Not sure about that. I haunt Diet Pepsi sales with a vengeance. Bought the six pack bottles for $2.50 a six pack (16 fl. Oz size) Besides water rusts pipes and don’t remember any studies showing Diet Pepsi rusting pipes! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! The store brand bottle (16.9oz) water that I buy I $4.99 for 36 bottles when not on sale, or .99 for a gallon. By comparison, I am getting 24 more bottles. I usually only drink water during the day and herbal tea in the evening. Between DH and I we typically go through about a gallon and a half a day. Plus we only use distilled water in the humidifier. I never leave the grocery store without a case of bottles and at least 4 gallons. It is annoying hauling water all the time, but pre Covid DH NEVER drank water so I will happily continue to haul it. He prefers Vitamin water, but is limited to 2 of those a day.Just curious why limit on Vitamin water. Understand that I am not up on all the different waters except that I know some are flavored, etc and others are plain. So asking from a "learn something new today" stand point!!

I wanted a water cooler years ago, but after seeing 1 leak I changed my mind. They do have those now with a pump that draws from the bottom though, and with me now WFH it may make more sense. And DH just started a new work schedule where he works 3 days 1 week and 4 the next, so he is home more now too.
ETA - Nope. The cheapest water I found for a dispenser comes out to $1.68/gallon. Looks like I will keep hauling bottles and regular gallons. You would think it would be cheaper in an effort to reduce waste.

It is not really a hard limit, and mostly self-inflicted. I do stock up when they are on sale (usually 4 for $5 and sometimes buy 4 get 4), but he knows that they have to last until the next sale unless he wants to stop on his way to work and pay almost $5 for 2 bottles (if they have his preferred flavor, which is sometimes hard to find). Plus he is too cheap to do that everyday. The Vitamin water does at least have a variety of good for you stuff in it, but not worth the calories for me - I prefer to eat my calories. They do have some sugar free options now.

The house we lived in in Texas had the best tasting well water I ever had. The pump repair company said that aquifer was some of the best quality around. We had a new well drilled because all kinds of new regulations were coming in and the other started having some sand in the water. They said the Woodlands was draining the water from it so they drilled into another aquifer, it was not good.
I don't like the water here, it likely is good coming out of the ground, but yuck. The water pipes in the system are old, they are putting in a new water tower now, but don't think that will make any difference. So we have a softener on the house water and then added a separate filtration system for ice and a new tap on the kitchen sink. I cook and drink with that water and the taste is great. I drink koolaid with artificial sweetener a lot. I am not one that likes water either and DD hates drinking water which creates problems for her I'm sure. I need to try and drink more of it again. I go through cycles of making myself drink it.
I used my inhaler last night and slept very well, guess I need to go back to that again. But I'm still tired, I always am, so just decided I have to live with feeling tired all the time.
Ok, to pain management than home to mow and hubs wonders why I don't sew a lot. By the time I get through with everything it's late and I'm pooped out. But I will, want to make a few more outfits. I have 3 made. Would like to make slacks and a top, summer pj's, and some longer shorts, the ones I made are a little shorter than I like so need to lengthen the new ones.

I have a Pur filter on my kitchen faucet and a Pur filter pitcher. I actually run filtered faucet water in my filtered pitcher, Over kill in some instances but depends on how I'm using the water. Not for drinking. Have a friend who uses Brita pitcher and likes it too. Should say that I've had filtered "house" water since back in the late 70's. I guess it's just what I'm used to. And Filters aren't that expensive - but they jumped in price after Covid. Fortunately there has been a coupon in pack with long expiration date - now that could change next buying I have to do!!

I can smell the stink of my sister's water when I walk in the house. When I used to visit and stay there, it was all I could do to take a shower without throwing up because the water stunk so bad.
I can not drink water at her house.
They have lived on two different farms in their married life. One was my BIL's parents place and then where they live now. When they moved to the new farm, everyone got really bad diarrhea from the water.
I am not drinking that stuff.
The toilets, sinks, showers, bathtub all have orange rings around them.

We have a water dispenser. We bought the 5 gal jugs for it to use. Now publix has the refill station the station I believe has 4 filters on it the water tastes good. It costs 2.50 per 5 gal to fill. We use it only for drinking and we go thru approx 30 gal per month.

Orange rings probably from iron in the water. Maybe sulfur in the water? There are filters that can be put in the main water line to eliminate iron and maybe other minerals We had a well at previous house with iron in water. It didn’t taste good but a filter took out the iron. Water tasted much better snd no more rust stains in sinks toilets and no yellow from washing clothes I’ve never had chlorine in a well and can smell and taste the chlorine in city water

Teams chat GIFs help me maintain some semblance of work sanity.
My analyst and I have running jokes. We use a flying squirrel when the sales manager inevitably goes off on a tangent. We use a flip flop when my boss changes his mind on things.
Another work buddy and I try to make each other laugh on camera during work mtgs, so many gifs are used.

