My hygienist of 25 years retired this summer. Her replacement is a sadist. I hate when that happens. Especially if they dig to China while flossing... I've never been this sore 2 hours after a cleaning in my life. She was super nice, but omg.
On the plus side, if this doesn't get me regularly flossing to avoid the torture, I don't know what will. It might be a few days before I can though...

Funeral is over.
I felt so bad for grandma. GU is her younger brother.
And she's getting more confused but is aware she's losing her memory.
I had to have explained at least 10 times grandpa has been dead since 2014 because she kept asking when is Rob coming.
Had to explain a couple times we were at GUs Funeral.
When dad came back from his existential crisis I tapped out for a bit.
Dementia is a hell of a disease.😪
It was good to see the guys again. I haven't seen them in awhile. We all spent some time reliving memories from the old restaurant.

Yesterday was gorgeous while we were out running around. Today, not so much. If it doesn’t rain, it will be missing a good chance. TD apparently got our phones transported over to Mint from Ting. There was some user error going on here. He put the extra SIM card that Mint sent in his phone and forgot to put a SIM card in my phone altogether. We are trying their trial service, and have 3 months to decide whether or not to go in this direction. I guess what happens when we go over the border this afternoon is the test. Our 3 month trial ends in two weeks and I'm going to buy one year plans for all three. So far, been pretty happy. My phone has issues with it that the boys don't, and the service isn't as great in the more remote areas, but for the price I'm saving it's worth it. I also heard Mint has zero service in Alaska, like nothing at all. So if we ever plan on heading back there I'll have to get some cheap burner or see if I can temporarily switch to Ting at the same time. Should be able to just pop the other SIMs back in and pay for a month I would think. Do you just need data or do you need phone and voice too? If data, try Airalo. We used eSIMs on our world cruise and it did work well. Supposedly Airalo May now include voice and text but I’ve not looked yet.

My grandma mused to me that maybe her forgetting is a blessing from God because it allows her to handle all she has to carry now at her age.
That was food for thought I said I've never considered it that way.

I got quite a bit done but not all I intended too.
Got trash out of the garage and and garden shed not all of it but looks much better. Put a ton of stuff out by the road with a free sign. If its not gone in a couple of days, into the dumpster it goes. I blew leaves and dirt out of the garage, looks better.
Took extra clothes up and put them by the blessing box, hope they go. Took the clean items to the trailer and picked up the sweeper. I didn't work down there but will, about an hour or two should finish it.
Cleaned the litter box and I swear, I am still doing laundry. Got all the dishes scrubbed from the barbecue and fried potatoes last night. I hate soaking and cleaning that stuff.
I tried the sweeper on the cat litter and cat hair and it did a good job. Looks like it had attachments, I need to get the model number and look them up and see if they are worth replacing. I can't get under furniture with it. Guess I can just use a dust mop instead.
Hubs is baking he and DD a pizza, I'm going to have soup or something like that. They both love pizzas, me no. Some I can eat, most give me indigestion.
I'm done for today, I'm tired. Should have cleaned my car out while not so cold today. With the garage door closed may not be bad tomorrow, guess I will find out.
But I'm going to keep chipping away at stuff to get rid of here.

I finally cleaned out my Jeep today. Inside it now looks a lot less like a farm truck. Just remembered I was going to make a batch of rolls today, so I have that dough rising now. I have leftover pulled pork in the freezer, so I'm thinking pulled pork sliders for dinner.

Just got back into a run into the next larger city for a Costco run. I haven’t been there since I was a kid. I got there an hour after they opened and holy crap I think the entire city had the same idea. Made it out $250 later. Had to clean out and reorganize the freezer in the kitchen fridge and the upright freezer in the garage. Both are completely stuffed. Now that I’ve organized and inventoried both freezers I need to start using the stuff. I shouldn’t need to shop for meats or frozen fruit or veggies for months.

