I would absolutely smoke out of a Mr. Hanky bowl. Or is it a bong? It's a bowl. A bong is much larger and requires water to be added to it. I may or may not have been a serious toker in HS... Yeah, hi, I keep my bowl in the kitchen. I assumed it was a bowl but then didn't want to assume it was because a talking poop should be large and admired. We have various accoutrements at home.

I prefer car rental companies that are in the airport Easier to access them after getting off a flight, tired and carrying luggage I’ve found Hertz to be more expensive Try one of the websites that give prices for many companies. Then after I’ve found a car and price I like I often rent on company website

My friend keeps posting pics of her sons at their day camps. The 9-year-old is at a math camp, and both he and his 7-year-old brother are doing a cooking camp. It's cuteness overload!

Up and at it this morning.
DD is ready, I am except for makeup, little guy is asleep doesn't take him long to get ready, have his clothes out. We are going out for lunch and a movie today along with this mom.
I was filling our pills and looking at mine. Most of mine are very low dose. I have a mild heart murmur and stuff for cholesterol mainly. Also for neuropathy and low thyroid.
I take amlodipine 2.5mg levothryoxin 75mcg pantoprzole 20 mg clopidogrel 75mg metoprolol er 25mg nexlizet 180/10mg duloxetine 20 mg twice a day vitamin d2 once a week premarin .625mg ozempic .25 or .50mg weekly The ozempic has been life changing for me, after weight loss has helped me to be able to walk and enjoy life again, It's worth every dollar it costs, hubs agrees, thankfully, as it benefits both of us in a way.
Actually for my age I think I'm pretty fortunate that is all I take.

Once I was living on my own, I always boarded my dogs when I went out of town. My Mom knew my chow chow because I lived with my Mom when I first got the dog. But after I moved it, I didn’t ask my Mom to dogsit her, I boarded her. Boarding cost quite a bit when I had a 55lb and 110lb dog at the same time, since the cost was based on their weight. But boarding my dogs was just as much a part of the cost of traveling as a hotel room at my destination. Mister’s parents kept OG for him when we’ve gone out of town. That’s a little different because she’d lived with them before, and they liked for her to come visit anyway. So her being there was kind of like being at her second home. Now that we have Newbie and Boy, we’ll board them when we travel. And toomuchreality I am glad that you are going to say no. You, your health and your peace of mind come first. If your daughters get angry because you refuse to do something you aren’t comfortable with, or just don’t want to do, it won’t mean you did anything wrong, it will just mean there’s something wrong with their thinking.

We don't have dogs precisely because they are so much work, especially with travel or simply wanting to stay out later than planned. Love dogs, just not for us. We have three cats who are thankfully easy to care for. We also enjoy a circle of cat lady friends and we all feed each other's cats, so we never have to worry about boarding or paying for a sitter.

I already got contacted by the recruiter.
An invite will be coming for an interview soon.
First time I haven't been automatically rejected five seconds after applying for a higher position. So feeling pretty good about that.

I know tomorrow will have some stress for you, but I'm so excited that you finally get to start a journey you have looked foward to for a very long time. Please take care of yourself as you move forward in your new home and we would love to see pics too susana1954 good luck today. Hope all goes well! Thank you! I have said my prayers, but I am not sure what will happen. Well, closing will, but . . . I don't always check text messages. When I did this morning, there was one from my realtor. The sellers of the house I am buying still want to close today, but they would like until 5 pm tomorrow (Saturday) to finish emptying the house. They have had a serious family emergency (an uncle, who was visiting his father in the nursing home, fell down the stairs and is hospitalized with a brain bleed). I'm very sympathetic and will work with them, but I have already packed my car in this heat and will not unpack it except into the house. I will put it somewhere. And then in the morning I have to start moving more stuff even if it is on top of them. So they will have to also work with me. Pray for all of us, please, but particularly for the uncle. I know they don't have real control over the situation.

I went to the deli that I really should not be going into because I buy stuff and I bought stuff. I found yellow curry paste, MILD harissa paste and white miso. I have a powdered harissa that you can make into a paste but it blows your head off even in small amounts so this was a good find. And I got more marshmallows. They have caramel salted marshmallows. I got the walnut pecan caramel ones the first time. I ate one last night and it took a lot of self will to not hoover all five of them in the package. I got another pack of those and a pack of "Black Salt cocoa nib" marshmallows.

They know the cost of care. That's why they keep pushing for me to do it. And their fear that the dog with neurological issues won't get the care she needs. But although I love them all and I do care, they're not my responsibility. DD1 and I had a major falling out a few years ago, when she went on a vacation in Costa Rica, and left her dying dog in my care. Then she wouldn't answer my calls, or return my messages, when I had questions about his care. Instead, she blamed me and came home early. The dog died Christmas night, which was just a few days later. I don't want to go through that again. That would be more than enough reason for me to put my foot down. Make it clear that you are not caring for anyone's pets now or in the future. Do you want me to tell them? I'm most definitely not shy. Alternatively to Andy coming over (I like her to be our "secret weapon" as long as possible LOL) next time you say no add I retired 100% from house and pet sitting as off January this year and I won't change my decision so please stop asking as it only causes aggravation and my response will not change.

toomuchreality, everyone who has said, "Just say no" is absolutely right. I seem to remember one of your kids taking advantage of you as far as babysitting went. I forget the details, but there was a car involved somewhere in the story. And maybe your son-in-law? I have always had to board my dog(s). That was true even when DH was so sick. Dayboarding was my friend. And I will board Penny while I move on Tuesday. It is part of pet ownership.

