My credit card and bank card are both the same color. How many times I get the wrong one I don't know. A lot of mine now are white so easily mixed up, what's the deal with that now?
I'm tired and so far today have done nothing but fix belgian waffles for breakfast. It's a mix so not as good as the ones I make from scratch, but it was ok.
My foot was hurting a lot after I went to bed so I had to get up and find a foot brace. Also had to take a pain pill, but it took me quite awhile to get to sleep. So of course today I'm tired. When I got out of the shower last night, I stepped wrong and heard the bones crunch in the ankle. It happens quite often. and when it does, it causes me problems for several days. It's better this morning.
I need to get busy, mop my kitchen, take out the trash, clean the bedroom downstairs, and then I would like to sew. I caught up the laundry last night and gathered the trash up. But honestly, I'm so sleepy I could take a nap.
Tomorrow hair fixed, we go at noon. YES! Thursday follow up to DD's doctor. Friday DD to chiro. I will mow here on Friday and at the other house Saturday. That one has the house and trailer so we don't have the tenants mow there and hubs also mows the old churchyard so about 3 acres there. He had to take the truck so took the small mower down there. I'm just mowing around the house and trailer, hubs said he will catch up when he gets back with the church yard. I don't know why hubs doesn't try to buy the church plot, he and his family have mowed there for over 40 years. It hasn't been active for years. He helps keep the neighborhood clean.

DH called a tree removal service almost 2 weeks ago to talk about a bunch of trees close to the house that he wants to have taken down since the new roof was put on. There is one over the driveway that he noticed has several broken branches that is bad enough that we have parked in other areas.
2 weeks of phone tag later guy was supposed to be here at 1 today (which was communicated at 10am today), pulled in at 12:20 while DH was in the bathroom and I am lounging in sleep shorts and tank top with no bra (HH's here). I was expecting to have zero contact or interaction. Grabbed the closest cover-up to answer the door while DH got himself together. I'm sure I looked super cute in my shorty shorts, tank top and Brooks Robinson jersey, no makeup and hair pulled up, looking freshly f*cked.
I need a vacation. ☺️

I've done that, The Walk of the Penguin Mich . I have debit and credit cards from the same bank. I got a new card in the mail so I cut up the old card and stuck the new one in my wallet. When I went to use it at the ATM, the transaction was denied. Only then did I realize I had destroyed the wrong card. #dumbass I popped into xfinity to use their quick pay machine. They had put in new machines and I really didn’t notice the difference. I stuck CC in slot. Nothing showed up on screen. I went to pull card out thinking I hadn't put it in chip reader first. NOOOO. I had put it in slot where peeps pay with cash. Could not get card out. Had to have someone from back come and open the machine to retrieve my card. #Embarrassed dumbass here! Everyone had a good laugh so I guess I broke up their monotonous day! But was my face red!

Ugh. Carrot's piano teacher quit at the conservatory last week. She's going to keep offering lessons in her home, and at first I was like, "cool, no problem", but now that we have a lesson tonight, I'm dreading it a bit. She lives about 12 miles from my house which isn't horrible, but it's about 3 miles on a gravel road. Plus, it's drive home, do chores, get settled, then head out again. As opposed to before when lessons were right across the street from school and Carrot went on his own every week before I got off work. We followed dc piano teacher and I don't regret it, but similar - where she was teaching is 2 miles from us on side roads we can bike to, her house is "across town" through construction. It makes lessons 60-75 minutes round trip vs. 40 and it adds up. I don't even do the driving there since it's during work hours. My dad drives dc 1x a week for guitar and dh drives them another day for piano. Back to back would be nice in some ways, but it's still too far to go home so the driver would be stuck waiting in the neighborhood. Ds piano teacher left as well and I would have moved with her but was so glad that he liked the replacement and his last teacher wasn't offering at home lessons. Being overly scheduled only works when most everything is in our little bubble. I suggested to him that we just quit since he really doesn't seem interested in improving anymore and I could certainly think of other things to do with the money, but he was absolutely appalled at that suggestion. I think he just enjoys hanging out with her.

Had second infusion treatment last Wednesday. Woke up and at 2 scrambled eggs and coffee. Then started to shiver uncontrollably finally was able to get enough warm clothes and blanket. Fell asleep for an hour then vomited. First infusion also felt sick the next week
Nurse practitioner called and said just take it easy today. So not really bad like chemo but feeling crap. Will take this immunotherapy side effects over the very difficult chemo side effects I’m very grateful for mild yuck!!

On our honeymoon in Aruba, I drunkenly inserted a slot machine voucher into the wrong slot and had to get security to open the machine to fish it out. I then quickly found husband and was like, "we have to go NOW." We then opted to break into our hotel hot tub. You can't take me anywhere.

