I unexpectedly took a ~3h nap late this afternoon. oops. pups got dinner just before 8pm, and then I still needed to cook off the ground beef I had in the fridge for them (not for tonight...). I'm currently sitting out on hte deck, watching the end of Sox/Yanks and wondering how late I'll be awake now. Going into extra innings. And a strange commercial with Billy Idol.

One day I will let mine grow out white, the beautician said it appears to be white at most of the roots now, but it takes a long time and looks bad. DD says I won't look good with white hair. I'm not sure, but there will come a day when I find out. True but I used the prolonged Covid lockdowns and WFH for that so very few people ever saw it - the exceptions being my sons and their family/SO on Zoom. My work was done by dialing in to my desktop so no camera available for any meetings there. I found my silver (or should I say white?) lining in all this. LOL

I have never sewn an item that had an area that did not come out right until this blouse. I'm sure its "maker" error, but even after reading the pattern instructions again well something is off. I can cover it up but it is bugging the heck out of me why I can't figure it out. Oh well, I need to move on and finish it, I have the little cap sleeves to put in and buttonholes to make and one little place to hand sew neatly to camouflage the error. Then I move on to my shorty summer PJ's.
We just ordered a different internet booster. After hubs finished the basement, we are not getting a good signal down there for the big screen telly. There are so many not sure what I ordered is ok. Hubs and I both tried to order a specific brand and would not take our credit card?? so went to Amazon and ordered one.
Back to the basement!

We couldn't use the credit card so went to look at the account. Sure enough fraudulent charges on it. I'm sure someone lifted the number off in somewhere along the way when hubs was buying fuel or a minutes card for his phone. So its frozen once again and a new card coming. This happens way to often. Thankfully our spending patterns are watched but I think some of those places are well known fraud sites since quite a few are in euros.

Locked and loaded and ready to go to the airport. First flying from Oslo to Amsterdam, then on to Boston, then Uber home. We're talking about next cruise already. Given DH's relatively fragile health, I'm very happy we can actually vacation overseas and see some of the world.
I hope you have a great day whereever you are. And stay away from NB around Philadelphia.

Off to pride we go! I slayed the makeup. Just in case anyone is wondering. My DD attended a Brewer’s game yesterday and came home with a very pretty Flowered Brewers Hat and a Pride Brewers Pin. She said she was going to add the Pin to her Lanyard for her work badge. I am just glad she can do that. She works for an airline and all employees have to pass through security and wear a badge all day. My niece graduated Saturday. My BIL is a red necked Maga A-h*le. I was there cleaning on Friday and said something to my BIL about something being available at Target and I get an, “Well, I won’t shop there for any reason”. Stupid Anti-WOKE Republicans. They stand for nothing. They have no principles, their only agenda is getting elected. In a few years when the bulk of the right to lifer’s die off, their Anti-Abortion Plank will die a quiet Death. There was an article in the Local paper that the State Republican Party in Anti-DEI but the National party has signed a pledge to support DEI for the Republican National Convention. They wrote a whole article about it and never pointed out that WI Gerrymandering is so bad that Democrats would need 2/3 of the vote to win anything. For a National Election Republicans need to appeal to Minority & Independent voters to win. Hopefully the Voters are capable of reading between the lines to discern motivations. But anyways I hope your family enjoyed the Pride Events!

I'm being lazy. At some point I need to go to Target to get my curbside order. I also need to go you know where. I ordered a palette and it came broken. I need to switch it out for an in tact version. Do you pass you know where when you go to Target? One of our you know where's is almost across the street/road from Target You Know Where is Inside my Target Now. 🤣

Went onto the beach for about a half hour to look for shells with flashlights and the net since the tide was coming in. We caught a fish. Kiddo was ecstatic. Thing is tiny. Maybe 3 inches? Like an aquarium fish. Managed to throw it back when she wasn't looking. She had it in her mind we were going to grill it and eat it

She has now spent the past hour saying I can't believe we caught a fish! We weren't even fishing!

I saw something scrolling while I was waiting for page to load and put in google just to see what it was. Surprise it was a google site capturing for ad placement. I was on PC and I have lots of time on my hands to check out this crap.

honestly, the most spam I get (it's starting up again.. ) is from CVS hackers. in order to COVID test to board those first few cruise trips, I *had to* sign up for a CVS account to receive results in-port. the sender names in my inbox are things like uehfiuzflekj rhe:gjebfr and the message preview always starts with "Dear Client, Here at CVS...."

I did not get enough done this weekend, so now I'm a bit stressed. I also somehow lost a 50 pound bag of goat feed that I KNOW I bought in the past couple weeks. Too much running around left to do in the next few days. Carrot needs shoes bad and Ex 2.0 was supposed to take him shopping this weekend and pick some out so all I had to do was stop in and pay for them, but no...they did not. Then the latch broke on Gus's stall gate last night, so I need to get a new one and replace that. Those are the things on my agenda for tonight.

Today's my vacation to work reality and I don't wanna.
For a week that started out relaxing and rejuvenating it ended quite hecticly, but still good. Just none of the at home downtime I thought I'd have for deferred projects.

Have you guys checked the privacy settings on your browsers? It’s one thing to get signed up for mailing lists after ordering but I’d be pissed about getting emails after just browsing a website. I don’t typically get these but I have all my do not track and limit cookies and no targeted ads boxes checked. Come to think of it, I also post from an old tablet that I basically don’t use for anything else...although I will browse these boards from my phone and click links without signing in. Maybe device hygiene is important? I do get periodic bursts of spam texts insisting that I must click the link or my package will be consigned to the fiery depths

Now I don’t get tons of spam but they all come with gmail addresses which what I found interesting And I don’t click open any link here from any device I use. Get more virus pop up’s than any other site I frequent.

I just got one about renewing McAfee because it expired yesterday. But first it said it did a scan and found issues that needed to be corrected. That's when it went into the renew mode. Then I remembered I don't have it.

Last night I got a video tour of the new home in Toronto. Toddler loves his yellow room and loves to "help" putting things together and emptying boxes. He starts at his new school today.
They have to be completely out of the old place by Thursday. They moved 5 km and say it's a different world. I hope this place makes all 3 of them happy.
No weird angles cutting off rooms and the walls go all the way to the ceiling. They have a true dining room and living room and their huge sectional couch doesn't make it so you can't put anything else in the room.
Mom and dad are looking to get lots done today while Toddler is at school.

My sister and her daughter and daughter's family are on their one week vacation. They arrived in Virginia Beach last night and ate at Cheesecake Factory. I expect they will also take in Red Lobster because that is who they are.

One day I will let mine grow out white, the beautician said it appears to be white at most of the roots now, but it takes a long time and looks bad. DD says I won't look good with white hair. I'm not sure, but there will come a day when I find out. My sister decided to let hers grow out, and had her stylist use semi-permanent dye for a few sessions. It was easier to remove and go grey/white. Another benefit is that you can gradually choose lighter shades of semi-permanent color so the switch to natural color is not as bad. As you go lighter, you can add highlights in your now-natural color to ease the transition, eventually going with mostly highlights before you make the switch. As an alternative, there are great semi-permanent colors in a box that you can do at home. During the pandemic, I was able to grow out about 3" of my natural color, and when I finally got in to see my stylist I asked her to strip the color and go with a color closer to the color of my roots. Stripping the permanent dye was really hard on my hair! If I were to do it again, I'd go with semi-permanent color first. I now have highlights on my natural color. Love it!
