in the spring. I grabbed an extra so I could send it to our other college roommate up in Maine, who wasn't able to get down here for the funeral. I'm hoping the card will bring her a smile when it lands, if even for a sad reason, as her life's been flipped upside down this past week. she lives in between where the Lewiston shooter's car and body were found. I put a note in the card to say that I wanted to make an effort to find time for a visit soon, because it's been far too long and the card/past week have proven that you never know when your time is up.

Sushi always sleeps with me. Always. He also has to be in the same room with me, making fur-to-skin contact. All this started when I had my heart attack. It's like he's monitoring my heartbeat, because he loves me.
...or maybe he wants to make sure I'm dead before he eats me.