DD dog did well and fits right in (she is the black one). She stayed with us a couple years ago when we were in Alabama. Our house here is same layout and we have same 2 dogs, so maybe it was familiar

My sister called last night. It was a good news/bad news situation. The judge finally made a decision with regards to her spousal support and it is supposed to continue to her ex’s retirement. Her ex ain’t ever gonna retire as at 60, he has $100k in retirement, a mortgage on a $700k house and habits that cost him his substantial salary….plus dipping into his retirement.
Bad news. Apparently my sister gave the 2 dogs some bones. It caused their tummies to get upset, and R2D2 spread the love (or shit). So she spent the day cleaning up R2D2 and the 2 hand knotted Turkish carpets of dog poop. It was a sight to behold, but alas, no pics taken of the carnage.
Today, we went out on ATVs in the Arctic. We had guards carrying rifles as we are in the polar bears food chain. Anyway, it was soooo cool, we were dressed up in suits, boots, helmets and mitts, all very needed as it was freaking cold out. Saw some pretty spectacular scenery, but no wild life….or polar bears. We are docked here overnight, and will leave tomorrow afternoon for Iceland.
Interesting story. This area’s claim to fame is coal mining. Only one coal mine remains functioning, it was slated to close last year until Russia invaded Ukraine. As this coal is particularly good for making steel, by the way it burns, the closure has been delayed. The town has no birth, no deaths. If someone is pregnant, when they reach the end of their pregnancy, they get sent to Tromso. Same with end of life issues. This is because even though there is a local hospital, they can’t deal with these things.
It used to be until the 1980s, the fjord would be iced in so no one came our left during winter. During WWII, Germans bombed this place to smithereens, but they were a few of the idiots who could land on the fjord ice/packed snow in a plane. Fast forward to the 1970s, there was an injury in the coal mine and they needed to evacuate. Scandinavian Airlines was the only one willing to offer to try to land on the frozen fjord. However, they wanted ‘runway lights’. Every car in town lined the runway with their lights on. Coal miners lined the runway with their headlamps to help as well. It took a lot of passes by the plane, but it did successfully land and take off with the injured miner. This is now an airport (reclaimed land from fjord). The airport is a 1 room shack with a lot of equipment on the roof.
We get to see more tomorrow.

Ate breakfast, made calls, sent texts, changed car pickup time for trip departure. Went to get RX and shop, answered return calls and texts. Got VM from crazy lady who called me at 8:30 last night about a supposed water quality emergency. Yeah, in Katy, a town about 30 miles away on a completely separate system Scored 3 pants, 3 tops and a pair of Skechers at Marshall's, all for $200. Tops are Lucky Brand, one of my favs, and a pair of linen crop pants are NYDJ . On the way to lunch we came across broken concrete with exposed rebar that created a dangerous situation at an intersection. DH was driving so I called in a report, then got two return calls from the City Councilmember's office. On the way back we observed the location was blocked by a police car with flashers and public works is expediting a crew to barricade and repair. I also posted traffic cautions on FB and NextDoor, so I've emptied my nice-girl tank

I was finally able to log in to Old Navy just now, while I was listening to a call that really didn't need my presence. I hate so much how awful their clothes are the past couple years (to echo the complaints I've seen the past few days from others) in that the much-loved basic white twill shorts I wanted to order another pair of, simply aren't a thing anymore. same as my beloved swing dresses that I can dress up or down. I ordered a pair of white denim shorts, another pair of blue denim, and then a pair of twill cargo shorts that I'm probably going to hate and return.

I ate whatever I wanted to, starting Saturday when Mister BBQ’d. In my mind if something I ate upset my stomach, I had a few days to try to get my shit together before I had to go to work. Everything was fine until my stomach was not happy during the early part of the day Saturday, but it finally settled down enough that I ate a grilled hamburger that evening. After that, until Monday afternoon, I ate whatever I wanted again, and there were no repercussions. Tuesday, I was more mindful of what I ate, because I had to go to work the next day. I purposefully didn’t eat much. And I still had issues today. It’s close to my bedtime now, and the thought of eating something still makes me feel like I’m going to throw up, so no dinner for me. Or breakfast or lunch today either, I’ve not eaten any food at all since yesterday. That's why a food journal is a good idea. Sometimes it can be several days before symptoms show themselves. I hope you get answers soon. I know. Baked beans have been noted, even though I only ate them Sunday. They are on the avoid list (duh, Pink).

I've always felt that many of us here are exceptional. And now there's proof "Polite society considers swearing to be a vulgar sign of low intelligence and education, for why would one rely on rude language when blessed with a rich vocabulary? That perception, as it turns out, is full of, uh … baloney. In fact, swearing may be a sign of verbal superiority, studies have shown, and may provide other possible rewards as well." www.cnn.com/2021/01/26/health/swearing-benefits-wellness/index.html

It is well after 8 pm here and it looks like it’s noon. The land of 24 hour sun can really jack around with your sleep. It’s done a job on TD.

I couldn't live up there, for the winter at least. Northern Ireland in February was depressing AF. southern Ireland in summer was phenomenal. it was barely dusk when we left dinner at almost 10pm, and the sun was already coming up before 4am when we sat around on the hotel patio with drinks and playing some music after dinner.

I'm not following. How could you not like water? It's odourless, colourless and tasteless. I don't find it tasteless at all. Yes, it's easily covered (well, not super easy). I don't understand people liking water, any more than you do, me not liking it. About twice a year, I drink one of those 4 or 6 oz bottles of water. Just the thought of it, makes me want to throw up. The water where I live doesn’t have a taste to me. But I remember visiting family in Joliet, IL when I was a child, I got a glass of water, took a sip and looked at the glass because the water tasted like something was probably swimming in it. YUCK!

I couldn't drink the water in Los Angeles or where we lived in San Pedro. It smelled bad.