We'd be driving up one side of town and down the other multiple times a week. NO. I said when you drive and pay for your own gas you can go all over CB and Omaha for classes. Until then I prefer not to kill myself or my wallet.

I suggested to him that we just quit since he really doesn't seem interested in improving anymore and I could certainly think of other things to do with the money, but he was absolutely appalled at that suggestion. I think he just enjoys hanging out with her. That's an awkward spot to be in. I let it go for a little bit and usually talk to the kid. When we have done the same thing for 6 weeks, and there's no improvement, then I have an honest chat with the parents. You start to get into a really negative feedback loop. Doing the same thing over and over is boring. You don't want to practice it at home. So you don't. So then you work on the same thing again.
I mean, don't get me wrong. We need the money and we're not in a position for me to get rid of clients. And there's a point where the money isn't worth it. I actually have a kiddo now that I'm feeling pretty dubious about. I think mom needs to hang it up with the lessons. I didn't say as much, as I think the family will self-select out. There was yawning at our last lesson. Look. Some yawning, I get. When it's part a a whole package of rudeness, yeah, no.

Normally I'd just say we'll see who the conservatory puts you with, but he's been taking lesson for 8 years now and the last 5 or 6 have been with this instructor who he really likes a lot. Plus, the conservatory has not been very communicative with me since all this happened. Carrot went in for his lesson on the 4th and they just told him she wasn't in that day. Then the week of the 11th the instructor texted me that she was fed up and was probably going to turn her keys in on Monday (the 15th). Well, she did and still no word from the conservatory. I emailed them towards the end of last week because I'd JUST bought a package of 12 lessons on the 1st and hadn't used any but they were not showing as excused absences all the weeks he hasn't been there either. They still haven't replied about refunding me.

He practices pretty much every day without me telling him to (for like 15 minutes), but it's basically just him going through the same songs over and over and as quickly as possible so he can say "I played my son like 5 times".
But man, he just loves lessons. It's not like it's some hot young girl either, she's probably older than me.

I was out for 1 day and we had 1 problem file. I sent a sum up of what we were waiting on and how it needed to read at 7am yesterday. Gave my cell # to call if there are questions.
This morning I came in, see the docs that came in and they're not good but assumed there must have been conversations yesterday that cleared things up. But nope. No one reviewed them, just bundled them up like all was good.
I guess it's job security for me, so maybe I shouldn't be frustrated. But 3 people had the paperwork and just didn't look at it.
I'm not perfect. I miss stuff too, but I spelled out what we needed and that we had to look at what came in to see if it would work. And apparently that was ignored too.

So far I don't make the kids practice. Sometimes they do, lots of times they don't. I figure a lot of our activities are ones we can't do at home so lessons are practice and I've let that continue with music. Which may change now that both kids are taking lessons for 2 different instruments which is freaking expensive.

Made tuna salad for lunch. I have a bit of my home made relish left, I don't like the store bought stuff. And this summer I needed to make more, doubt I can get the ingredients.
And the only tuna I like is the yellow fin tuna in oil. Is the only stuff that has any taste to me. I don't like any water packed tuna.
Dinner will be fried drumsticks with some mashed potatoes and gravy. DD loves all 3 items so mainly for her but I will eat it too.
Yep we are using stuff up from the pantry and fridge. However, I did buy the chicken. Kroger was selling buy one pack of chicken get 2 free, so saved about $16. People were stocking up, didn't have any limits but I only bought the 3. I can't believe they are charging $8 for a package of 5 chicken drumsticks. It did lower the price some with the 2 packages being free.
Ok, getting busy again.

Hopefully that means your immune system is kicking in and this infusion therapy is working. Yes, if you have to have yuck, mild is better than very yucky. Glad to read #2 infusion is at least livable side effects. Is it affecting your hair at all?

At my appointment this morning, she told me to try the FODMAP diet or something like that. She gave me a chart of foods to avoid or enjoy and pay attention to how I feel after eating something on the avoid side. The foods to avoid have something (I forgot exactly what and I’m too lazy to go get the paper) that triggers gut issues for some people. A lot of them are vegetables and fruits. I remember cabbage, brussel sprouts and broccoli being on the “avoid” side. And onions and garlic. I’ve been keeping a food diary, and there still seems to be no rhyme or reason regarding what I eat. But the chart she gave me also listed some ingredients on the avoid side. This seems to be a more organized way of trying to see if certain foods or ingredients are triggers for me. She said doctors can run all the tests (and they have) and try different medicines, and sometimes gut issues are as basic as our diet. She remembered that last time I saw her she said I might have to have another colonoscopy, but she wants to try this first. I actually like her, and I wish I’d gone to her in the beginning instead of wasting so much time with the first one. I believe if I’d gone to her first back in August, this would’ve probably been figured out by now. She responded to a message I sent her after my first visit, by calling me herself. The total opposite of the other one, who just left me hanging for 5 months. So, no voodoo and needles for now, please, but keep them handy. LOL!