Dad said she forgot the funeral and grandpa was dead again about half way to the nursing home.
She keeps forgetting Treynor too. She thinks they were in Wichita when he died.
Then it sounds like he got hit on another resident was telling him how strong he must be she saw him lifting grandma into the car.

I think its kinder not to remind her DQ.
Unhappy. Just got both dryers taken by one of the residents who apparently decided to run several loads late. She's paid for more than 45 minutes, until about close, and I only need 20 minutes of the dryer for the fleece before I hang it. Wish I had started earlier, but she might have chosen to screw me over earlier anyway since she is closer to the laundry room than I am.
ETA - The heavy duty cycle runs longer than most laundry loads, so she was able to start her laundry after I left and beat me to the dryer. That cycle is about 45 minutes and a regular cycle is more like 30.

NomoreDramaQ1015 My mom was in a nursing home and we would not be able to take her to the funeral of her brother. I talked to her social worker and it was decided that we would never tell her about her brother passing away. I really hate dementia.

It is a kind decision though if someone is enduring Alzheimer's and or dementia. I've seen similar decisions made for residents at the place I used to work at. Grief is hard enough when you are aware and can process it over time. It can be very hard if every time it comes up its like the very first time they found out.

Normally we don't in regards to grandpa we tell her he'll be here soon but she was getting annoyed he wasn't there yet and was lucid enough to demand I tell her the truth so I did.
She's in-between anymore where she knows he's gone but then doesn't.
She doesn't appear to grieve grandp she's annoyed she keeps forgetting he's gone. She wants to retain that date out of respect.
It'll probably be the same with GU. For the most part I won't say anything.
GU and grandma were very close. Between me, my dad and brother we agreed to take her to the funeral she deserved that respect.
She did enjoy seeing everyone. Couldn't always place people but she brightened up considerably being around old co-workers and customers

NomoreDramaQ1015 I am glad you took your grandmother to funeral. Taking my mom was not an option since she was already on Medicad and we were not allowed to take her from the home. So, it was decided it was better not to tell her anything. My mom was already suffering from dementia when my sister died, she was at the funeral. She sat with my DF who did not know who people were. Not sure how much she comprehended at that time. At one time she used to introduce me as her sister. She had no sisters. When my mom died my Aunt (dad's sister) was in memory care. My cousin's asked about bringing her. Both me and my dad said do not bring her. She constantly asked to go home and I was afraid they would have difficulty getting her to go back into the facility.

Can you interrupt the cycle once it has started? maybe you could turn it on when you start your wash load, then open it mid cycle and dry your fleece?

It doesn't go well when the cycle is interrupted for whatever reason. I may rewash some of it anyway as it looks like I waited until it was too soiled or waited too long to be washed. I was more behind than I thought.

They cannot refuse the patient the right to leave or the family to take them places or even relocate the patient entirely. Doing it on Medicaid is a PITA hence why we aren't moving grandma but if her current home tried to block us I could sue them blind for breaking federal law and holding my grandma against her family's will.

I strolled in my bedroom to take a shower and get ready for bed, and Mister was on his knees, cooing to Boy, who was laying on my bed. I got upset and said I was tired of requesting the same shit over and over, and being ignored. Shots were fired about shit that had nothing to do with the damn dog being on my bed, everything went way left, and a whole fucking war was started.
This shit is getting worser and worser.

By this time, it would have been difficult to get her in and out of the car. Different states do have different Medicaid guide lines. Some states allow patients to leave and some don’t. Some even allow a “overnight” stay and Medicaid still pays for the “bed”.

That was cool, I just tripped over a chair leg and fell flat. Luckily I apparently have strong bones or I would have broken something by now much as I fall. It's the neuropathy in the feet and legs, but its awfully aggravating.
Watching a show about computers creating their own artificial intelligence, its pretty neat. And I have the furnace on 73 and its nice and comfy in here.

I did manage to pick up DS's prescription tonight, but had to wait until after 8 pm. The lines have been crazy at this particular location all day, according to an employee I spoke with. So glad I got DS his meds.
