I'm just done with people. As far as I'm concerned, the entire human race can f*ck off. Present company excluded. I have minimal proof that you all exist. You all could be AI for all I know.

Hey I checked the box that said I'm not a robot and found all the pictures with buses in them. Clearly I'm human.

BMW AAA tow done for the day. Now at a true body shop close to were I live.
Realized I have pulled muscles in my entire left side from hamstrings from the knee up through most of my rib cage, Probably from walking for groceries or the pharmacy because I had no car.

You have more than minimal proof that I exist. I a few other people actually exist, but the others could be AI.

Right there with you. DH, kids, work people, etc all seem to have the primary goal of pissing me off. I actually skipped a third day of internal work conferences because they were beyond boring and useless. Figuring I can at least be semi-productive online doing real work and come out ahead plus be less likely to lose my temper with someone.

Beautiful Tesla Y. Love the colors. Got to sit in someone's Tesla Y just to see how it was. Nice cockpit! Take a test drive . I test drove an S twice and a Y once both are fun to drive. The gull wing back doors in the Y are impressive but I thought might be prone to problems One of the doctors that came in regularly to my old workplace had a Tesla Y. Sometimes he was mad at it, but overall he liked it. I did see the gull wing door in action on the driver's side. You need to plan how and where you park so you have room to fully open the doors, or at least open them enough. I love to do test drives.

Next week I have two days of four hour long mandatory meetings about how they are going to make our corrective action policy more efficient. Yes because sitting for 8 hours in a room listening to how you figuring out a more effective way to discipline people is SUCH a useful way to spend my time. Then a few weeks later we have FOUR days of meetings plus a mandatory "celebration" dinner (so that will be a 12 hour day) to recognize all the big wigs, listen to a bunch of people who have nothing to do with our department speak and get to know the "big plans" for our future. It's going to be a major effort not to stab people this time. We had this last year and we were expected to keep on top of all our regular work while these mandatory meetings were going on. Yeah . .. Our new big wig wants to install productivity quotients. Yay! That NEVER works in the type of lab I have ever been in. Too much can change on a daily basis. If you are measuring me on Y but I get 20 X in that has to be done immediately the metrics aren't ever set up to acknowledge I spent all day doing X. I get crap for not doing Y. Then it is such a huge shock that "nobody wants to work anymore".

I had to abandon the deck for the day, the paper wasps brought a few other flavors of flying ouchies with them this year and many of them like dive bombing me.

I think I'm going to arrange for a refresher session from my personal coach. It's like pretending about my childhood and how great it was for 25ish years has broke me. I need to be authentic somewhere in my life. I can't right now, and it is soul crushing. There's 7 more jobs that I can apply for in the next 2-3 weeks.
I think I might schedule another session with my career counselor to figure out a plan to pivot to a new career.
I'm giving myself until the end of the summer to see where things are with the job situation, and then new year, staring something that will allow for a plan B. The problem is I can't afford to start all over in a new career, in terms of pay. I really never, ever thought I'd be in this position.

Just got back from excursion in Dover. This time we did Britain at War, and our guide did a fabulous job of telling the history.
There was a rain shower as we were going into lunch, then the sky turned a gorgeous shade of blue such that you could see the shores of France from the last museum we hit.
Sea day tomorrow, then Dublin the day after. I have a Farmhouse baking class scheduled, TD a pub crawl.

What you're planning makes good sense to me, Gira. Talk with your coaches and try every door and window you pass by on the chance it will open to you. Eventually somethin will open up under your hand.

I may or may not be AI considering that I am sitting in my car avoiding going up to the dentist 12 minutes before my appointment. It is the "I" part that is doubtful. I have such an irrational fear of the dentist I barely slept a wink.

Driveby posting. DS has been obsessed with a youtube video where they roast an ostrich for a few weeks. DH made the mistake of mentioning someone at work gave him an ostrich egg shell years ago, and sent DS into paroxysms of joy by actually finding it and bringing it home last night. It hasn’t left his side except for school. He’s named it Sheldon.

Also I found someone to cut the grass so my dad will stop doing it. He's going to keel over one day. They guy's only charging me $60 for both my yard and my grandma's. I'll take it. Unless both yards are teeny tiny, that’s a bargain! I pay my yard guy $65 to cut the grass at the other house. When we moved here, he cut the grass here exactly once. He charged us $180. Uhhhh, I appreciate you, but your services will no longer be needed at this address. Let’s just keep doing what we’re doing at the other address, and erase this address from your memory, please and thank you. They're basically postage stamps.

I'm going to need my parents to put their electronic devices away for a while. My dad had my trying to troubleshoot a TV problem last night over text. I finally texted my sister asking if she was at home and could she help him. She said she was and she'll go deal with it. WHY WAS HE TEXTING ME IF SHE WAS THERE?!?!?!?! I can't!

If you haven't already said, how did it go? Well, I hope! Well, he didn't tell me it was hopeless and he should be put down, but it's going to be just an ongoing battle I think starting with getting a farrier out soon to work on him. He also told me to stop the pain meds before he gets ulcers. He put him on something else that is supposedly easier to on the stomach that is also more palatable so he might take it even without doctoring it up with sweet feed. What is life expectancy for the kind of horse he is? Just curious.

Also I found someone to cut the grass so my dad will stop doing it. He's going to keel over one day. They guy's only charging me $60 for both my yard and my grandma's. I'll take it. Dad insisted on cutting, trimming and cleaning out the gutters every 3 days for as long as I could remember. His attorney walked to work and walked past my parents house. When dad was 88, the attorney told my mom it was time for him to stop. What used to be a 2-3 hour job was now taking all day because he had to rest so much. So dad found someone and he was willing to pay what it took to get the lawn looking like his standards. I don't know what he paid, but the guy game every 3-4 days. Took a while to get him properly trained, but it finally worked fine and he ended up doing the snow removal, too. My lawn costs $25 for mowing and $60 for snow removal. Neighbor does the lawn. If it was a company, it would be about the same as the snow. One day I came home and saw my grandpa on his roof doing something with one of the windows. I took a picture and sent it to my mom. Less than 5 minutes later my uncle had him on the phone yelling at him about being on the roof. Grandpa asked how he knew and he told him he had cameras planted around the house. He never did it again. Our houses are two stories and our roofs are what they call a widow maker. Why he thought that was a good idea is beyond me.

I did have fun. Good music, good food and good company. I went with my BFF and a couple we know, both psychiatrists. The musical talent these refugees have is quite impressive. They've only been here a year or two, and most have a pretty good command of both English and French. Did you get to meet the musicians? Yes. They mingled during the eating portion of the evening.

Now I remember why Zoom is better. 1/2 hour to drive a couple of miles because of construction. Followed by 1-1/2 hours of reinventing pre-existing wheels with a different name. And rounds of applause for everyone in the room, plus lots of explaining by some why they would LOVE to be productive but need more $$ and warm bodies to do that.
Those of you who have to do this to make money have my utmost respect and admiration.

Self-inflicted injury here. I was lazy last night and didn't do my sinus flushing so woke up coughing around 4 am. I never got back to sleep and I've been wheezing all day. Loaded up my lunch tacos with hot sauce and at least I can breathe through my nose now.
