My parents lived in the country. They had a 1,000 foot artesian well. Best water I ever tasted. I would bring gallon jugs with me so I could take it to the city, even though my city has good water. We have an artesian well in the middle of our city. A lot of people go there and fill many jugs, every week. I don't like water, so I don't. I'm not following. How could you not like water? It's odourless, colourless and tasteless.

I can relate to the unorganized. I keep lists on my trusty laptop in a spreadsheet and on my phone in memos that help, but sometimes not enough. I'm just not one of those people who checks and confirms inventory or other things.
I had my DD at 26 then DS at 34. I'm grateful for them, and grateful for no more. They were all I could handle. Their father was a real dick when it came to being an involved parent. Plus, I worked a very demanding job with a lot of travel when they were small. I was stretched so thin I'm surprised I didn't snap irreparably. It was easier once XH and I separated.
This ship is underway from Dublin to Wales. Will be seeing an island today, then a castle. The weather continues to be perfect. What extraordinary luck!

I don't understand people liking water, any more than you do, me not liking it. About twice a year, I drink one of those 4 or 6 oz bottles of water. Just the thought of it, makes me want to throw up.

I agree, water has an unpleasant taste. After a health scare I’ve cut out coffee. I drink a lot of water now since I’ve made a rule for myself that I can’t drink anything else during the daytime. I’ll let myself have other limited options during the evening, but during the day, water it is. I don’t add anything to it as natural additives like lemon etc. I don’t find pleasant, and I’m trying to stay away from artificial additives. I’ll drink water, but I don’t enjoy it.

It left a horrible, metallic taste in my mouth that flavored everything I ate. I drank gallons of ginger ale and lemonade instead. Water is not always tasteless.

It's odourless, colourless and tasteless. Some people don't like drinking it by itself. When I can I flavor it with a sprig of mint or some lemon juice. My tap water is not as good as tap water in Parsippany. Houses go for more in that area because the water is better.

Water definitely has different tastes, depending on where it comes from. Our well water is heavy in iron, so it is softened. We do not like the taste so we drink store brand bottled water. We've tried all types of bottled water, but the store brand is the only one I've found that does not have a "taste".
I do flavor mine with lemon and lime, and occasionally mint that we planted in the backyard years ago.

I think our town water is sometimes heavily chlorinated and I can taste it. Beer is mostly water, right?

It's odourless, colourless and tasteless. Easy. It's not odorless or tasteless, even to people who prefer drinking water to soda or juice (like me). It all depends on the source and the water treatment. My town has fine tap water but right now the water company is doing their seasonal flush so it smells more chlorinated; I always fill a Brita pitcher so it doesn't matter to me. Philly has great tap water, which might surprise people. Friends who live ~15 minutes away have some pretty rank tap water (to me, they're fine with it) and I always fill my own bottle or bring seltzer before we head over. My sister won't even drink her well water. Some of the best water I've ever had has been from a natural spring near a friend's cabin in NEPA and Aruban tap water. I drink water plain, flavored seltzer, club soda with bitters, water with lemon/cucumber/mint. I've never been a soda person. But just because I enjoy plain old drinking water doesn't mean I can't understand why other people don't like the taste, because even if it's mild, water still has a little something going on.

DH mostly drinks Propel. He will drink plain water if we are not at home. He hates Aquafina though.
Our tap water is super hard and full of all kinds of minerals and stuff that clog the faucets. I got 40 packs of bottled water at Sam's Club before we got a new fridge with a functional water dispenser. I still keep one pack for travel but it lasts longer.
The GE filters are $50/each and we go through 3 or so a year.
Work has water bottle refill stations that have filters so I use that the one day I go in. I bring my own ice.
I'm not a fan of the tap water when we go to Florida.

I won't, either. I see what the high mineral levels have done to discolor toilets and sinks (that I clean more often than previous homes, and it still doesn't matter ) and would rather not have that running through my system either. pups and I drink bottled water that I buy by the huge jug and just leave on the kitchen counter at room temp. the pups also drink from puddles, though. lol... oh wait, I drink either that jug water (Poland Spring) or Smartwater for the electrolytes. I'll also mix up concentrated iced tea from cartons, with the Poland Spring water.

Oh yeah the tap water stripped the finish off the sink stopper in our half bath. That bathroom was completely remodeled in 2020 and finished in November. The finish was gone off it by 2022.

Not a good time to suddenly stop liking water. I found certain tea blends of mine to still be palatable so I drank A LOT of tea for two weeks. Talking to dad last night when he got home he's still a little conflicted on what to do about J but I am of the agreement that this is considered her resignation and that she quit which means she is ineligible for unemployment which I doubt she thought through. I said any other business she pulled this that is what it would be considered. I also pointed out you rehire her after this she is the type of person who will now use that as leverage for anything and everything. Even if she had a point, which she does, this is NOT how you go about it unless you are ready to win a stupid prize. She's disposable just like everyone else in capitalist America.

I drink 36-48 oz of water a day. It's tap water, but run through the refrigerator filter. Yes, they are $50 each and we go through one a quarter. I don't really "taste" anything in the tap water, but the odor changes depending on weather conditions and how much treatment chemicals they are using. There's times when the chlorine odor is strong but that's sort of reassuring that they are killing off the bugs in the water. Houston is a mix of well and surface water which also impacts the odor/taste as flooding puts a lot of vegetation into the surface water sources, and droughts concentrate the lakes through evaporation.

I'm so glad my optometrist is still observing sanitation protocols. The email confirming my appointment stressed that you can't bring anyone to the appointment unless the patient is a minor or special needs. Appointments are limited to allow for sanitizing between patients and masks are STRONGLY encouraged.

Bought the six pack bottles for $2.50 a six pack (16 fl. Oz size) Besides water rusts pipes and don’t remember any studies showing Diet Pepsi rusting pipes! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

I don't remember when I lived there, 1965-1970. Was it Schuylkill river water? If you were in West Philly then yes, you drank the Schuylkill Punch. The river quality has greatly improved over the last few decades. Definitely not the Schuylkill of yore. I live in a Schuylkill River town and that's our drinking water source as well. When my husband was doing triathlons he would do his practice swims in the river.

They have a water cooler, for obvious reasons.

The store brand bottle (16.9oz) water that I buy I $4.99 for 36 bottles when not on sale, or .99 for a gallon. By comparison, I am getting 24 more bottles. I usually only drink water during the day and herbal tea in the evening. Between DH and I we typically go through about a gallon and a half a day. Plus we only use distilled water in the humidifier. I never leave the grocery store without a case of bottles and at least 4 gallons. It is annoying hauling water all the time, but pre Covid DH NEVER drank water so I will happily continue to haul it. He prefers Vitamin water, but is limited to 2 of those a day.

I get mine tested every year or so and it's always been given thumbs up in the reports. It's filtered through 700 feet of heavy clay then limestone before it gets to the aquifer that my pump draws from.

There are many Greek organizations along Powelton and side streets. The old girls dorm is on the corner of N 34th St as is our current location. Sigma Alpha Mu. We used to walk to school. I once walked across the Spring Garden Street bridge when it was closed for construction to get to a frat party in one of the boat houses. It's a wonder I'm still alive.
