I get a lot of crap from people, because I label everything. This is one of the reasons why I do. Some day I may not remember, or won't be around and others won't have a clue. Then what use is it? Hey, I have an Uncle Ray. Maybe we're related! Bwahaha... Just kidding. I don't have an Uncle Ray. I hope you're able to get some answers. ME. My paternal grandma was pretty good about labeling stuff and my other grandma wasn't bad. But I'm starting to get down the wormhole to before they were born some are before my great grandparents. I can get these are old enough they were likely just passed down perhaps with an oral story or two and nobody noticed nothing was written down till I came along and dug them out. I'm going to put it on the wall with the other two. DH doesn't get it since according to him I don't know these people. Which is true but I still find them a cool bit of history that deserves display after years in a box. I have a photo of the Uncle Ray on my mom's side up too. He owned a bakery in Chicago. She was very proud of tracking that information down. Of course I'm going to display it. It's cool. Sometimes ink does not last as long as a photo. I have bank deposit and withdrawal slips that are totally useless because of the ink they used. After about 5 years, I only know it came from Y financial institution. And yes, sometimes they are useful to have because when my mom's mom was getting Alzheimer's she kept accusing me of not paying her back for something. I paid her within a year, but ten plus years later she was convinced I had not and kept harping to my mom about it. (Gives her dead self a stink eye.) Her Alzheimers also took a long time and unfortunately it turned her mean and into a bully. But she was also treated badly for part of her life so that might be why.

Pink Cashmere , the weight loss is a serious problem. I know I am not telling you something that you don't know, but you have got to eat. I am worried about you. Has the gastro doctor ruled out chronic pancreatitis? Apparently, I had it and didn't realize it until I had a CT scan because of my fall. Unintended weight loss is a symptom even though I never experience that one. If you have access to your most recent blood taste, check your Lipase level to see if it falls in the normal range. My son and daughter-in-law came over this morning to help me with two things in the basement that the Salvation Army wouldn't touch. Those would be glass tv stands. They took the newer one and the attached tv home with them, but they helped me load the other one in the back of my car and helped get it out at the thrift store Now I can clean down there. I really want to pack, but I am hesitant because the decor is part of what make my house attractive. What if the sale of my house falls through? I did wash the duvet covers, but I put them back on when I really didn't want to. The Salvation Army is coming back on Thursday for the four tables, cedar chest, and two upholstered chairs in the sunroom. The chairs are seriously sun faded, which didn't bother me, but makes them worthless to sell on FB. If the sale of my house falls through, I may regret getting rid of so much stuff. But right now it feels pretty liberating.

But right now it feels pretty liberating. I really appreciate you being concerned about me. I know I need to eat. But I also need to keep my job. And Iโve been so miserable for so long, that I canโt express how tired of it I am. If chronic pancreatitis shows up on a CT scan, Iโve had one of those, of my abdomen and pelvis. Iโve had an abdominal ultrasound and an endoscopy. A HIDA scan, tested for Celiacs. And tons of bloodwork. Iโve looked over all my test results myself (which is how I discovered I had moderate diverticulosis when I had a colonoscopy last year, nobody told me), and everything, including the blood work, was normal. The only thing left I guess, is my diet, something(s) Iโm eating. Which is why she told me about FODMAP and gave me the chart. The sale of your house will not fall through. We are claiming that as truth. I know what you mean about how getting rid of stuff feels liberating. Thatโs exactly how I felt when I did the big purge at my house.