One of my credit cards and my library card are both blue. While I rarely try to charge on the library card, I do far too often try to check out books using a bank card. The additional walking plus new sneakers (aka walking shoes) are stressing out my back, knees, and ankles. My right side has the worst of it and my knee was going in and out just standing waiting for the bus. Hope to hydrate up and lay down after I eat lunch. Mid day and lunch bus runs are once an hour so harder to time than going out. Both times thought I had missed the bus, but except for being hungry was less worried on the way home. Bus stop is by the library in town, so I can entertain myself for about an hour if I needed to. Buses stop and go pretty quickly. No wonder I wasn't certain if my stop by home was even used. (During Covid it was not.) Will check on the door to door options. There is a county bus and another one for disabled and elderly. Not sure that I qualify for the latter except for temporarily. Usually you only get added to the schedule if there are no conflicts and it can be done. I applied a couple times to be the bus driver for the county bus, but never got the opportunity to do so. Pays better than what I make now, fwiw.

seeking laundry/cleaning fairy whizzes (oh, missrigby.....?) and apologizing in advance for a little bit of TMI. I woke up super early again this morning, and discovered a near crime scene. I'm feeling like as I approach menopause, my body is just taking all possible opportunities to flip me off b/c I've never really had a horrific experience with Aunt Flo until once in awhile the past year or so. so I feel a lot guilty about complaining at all here....but. anyway! sheets and clothes have been hanging out in soapy water sinks after getting pre-treated with a magic chemical, and they will be fine after a bath in the washer. but I've got spots on my soft top mattress. what's the best way to clean that? and, i'm totally okay with having the thing air dry overnight and I'll sleep on the couch. I should have posted this question this morning, oops.

The FODMAP diet helps with symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Monash University (Australia) has an app for this, that people really rave about. It's not free (I think under $15) and is updated as needed but that's included in the one-time fee.

My doll will be waiting for future reports, with her little jacket and stethoscope I really like the common sense, down-to-earth approach this one is taking rather than subjecting you another round of tests when the first ones didn't show anything. I've heard good things about the FODMAP approach. I looked - tomatoes are okay for you to eat

Don't get it soaking wet, just dab repeatedly. Might not be 100% fix but should help

Just finished watching 90-Day Finance, The Other Way, Tell All Part 2 with DH. Now he knows why it's called the Tell All. Including a very detailed description of the procedure for creating a male organ for a trans person, and how it functions during sex.

Moon Shadow proved yet again how inventive he is. Since he loves living in the base layer pocket, sometimes I put a pee pad in there to keep it clean longer. But today, he decided he should be under the pee pad and the pocket thus giving him more cover? This is the Guinea dad base layer with pocket-

This is a pic of a guinea pig on a Guinea dad pee pad. My first pee pads were from Etsy.

LOL! The PA I saw yesterday also gave me the FODMAP Diet. She said it would not change a lot for me, as I already don't eat a lot of the stuff. Cashews are on No-No list, and I have them on the Salad I usually get when I eat dinner with my Mom after Church on Saturday. Pecans and Walnuts are ok though. Also no-no's that I usually eat are Watermelon, Mango, Apples, Pears, Peaches. Strawberries an Blueberries are ok. Some of the stuff just says to limit. I think Onions and Garlic are the "limit". Cabbage is ok, but Brussels sprouts and Cauliflower and Mushrooms are a no. I thought Broccoli was OK, but I might be wrong. Some dairy is ok, so I might try to add some back-I generally avoid all dairy. Mayonnaise is a no, I use a Vegan Mayo. I pulled High Fructose Corn Syrup out a year or two ago. I really think it causes me problems, but you have to read labels carefully-lots of stuff has HFCS in it. Gluten is on the limit or avoid list. She tested me for Celiac Disease, and I am fine. She said if I continued to have a lot of problems, to go back and they would probably put me on a 2 week course of antibiotics. I found a list somewhere, I think the fruits that you need to avoid are the ones with more natural sugar in them. I sent it to my printer, I will see if I can scan it and post it.

If he doesn't annoy me too much, he might get this for Christmas. There are tunnels, couches (yes really) and now apparently cuddle bags, which I would probably use daily. (Apologies for the overshare, probably time to micro garden or nap.)

seeking laundry/cleaning fairy whizzes (oh, missrigby.....?) and apologizing in advance for a little bit of TMI. [img src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png" class="smile" alt=" "] I woke up super early again this morning, and discovered a near crime scene. The more I think about it the more I’m like who TF thought this was an acceptable system in the first place ? I refuse to believe there wasn’t a better way to ensure the survival of the human race...or any other mammals for that matter Periods suck.
