Got the call about half an hour ago, aunt is gone. The nurse said she was really suffering - at least that is over. I have 1 last meeting at 10 and then headed home. I'm trying not to throw up. I’m sorry for your loss.

I've been mad as a hornet over our return to the office, five days a week, followed shortly thereafter by my office being moved temporarily way far from my house, like outside the city limits. I found out today that our new office will be a whopping five blocks from my house. Five days a week still sucks though. New office location sounds nice. I've been in person the entire time wearing masks and being exposed to Covid etc. so I can't relate to the WFH stuff at all. I hope it works out for you though.

So sorry for your loss, but no more physical suffering is a good thing. My mom was in such pain at the end she was flinching from the hospice nurse's touch. Try to hang there. Must be tough to be at work with such news just given to you.

And right on cue, work is blowing up my phone about a couple of sites that have had troublesome visits from corporate about things that I should know about that I know nothing about.
Just told them I will be driving all day, but will put some feelers out and I have a meeting with my boss tomorrow morning and will keep them posted.

Sorry daisylu. It's never easy.
I smile every time I see Adley hug Bautista. Adley isn't a small guy but he looks it next to Bautista. I was holding my breath last night at the game going through Trout and Ohtani.

This has been the smoothest purchase and delivery we have ever had. Ordered the beds from Tempurpedic Sunday, delivered and set up early this morning. They were here by 8, the guys were from Plainfield, Indiana. They get up at 4AM apparently. They had 3 more sets to deliver, I assume the same brand. Pleasant guys to deal with. It was a good experience.
I am trying to get the serial number off them to register the beds, can get 1 set of sheets free when I buy one, so want to get them registered. I should have gotten the guys to write them down for me. I will see if I can find it.
I lay down on one and moved it around, awesome. I could go in there and go to sleep believe me. This one even has some kind of light underneath so you can see when you get up. That should be useful. A muted light and not having to turn a big one on to see. I hav to find 2 sets of sheets here to put on them.
Hubs is off to mow at the one rent house. When he is gone I will have to do a lot of yard work at the house being vacated. Not as good as I used to be at doing it. Also need to mow here and at the other rent house. He is taking the little mower down as I won't have the truck to load the big mower on the trailer and take it down there. Will take twice as long to mow that yard also.

It's on a tag at the top end of the mattress in the most inconvenient location possible. I ended up taking a photo of the tag with my phone that I could reverse and enlarge so I could actually read the numbers

I didn’t think I had super strong opinions about WFH, but I really appreciate the convenience and flexibility and am not sure whether I’d be interested in even a hybrid job if I were looking. There was one that popped up on linked in that I might apply for, more out of frustration with the funding committee than anything else. (They haven’t got the right background to really evaluate progress fairly, seem like they are overly negative for fun, and I am in charge of a center that has a bad rap with them.). But I expect it’d be in office one day a week.

I figured out what my issue was with my sock. I can work on that while everyone is talking at me. It is small, and wooden needles.

Ugh. I just realized it's only 4 weeks until we leave on vacation! How did that get here so fast? I am really not ready. Guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend....

I'm devastated I tell you I got a notice that DH's FICO score dropped to 796 because he has too few accounts. Sorry folks, there's only so many accounts a guy can use. It will go back up when he leases a new car in the next couple of months. You may remember that 2 weeks ago he had "settled" on a Mini Cooper. Ah, he's fickle so now his heart belongs to a Subaru WRX-GT. Just what he needs, right?

sanity check - the 'memo' line on a check is mine to use as I please. as in, if I make myself a 'mental note' that a check is for stupid bullshit fees associated with something I paid already, I can say what I want on that line and they still have to take it. yes?
oh, and if another check has been endorsed, but then crossed out and never cashed, I can still re-submit to the same recipient? I'm all about fucking up their process this time, even if it makes more work for me in the meantime.

The second question I don't understand. You wrote a check and the recipient endorsed it, but then didn't cash it? How do you have the check?

Had second treatment yesterday. Had to stop in infusion 2/3 of way cause my BP went up 30pts and I had bad pain in my sacrum. Started again in half hour and got same side effects but had entire infusion
Don’t have lab results yet so don’t know if these will show any efficacy in shrinking tumor Dr was very pleased that my appetite has returned and my gut feels much better
Spent an hour in phone hell trying to find out what’s going on with getting med for Jerseyguy treatment. Prescription insurance company giving both me and oncologists the run around. It’s been almost a month and insurance company denied first drug requested by oncologist. Now the second drug is in insurance limbo
The US medical system is hell for doctors and patients but yay??!! The insurance companies are making $$$$ I doubt the US will ever be able to get rid of this plague of insurance companies cause they make so much $$ and their lobbyists give so much $$ to politicians (all of them not D or R only)

long story. it was returned to me b/c I paid what I owed and not the fee that was attached b/c it was late when I never received the first bill. I hate MA sometimes. so that said, it has never been cashed. is it still a good check to be presented for payment?

But if they returned it once because it wasn't the full amount wouldn't they do it again?