fantastic. so I'm heading up to NH tomorrow am, that's why my parents are coming down. I forgot until earlier this week that my inspection sticker expired at the end of June. oops. I ran out just now to knock that out, there's a service station out on the main road. well, I have a nice shiny rejection sticker (which is actually more valid than the 6/23 one) for my troubles. my rear center seat belt buckle won't click to secure the harness. I would bet my house that I've never even tried to use that one, as I can count on one hand that there have even been FOUR people in my car. so I called my dealership to ask about getting another one, and it turns out that the center and passenger are a one-piece deal and that the seat has to come out in order to replace it. I'm going to call around to some junkyards in the area to see if anyone's got one for cheaper than the $97 brand new. I have 60 days for the rejection sticker, and I'm currently pencilled in for a service appointment on 7/26 which was the first available. I'm going to have my dad see if he can mess with it tonight, I had no luck. I was annoyed at a $600 bill to replace my ignition last summer, but this one really frosts my ass. the car has over 200k miles on it, but a never-used seatbelt is going to fail my inspection? oy.

Actually for my age I think I'm pretty fortunate that is all I take. Is 75 mcg a low dose of levothyroxine? My thyroid has been removed and I take 88mcg 5 days and 100 mcg 2 days a week. If I get diarrhea, I assume the culprit is the levothyroxine and reduce the amount i take. My endocrinologist didn't necessarily believe me. She wanted me to see a GI doctor. I eventually consulted with one and she told me to use the Same diet Pink is on and that I was correct that Synthroid being a possible culprit. I focused on that being a problem b/c I take it before I walk out the door in the am, my commute is about 1/2 hour, and sometimes I get to work and have to rush in the bathroom. Also, if you are taking levothyroxine, my Endocrinologist says I have to take brand name Synthroid. She says the amount of the drug actually delivered in levothyroxine can vary and for me it is important that she know exactly how much of the drug I am getting. So anyways, I am vigilant about both the foods I eat and the amount of Synthroid I have in my system. When I travel, I cut back the amount of the drug I have in my system, and try to eat less/be extra vigilant about food - which can also be difficult to control. ETA: If Synthroid dose is too low you get constipated, too high result is diarrhea, so it is somewhat easy to tell there is an issue - the difficulty comes in with there could be other issues going on.

Construction is going to cause me to drink (more than I already do!). I simple errand out to the post office took me waaaay longer than it needed. I had to take the back route out of our development as someone had a cement mixer blocking the road out. No problem, at least I saw it before the turn I'd need to make. Then there was a gridlock at an intersection that only the car ahead of me was able to get through, cars making a left turn proceeded to block the rest of the intersection. I made a right turn to get out of it. Then I went tried to go another back way, and while I did not need to turn in that direction, I discovered that we are going to have to find a new route to the vet appointment that's scheduled next week. I finally manage to get to the PO, putting 3x as many miles on my car with detours.
Tried to use the kiosk for the priority packaging, but it did not like my cousin's address. It kept booting me out of the system. After a couple tries, I just said F it and stood in line. I should have freaking stood in line to begin with! Had to take another circuitous route home, only to have our driveway blocked by neighbor across the street that's going camping and has an RV attached to his truck. At least he saw me coming and moved it out of the way.
We still need to do Costco. Maybe everyone went earlier in the week since it was the 4th.

Going to see the musical Chess tonight. I think it's about the Russian chess champions during the cold war. Will be interesting to hear how they sing about it. Part of our season ticket package. Fortunately StL temps are in the high 80s. Chance for spotty storm at show time could be interesting as this is outdoor venue and they allow up to a 2 hour delay before cancelling.

I was a rear-seat passenger in a friend's car, and the seat belt wouldn't click. I was the first person to sit back there, and she had had the car for a couple of years by then. New Jersey no longer does safety inspections; only pollution. I have seen cars with rejection stickers that are several years old. I drove around with an expired inspection sticker for about 1.5 years. I figured I'd blame COVID closures if I ever got pulled over.

In addition to the amolidpine, clopidogrel and metoprolol are on that list. Depending on the murmur and how it presents the cardiologist may have picked that combination for a reason. My experience with my parent was that heart meds were never straightforward. But, yes, the primary effect of amlodipine is that it lowers blood pressure. Which means she should just be mindful. Especially with the low blood sugar type episodes she has mentioned. Stay safe CG!

I was annoyed at a $600 bill to replace my ignition last summer, but this one really frosts my ass. the car has over 200k miles on it, but a never-used seatbelt is going to fail my inspection? oy. They stopped doing inspections here several years ago, while I still lived in the city. Having to go through inspection just because you lived in the city didn’t really make sense because people in the rest of the county and 2 neighboring states are regularly in the city because that’s where they work, shop and whatever other reasons. And the renewal cost more if you lived in the city, vs in the county, outside the city limits. Here, “in the county” does it necessarily mean in the suburbs either. When I was a teenager, my Mom bought a house in the county, but it wasn’t a named suburb. Registering a car was cheaper and she didn’t have to pay city taxes, but she also didn’t have some of the services the city provides, like trash pickup. Anyway, when we did have vehicle inspections, it was just making sure all the lights, windshield wipers and emergency brake worked properly, and your car didn’t have smoke coming out of the exhaust. They wouldn’t even bother with you if your car was smoking. They didn’t check anything regarding the interior of the car.

fantastic. so I'm heading up to NH tomorrow am, that's why my parents are coming down. MA does, and they suck about it, too. my mom's last car was rejected b/c there was a little bit of rust on some lower body section. I remember cutting myself on my dad's old shitboxes when I was a kid, playing in the yard. slap a little iodine or Mercurochrome on it, and keep the limb! lol...
