I should have never started this puzzle. It's only 750 so I thought easy peasy. It's dogs on a roller coaster. Well it is hard, I mean hard, making progress but its slow. I'm not touching it tomorrow. It's a time waster. I am sewing tomorrow.
I hope your fence war doesn't escalate to a shooting war, it happens you know.
I've been watching the Deputy series, older I'm sure. It would not be allowed in Florida, I'm sure DeSantis would ban it. There is a character that is not sure if she is a she or he. Apparently no clear line and her boss is telling her or him no matter what they are ok. It's sad when you see something like this brought into the open as some people have to deal with such issues and some governor trying to say it doesn't exist. It doesn't hurt any of us to learn about people and their issues. We are all different.

It’s been a long day, but a good one. The girls and 2 of their cousins hung out in YD’s bedroom all day. Kiddo is here, my kids and Grandbabies are here. Mister’s Aunt, Brother and Dad came over. One of his friends came over with his son. Everybody had at least seconds, and we still have a lot of food left. I haven’t had anything but a hamburger.
Mister BBQ’d ribs, chicken wings, hamburgers, hot dogs, smoked sausages, ribeyes and shrimp.
The last time DS was over here, helping me with my project, he didn’t bring his tiny dog. This time he brought him and I had already told him I was concerned about how Boy would react to him, because the tiny dog is aggressive. I’ve not known him to actually bite anyone, but he barks and growl enough that you would think he’ll bite. Newbie and tiny dog have gotten along and played together, but I wasn’t sure about all 3 of them together.
All was going well until Mister’s brother came out on the deck where DD and I were. Tiny dog was barking and growling at Brother and Boy got between them and growled at tiny dog. When Brother started walking again, and Tiny dog started barking and growing again, Boy got between them again and growled at tiny dog. Boy pretty much escorted Brother to the gate, where he was going. I made DS come get his dog. Now Boy does not seem to like tiny dog anymore and I told DS to keep his dog with him.
It was odd to me because Boy hasn’t been around Brother since he was a tiny puppy, but he was still protecting him from tiny dog. If I’ve heard Boy growl like that before, I don’t remember it. If he was protecting Brother, I guess that means he would try to protect us too.

Just finished 230 squats. Rest day tomorrow, then 240 Monday and 250 Tuesday and my Challenge is done. The 200’s are a lot for me. I plan to keep doing maybe 150 M/W/F, and considering sit ups T/Th/S How long was the challenge? Did you see any results?

I got my 2 barrel chairs cleaned pretty well tonight. And I finally got my PC hooked back up, after everything got disconnected to install my new rug and chairs, when it didn't need to be. It was a pain, but now that it's all done, I'm happy about it all. Hopefully, I will get to the cemetery tomorrow and it won't be a mad house. Some years I have waited in a line for over an hour, just to get into the parking lot. Then I had to wait half an hour to park and walk a LONG way. Followed by a long line to get out. That doesn't sound fun at all. But I'm only going to one cemetery (5 graves), so that's a relief. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! To anyone who served, thank you for your service and my freedom!

My ex-SIL is like that too. I just hate everything about it. It was so much easier when I was 125 pounds and proportioned more "normal". I just get grossed out in the dressing room and don't want to go back in there. I don't think I even see the clothes anymore; I just see my body which I don't like and know is appalling to my partner. I know I and I alone am responsible for my size and shape but it hurts. A lot. What does HIS body look like? Does he have muscles and a six pack?

I am bothered by the fact that all those laundry/dishwasher pods I use are contributing to the micro plastic pollution. I am now looking at laundry detergent sheets when I need to buy new detergent but I can't find how well those really work. So questions for my virtual Village: has anyone tried these sheets? What brand did you use? And how well did they do the job? Trying to find some reviews that I can trust v. the Amazon reviews which seem a bit iffy to me for this product (as in are the 1-star/5- star reviews true or "bought" by the seller or their competitors?) The casing is made out of water soluble polyvinyl alcohol, not plastic. I don’t use these for laundry, but do the dishwasher. For laundry, I need to be able to rub detergent directly into the stain as I frequently miss my mouth.