I told hubs don't think the less expensive foundation is going to work for me. I have had allergic problems in the past with other brands. I tried 3 or 4 and they make my face itch so may have to stick with my Merle Norman, have used it since I was 18. And I didn't care for most of the colors. But I did find a night creme by Equate at Walmart that seems to be ok. Will see how it does, so far, so good.
I have been out watering. I have fish emulsion, I mean it is a horrible, stinky liquid but is good for plants. Hubs fixed me a 30 or 40 gallon tank to spray from so I just dumped some in it. I got it on my hands and some on a foot. Talk about stink, that stuff is awful. Can you imagine working in a plant that makes that stuff, awful.
Hubs didn't do a lot today, mowed part of the yard at the rent house and trailer, then went up and looked at the rent house. He said he was quitting for the day, he should. He is in, had his shower and watching telly. I can tell he is tired. But a day or two and he will be fine.
Dinner will be tamales, beans and rice, with lettuce, tomato, and some onions. I wish I had home made tamales. When I'm visiting the kids, going to get DIL to help and we will make a huge batch for the freezers up there. I know they will like them. And I need to make a bunch for us. A pork roast makes good ones. But I need the seasoning kit I order, it also has the corn husks, is complete.
Sweet Tigger is draped over my leg asleep and I need to go shower. The bugs ate me up outside before I put Off spray on and now I'm itching.

I went to the grocery at the city last evening. In fact went to 2 of them, hardly anyone shopping. At Sam's I was going to get eggs, I always check the dates and get the furthest out. I looked at the huge stack and all were dated the 13th. I got back in the cooler and looked at that stack same date. None of them had but a 3 or 4 day out date. Must not be selling. I saw a stocker pulling salmon from a case too. And they had none of the small watermelon and the cantaloupes weren't good so got neither. The sliced packages of cheese were $9 at Sam's, our local store is charging $19.19 for the same size package.
Went to Fresh Thyme just got the sale items. Some onions, a good buy on strawberries, corn, and cukes. Only spent $10 there. Prices have gone up again. People sure weren't shopping. A watermelon was $8.
I have a small turkey from the freezer, a lil butterball, 7.6 pounds, going to cook tomorrow if it thaws. Make mashed potatoes and gravy, maybe some noodles, and carrots.

I feel so bad.ย I accidently cut in to the quick of Amelia's claw this morning.ย There was blood.ย She seems to have forgiven me.ย If she would cooperate, this wouldn't happen.ย ย I was a bad cat mom.ย ย I'm sorry. That always scared me, when I was clipping my ferret's nails. You are a good cat mom! Otherwise you wouldn't clip them and worry about their food etc.

I'm bothered about the bait and switch at Cashwise grocer. They advertised OnCore entree's limit 3 but the buyer has to have a rewards card. Maybe I already whined about this. The man checking out when I went in wasn't a rewards member. I stopped and asked. Only one limit 3 for rewards members and no reduced price for non members.
Weather today was changeable. Cool morning at 66 degrees then warmed with wind that chilled everyone.

Ds and I hiked about 4 miles at Garden of the Gods while dh went on a trail ride with his Aunt, dc, and cousins kiddo. So pretty. We had a crappy map that didn't tell us the last 3 names of the trail we were on and I was worried we'd be late getting back so dh ended up picking us up, but now that we know we weren't actually lost we'll go back soon to finish the loop.

Y'all! I'm beat! Got home and washed off all the glitter. It was a good time. I'm beached on the couch now. I ate a bunch of fried food and now I feel icky. It tasted good though.

I am winding down for the night. Itโs been a long week dealing with family/helping my sister with her emergency. My parents are still here helping her but Iโm going home early tomorrow AM.
speaking of packing, I do it so much I have it down to 30 min or less. I usually pack the night before, bc I mostly leave too early to do it morning of. But if I leave after noon, then Iโm packing that morning. When I had to frantically pack last minute for this trip, while having to get my mom a flight and help her, DH was amazed at how quickly I did it. Other than clothes, I have a duplicates of everything. So my travel make up bag, travel hair accessories, travel power cords, etc are all in their own cases and I just plop those in the suitcase. I have a permanent โmorning ofโ packing list on my door, lol.
and all of that is going to come in handy bc tomorrow after I get home, I have to immediately repack to leave Monday AM for a work trip.

The courtyard in this building is coming along nicely. Hostas are healthy and the circular bed in the middle has beautiful perennial flowers coming up, from pink carnations to blue daisies. There was a bald spot in the front which was bugging me. I went out and got a hot pink kalanchoe and planted it myself. It looks quite at home there.

