today is the 3rd Sunday in a row with no newspaper. I'll give them one more week before I cancel. this is absurd.
first up on the agenda is some pup cooking, since I didn't do that yesterday. after that, I'm going outside to hang out for the day

I'm going to knock out a little yard work before it gets hot (about 100 here today) then just do laundry and chill out inside.

I'm being lazy. At some point I need to go to Target to get my curbside order. I also need to go you know where. I ordered a palette and it came broken. I need to switch it out for an in tact version.

I also have 4 dogs currently. T1 went to a concert last night and left me with Bear and Luna. Macy woke us all up this morning at 4:30 barking at something outside. Luckily I got them all back to sleep and we slept until 6:30. Still early, but not stupid early.

I had just started the order with the Target closest to my house. Thanks! I completely forgot about that store.

I think you should inquire about the carrier find out if it was claimed delivered or not. Do you still have creepy neighbor with the small dog? Is it possible someone is taking it shortly after it is delivered?

waiting for DD1 to wake up. It could be a while.
DD1 was up early this morning. Her friend is going to a bird show (about 2 hours away) and DD1 is going with her, then spending the night too! Friend’s parents were supposed to pick her up around 8am and instead they got her by 8:25am. They aren’t morning people. 😉

Speaking of Ulta, I’m a Platinum member through next year now! 🎉🎊 I’m aware that andi9899 has way surpassed me but I hardly buy beauty products there. What pushed me over the edge was getting mine and DD1’s hair done there yesterday. I got partial nightlights and I love it!! It’s more in line with what I had asked for before at a different salon but wasn’t getting. DD1 got this: She LOVES it!!! Also, I really like it. We both like it much better than what was done last year (at a different salon). Edit: Please don’t quote the pictures. I may remove them later.

Taz - so fun! Mind sharing how much it cost? Dd10 is begging for something similar.

I've consistently had problems at this house, even before the weirdo moved in. either it was in my driveway by 6am, or it wasn't coming that day. I'd guess they currently don't have a driver for this route right now, and that turnover was high already.

We haven't had a news carrier since early November 2022. I have been putting in for a missed delivery every day (no paper on Saturdays anymore). About 6 weeks ago a notice was sent out; beginning in mid-July the paper will now be delivered via USPS. We may get the paper a day late but at least we will get one. There will be no paper on Federal holidays (late or otherwise). So, the same annual cost (for now) just fewer papers.

oh, that's irritating. I'd be cancelling that subscription for sure.
so I just moved the fun outside for the rest of hte tennis match, and I'll finish cooking later on. I was heading back in the house to pick up my laptop (I'm gonna do some job hunting while I'm out here) and I noticed a newspaper in the driveway - it's 11am. I actually just called them back to confirm that I got the credit for today. I very likely won't read that now, but my mom will flip through it on Tuesday when she's here. I like to read the paper with my coffee, before I really get moving in the am. each time I've called in for a missed delivery, they as if I want a re-delivery or a credit. I've always taken a credit, b/c I won't read it later in the day. "regular" delivery is supposed to be by 9am.

I feel a bit better. I still feel pressure or whatever, but it’s not as bad as it was a couple days ago. This course of antibiotics was only for 3 days, I really hope that’s enough to get rid of this crap completely this time. Today is the last day I have to take them. I am also feeling a LOT better mentally. I was really, really down in the dumps Friday, and sad. I felt like my whole life is out of control, because I keep having so many physical issues and it’s been causing so many other issues in my life. So yesterday, I started working on what I tend to do when I feel like my life is out of control and I can’t take it anymore, get my environment under control. There’s still a lot to be done, but what I got done yesterday made me feel better. Then I lounged in the bed and watched tv all evening, and it was actually relaxing and enjoyable. I don’t watch tv much, but I’ve been binge watching season 4 of Sistas by Tyler Perry. I love it that Tyler Perry has been so successful, but I don’t really watch his stuff. Sistas, the writing isn’t the best, some stuff doesn’t make sense, some of the cast aren’t very good actors, a lot of the male actors in his shows are funny looking, like they should be handsome, but something isn’t quite right, and the awful wigs constantly distract me. But it’s still mildly entertaining, and served it’s purpose last night. Today I want to sit down with the FODMAP chart and make some kind of meal plan for the week. Yesterday I ate part of an orange and some cucumber slices, but by late afternoon I was starving, so I picked the toppings off a couple pieces of pizza. I was scared to eat the crust. That still wasn’t ideal, but I did eat a little something. Mister said he’s cooking baked chicken breasts, black eye peas, and yams today. I love black eye peas, but I’m not going to eat any. I have to look and see if yams are okay. If not, I’ll cook me some spinach (IIRC, it’s okay) to go with a piece of chicken breast. Anyway, I just wanted to tell y’all that I’m feeling better. The mental part is even more important to me than the physical part. I’m really glad to be out of that place I was in Friday. I really, really appreciate those of you that have expressed concern and empathy for me this whole time, and shared your experiences and advice. And given me hugs. I’m not saying this is all over, I’m just saying thank you for supporting me this far.

Our download on roku isn't very good today. Keeps churning and losing the signal. Darn thing.
Hubs said the provider in Washington is 100 and here we are lucky to get 20 download speed which should be enough.
Slept till 10, of course, I go to bed late but feel pretty good. Told hubs I am sleeping more. He said yes, old people, do that, when he gets old he will too. LOL! He thinks he is a funny guy.
We got .28 inches of rain, not enough but better than nothing. Breakfast is out of the way, bed made, dishes put away and dirty loaded. Need to hang up clothes in dryer. Can't seem to watch TV and I had started watching a movie but won't download. Oh well

taz157 the hair is soooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could do that. But at my age, well, I would be an old lady with blue hair. Which would not be cute. Worked on a project to get as many of my racing bibs encased in plastic scrapbook-style hangers as possible, then hang them on a metal sculpture fitted with J-hooks. It's a nice way to keep them. DH put up a new race medal display rack for me the other day. It holds between 75 and 90 medals. So I have a lot to look forward to. Running the dishwasher at the moment and planning on enjoying a lot of iced tea today. Dinner will be simple - big salad for me, previously made and frozen crab cakes for DH.

It's like 55 degrees out this morning! This is my kind of weather and I'm giddy with happiness after all the heat and humidity. My chickens were doing zoomies this morning when I let them out, so they must be happy with the change too.

I think the older a woman gets, she should feel more free to do whatever the hell she wants to, if she hasn’t felt that freedom before. I love to see ladies in their 70’s and 80’s ( and I’m pretty sure you are younger than that) still being sassy and vibrant and expressing themselves how they want. There’s a lady that use to work in a store near me, she’s probably in her late 60’s. When I first saw her, she had a jazzy short hair cut, and part of her hair was light blue. It looked great. Then it was pink. Do it!

PSA for anyone who thinks they'll be traveling I-95 through NE Philly this summer: hahahahahaha, godspeed, travelers and commuters. 6abc.com/interstate-95-collapse-i-95-fire-philly-overpass-tanker/13368736/It took a friend of mine 1.5 hours to get home from his overnight shift this morning (suburban job, city resident). Did some weeding but waited too late and I am fried. Blah. Husband and I plan on going to DSW, Target, and PetSmart, then doing jackshit the rest of the day.

I just pulled that up on a map.