Almost done with the downstairs of the hoarder house. Waiting on the living room to dry so I can move the couch back and do the rest of the floor. I'm pretty sure I smell bad at this point, so when I'm done I'm taking a shower which is freshly cleaned and ordering food. All I've had to eat today is a piece of banana bread and a cheese stick. I would call you an "influencer" as you have influenced many of us to select the best beauty care products possible. And to buy Ulta stockWhich has taken a nose dive this week. $550 to $420.

Alarm went off this morning for our excursion to Lofoten today at 7. I crawled out of bed, pulled the drapes back and saw we are really rocking and rolling. Got dressed, and as I was tying my shoes the captain came in and said it’s too rough to do this stop. So we have a sea day.
Pulled off my clothes, crawled back into bed.
Sleeping this far north is really strange. Last night, around midnight, the skies looked like it was about 5 in the evening. When I get up in the middle of the night to pee, there are cracks in the curtain to show that there’s light out at 2, 3 or 4 am. I know intellectually we are at the time Of the year where there is 24 hours of daylight, it’s just really strange to observe it.

Listening to DH snore. I'm going to waken him soon and we'll go upstairs to the World Cafe for breakfast. Today is a tour of Greenwich, part of London, where we're moored. Yesterday we saw London sights up close in 2 cases and from the Thames in the evening, and I did a bit of shopping at Harrod's. This crusing stuff is wonderful. Thanks for your recommendations and information, The Walk of the Penguin Mich, both over time and very recently.

Just started my third cup of coffee. Actually, a cappuccino with an espresso shot in it. The wind is really howling and it’s raining.
Captain just announced that he heard there was a pod of orcas cavorting not that far from here, so we are doing a little diversion to go check them out. The orcas come up to the Arctic to eat, before they go south during the winter (we had a really good naturalist on the WC and got to learn lots from him), and to give birth.
I may get some more knitting in today. When I started this project, I wondered if I would be able to do it. my left thumb, where I had the anchovy procedure done on it several years ago kept cramping up every 5 stitches or so. This has mostly subsided, whew! I forgot how much I really do enjoy knitting, I’d have hated to give it the heave ho.

Just finishing up breakfast in World Cafe myself. What you might want to do is run up to WC for a couple cappuccinos while he’s sleeping. Usually, the first one of us up and dressed does a coffee run. Word of advice, leave your room door ajar so you don’t need to scan your card to get in with 2 cups of coffee.

I plan to keep doing maybe 150 M/W/F, and considering sit ups T/Th/S How long was the challenge? Did you see any results? My goals were to tone, get to a point were I could attend a group fitness class without dying and lose a few pounds. I have also been eating healthier, but I am not truly on a diet. I lost about 7 pounds? I still should lose 6-7 lbs. I was at about 135 when I was at the Dr. Monday. (Eta, I am only 5’2” so I am still overweight at 135). I have spinal stenosis, so doing some situps and using some weights would be a good idea. Doing the squats is not so difficult. I just do 20-50 in the am, then every time I use the bathroom. My knees are not great, and I have some weird way my joints are attached, so I am not hugely flexible. The 200 numbers are a challenge. Mixing up the exercises would be a good idea. My Gym has Yoga at 7:15 am and Body Pump at 8:30 on Saturday. I need to get up at 6 or 6:30 to make it b/c I need to walk the Dogs for 30 minutes before I do anything else. I just added a second alarm for Sat am so I get up and walk the damn dogs by 6:30 am. Yesterday I just slept in. Group fitness classes weekdays are at 6:30 pm, and it does not work well with my pm commute. I need to rejoin the gym by my office, but their schedule is not so workable either. I just need to go ride a bike a few days a week.