DH decided he would drive today, so we are headed home. Game was good, not used to it being such a packed house though. Should be home between 9 and 930. Going to try to convince DH to just shower and go to bed.
And I threw up in the bathroom trash can at the stadium. DH ate what I ate, so it wasn't the food. I did feel better after. I realized that I forgot to eat my banana before I went to bed last night - was likely the culprit.

I was going down to sew. Then I sit down in my recliner and like over half the time fall asleep. Hubs and I both fell asleep for an hour or two. Guess its old age, for me at least, falling asleep like that. Smoke was asleep beside me and Tiggy in the bedroom, sleepy bunch.
I threw the lettuce and tomatoes together and cut up a couple of small cukes and am eating a salad. Smoke is back beside me I really want to take him with me. He is my baby. He defers to his brother and I think he eats half his food. Today I fed him alone, wouldn't let Tig in and Smokey ate a whole can of catfood. He isn't skinny but nothing like Tig. He sure isn't getting out tonight and going skunk following.
Our neighbor next door said he will take care of our kitties for us at Christmas while we are gone. I told hubs I think they are having trouble getting kitty sitters. We don't mind feeding his either but they are gone a lot more than we are. But it would sure save us money and let us go together. We will likely take them up on it. His grandkids will be here and they are really responsible good kids so likely would help grandpa with it.

Speaking of bad cat moms, DH and I put a flea and tick collar on our semi feral cat last night. The ticks are really bad this year and the drops irritate her skin. This is her first collar and she is VERY unhappy with us.
She came running when I fed her this morning but would not come on the porch with me out there. She did allow me to come out and pet her later, which was a relief as I wanted to check her skin around the collar. So far so good, but she is going to be skittish quite a while.

I saw the most beautiful thing at pride today. There was a little girl, she was middle school age. She was there draped in a pride flag. Her parents had t-shirts that said proud mom and proud dad on them. On the back they said "I support my daughter". I wanted to cry. I wish so many more people would embrace their children and just let them be. Such good examples of parents.

Today's plus, Moon Shadow seems better and happier than he has been for awhile. Do hope I can budget in another Guinea Dad base layer with pocket again. He had his pocket and an assortment of food. I thought it was the radish tops going bad, not as it turns out the remaining ground pork, so I cut them off and gave him some of the nicer ones. He also had his lettuce, some fresh rose petals and rose hips plus a few dandelion greens. He ate pretty well yesterday.
I guess that cheered him up and made him happy. I need to go to bed and place a grocery order in the morning to make me happy.
ETA - Just remembered Moon Shadow got a whole clementine which he did finish. I should have taken a pic, he ate some of the peel but only enough to eat everything inside. I remember laughing listening to him slurp up the juice in the early stages of his clementine feast.

I hope you didn't have to re download and set everything back up again. I'm pretty sure my DGD's both have those. And they are not going to be happy campers, if everything has to be done for them again. Yikes!

We are in Oslo for the last day of our trip. Heading home tomorrow by way of Amsterdam. Not a spot of rain or really any cloudiness all 23 days. I loved this. And DH had some periods where it was taxing to him physically, but he enjoyed it enormously. I'm so glad we did this, even if we had to spend all the kids' inheritances.

Trying to decide if I should reach out to choir members or not. I did not make Thursday's practice. Too exhausted after walking to bus stops from bus stops in the Canadian wildfire smoke wearing masks. Not sure if Thursday was the day I wished I had a KN95 mask with me. My eyes were really bothering me one of those days so I split my walk back with mask on and sunglasses on no mask. So glad we are back to more normal air.
No chatter via email or phone from the choir. Wondering if I have been removed from the list or they really are that quiet? I thought practice might be canceled even though it is indoors as I think that same day NJ or the county closed all their offices for the day. Some schools closed as well.

I slept past 8am for the first time in YEARS, maybe a decade. Probably due to the gummy I took around 11pm. Asleep by midnight - and 9 hours in definitely the longest that I've slept in over a decade.
