I had Angry Bears today and just got on.  I wanted to copy one of my quotes about the dip.  Or when to quit!

After 40 years the sliding glass shower door is going to heck.  I would just work with it until it rolled.  DH - nope.  He took the whole thing apart when it wouldn't work when he was trying to get in the shower.  An hour or so later, harsh words,  slamming doors, noise from the bathroom.  He did get a shower.  We do have a second shower.  I only use one because I don't want to clean two bathrooms.

I am going to bed really early tonight. I got my Covid-19 vaccine today.  It is fine, but I am incredibly tired.  None of the others affected me . . . to the point that I wondered if they would even work.  But I am a few years older now.

I took the RSV vaccine a few weeks ago (no side effects there) so two down and one (flu shot) to go.  I am a big believer in vaccines unless there are health reasons not to take them.  I have no health reasons so I always get them.  

My willingness to take them is probably a product of lining us up for the sugar cube with the polio vaccine back when I was in elementary school.  Wish they were all given on a sugar cube!

I'm beat. I got ds printer working. I'm not sure that I get the street cred I deserve but I suppose that's being a parent. azucena - the printer is awesome! Thank you for the recommendation!

Dc and I went to the gym and I did 20 minutes of rowing. Doesn't seem like it should be that much, but it was the hardest I've pushed myself since the surgery. Then a trip to goodwill for Halloween costumes, grocery store, and taking ds out to get paint so he can paint his newly made mini. I need to call my parents and then I'm ready for a tv/movie night.

My day started out really rough. My stomach was acting a fool and when I thought it was okay to go get in my car, my stomach said NOPE, go back in the house. Fortunately, I was ready to head to work a little earlier than strictly necessary, so I still managed to get there on time, just barely.

Then, while I was still wrestling with my stomach, on my way back to my work area, I smelled paint. The closer I got to my work area, the stronger the smell got. I finally saw the source, they were painting the floor, not even close to where I work. But the smell was so strong, my eyes and nose started running, sinus crap started draining down my throat, and I had a whole different type of misery going on, in addition to my stomach.

For the last several years, most commonly used cleaning agents have been banned from the building. Our custodians can only use one specific product, that has no smell, and is safe to drink, as demonstrated by the guy that trained our custodians when the program was implemented. And it doesn’t even appear to clean all that well. But they can use a sealant when they paint the floors, that you can smell from the middle of the building that spans a whole block, to the doors at the end of the building. Just one open container of it, and the smell is just that strong.

So I kept going outside to get some fresh air, because it was bothering me so much, and if anybody had expressed a problem with that, my next step was gon be to just go home. That shit is ridiculous to breathe even in a good day, and I was already having other issues that made it not be a good day for me. Everybody hates it, and I have complained about it before when they’ve used it close enough to my work area for it to affect me. It’s like the smell of house paint, times 100.

Anyway, after some hours, my stomach finally settled down, and they stopped painting, and my day got better.

I went to the park to feed the squirrels today. One distracted me by lying at my feet and pretending he was sick, while the other jumped up on the bench and made off with the entire bag of peanuts.
Then they both took off like bats out of hell.
By the time I found the bag, it was chewed up and empty.

Years ago we had a big bag of mixed nuts at the zoo, and we had to leave it in the stroller while we went through an indoor exhibit. When we came out we found a squirrel trying to get them which was funny, but dh shooed it away.

But the recounting of this tale by 3yo ds, of, "The squirrel who tried to steal daddy's nuts" still brings tears to my eyes.

I can't get the Covid vaccine for 90 days because of my current case of Covid.  I have had 6 does of Covid vaccines and I reacted to every one of them.  

I think by Monday I will be ready to call my doctor's office about the RSV vaccine.  In Iowa, those can only be dispensed by a doctor's office.  I don't know how long I have to wait.

I decided to watch that, instead.  It was a better movie to watch without kids around.

I am just messing around and not doing all the stuff I need to do here. Cleaning and getting rid of things.

I took pictures of vests and jeans to post for sale but phone doesn't get signal good out here. What a pain in the butt. Guess I need to take pictures with a camera instead and post. I still haven't mopped my floors and intended to do 2 days ago.

My motivation has got up and gone or something. I told hubs at this rate will take us 10 years to move. But he is doing the same, he said he was tired today and lay down and took a nap, so unlike him. Are we getting old?

He is telling people now that looks like we are going to have to move to Washington.

We were talking today about buying a new modular and putting it on that lot, but he said getting rid of the old one could be a problem. Of course we would rather buy our own land to put it on. And we continue not having any clue about what we are doing, still. But at least he is talking about it. so that is good.