Yes and no. There are a lot of factors. I workout like no other and eat better than most. I still struggle with my weight and am not as slim as I'd like. Sometimes genetics just doesn't play nice. Add in age and it's a crap shoot. For me, it was kid #2. My abdominal muscles just gave out and what was loose flabby postpartum skin filled in with fat. My arms and legs are pretty lean, it's the damn big gut.
But, I do like to eat, and I'm been glued to my desk for several years and not getting enough exercise, so I'm definitely partially to blame.
Well, I have always carried weight in my thighs. Right now I could stand to tone up my stomach a bit. Yes, I really should lose more, but I just want to look good in my clothes. I could stand to tone up loose & flabby arm skin, but even though Anthem Blue Cross denied me more PT, I still have issues lifting my arms over my head. MPL, not sure why you went dress shopping, but I know my Tiny little Aunt Complained 2 years ago that there just are not very many places to shop in Lacrosse anymore since Younkers went OOB. I think it is like Sams/Kohls/Walmart/Target. That does limit your selection of dressy clothing. Were you shopping at home or in Minneapolis? I have to try stuff on to get an idea how it will look. Since I am petite, few stores have my size in stock. I usually order a bunch of stuff and return the rejects. I will have a Wedding in September. Thank Goodness for Save the Date Cards. This is why I am trying to tone up a bit.

I also use pods in DW but not in washing machine. I use liquid Tide detergent and Downy Fabric Softener in the washing machine.
I have some pods DD brought home, but I use a front-loader and had a pod discolor a new shirt once. I keep meaning to give them to DS as he has a top loader. I refuse to try them again.? Not sure about using the new detergent sheets. I am not real motivated to try it.

Liquid Tide and Downy here too, except I mostly vinegar in place of Downy which is mostly reserved for sheets.

We were supposed to go 4 wheeling with friends today, but last night DH decided he is feeling too meh to be around people. He tried to placate me by saying he would do some ribs on the grill today. Not enough buddy. So he will also grill some corn on the cob, which he can't eat, just for me.
He plans to mow and weed eat, so looks like today will end up being laundry day for me. Not thrilled about it, but going to give him some mental space. I make no promises on my level of bitchiness if he doesn't give me the same grace.

I'm up, farting around on here and FB since I don't have a newspaper. again. when I called this morning to get a credit, I told them I'm about to cancel the subscription that I've had since 2006 (that they thank me for at the start of each call...). the weeks that I actually *do* get a paper always seem to be the ones that I don't have time to sit and read it. I'm over it.

MPL, Also check out designers that are more flattering to aging or less perfect bodies. She is on the pricier side, but Diane Gilman is known for designing her pieces with camouflage for less than perfect middles and is most known for her jeans. I've ordered from her a few times, only once for her jeans. I started with a top and also have a blazer and some very forgiving blue pants. HSN does run sales and clearance on her items, but you might be able to find some things you like. I just looked and there is nothing really useful skirt or dress wise on the HSN website. She may be on QVC as well. There is no JCPenney's near me so I have done a good portion of my shopping at Macy's or Land's End. I miss when Land's End was in Sears. (That Sears store is dead too. Like Steinmart and various other things that have folded over the years.) Is there a reason you won't just order that skirt? You could return it to the store in the future if it didn't work out for you, yes?

Had brother been a child, the little dog would have been bitten. She wouldn't have drawn blood, but she would have let little dog know that she means business. Dogs are pack animals and it sounds like little dog just needed to be reminded of his place in the pack. Just like people, sometimes when one is doing too much, you have to tell them what time it is. My rule of thumb is as long as nobody is yelping, let them figure it out. You likely will not need to intervene.

I'm thinking of spending a bunch of money at home depot today. I found some nice looking temporary, super easy to put up fencing that I used around our garden in back, and now I'm thinking to use it to block off the patio from the dogs. Also buy as many bags of mulch as I can fit in my van and some trellis.
I need to empty the give away stuff to goodwill first though and they're not open till later.
Bbq with my folks tonight.
