The good: I did cardio first thing this morning. I’ve tracked my calories in MFP yesterday and today.
The bad: I’ve had 2200 calories both yesterday and today. Someone sent us Harry & David truffles.

I tried an on-line yoga workout focused on bone density- I have osteopenia in my hips and am hesitant to use the prescriptions that increase bone density because of my dental implants (the meds sometimes cause osteonecrosis of the jawbone- yeah, bone rot ). I consider myself limber and my balance is decent but wow, that was work even though the calorie burn was a joke (40 calories over 25 minutes). Will have to do this regularly. And a pet peeve: I've found some good video exercise workouts but every participant has been at least 20 years younger than I am. I suspect that if I look for "senior exercise workouts" I'll get a lot of stuff that's less challenging. It would be nice if they found a few fit people with grey hair to join them.

Knee Deep in Water Chloe, excellent job getting your workout in first thing! @athena53, I hear you. A year or two ago, inspired by Carrie Underwood's athleisure wear commercial, I bought a set of jump ropes. After my first session of very few minutes, my hips were like what the h*ll was that?! I'll try again when I'm lighter. Speaking of, as of this morning, I am just under 25 pounds down. I didn't believe the scale at first, so I stepped on and off a few times, and asked it if it needed new batteries, LOL. An observation I've had over the years: Generally speaking, if I eat salmon, fish or shrimp, I have a drop the next day. Have a fantastic holiday weekend, everyone.

Totally failed at tracking. 😔
Made it to 198 this morning, which makes 30lbs this year. I'll take that win, but I know I need to buckle down.

Started my version of 75 Hard today. I woke up excited. This feels very similar to the financial revolution we started in 2009 when I joined the WIRR.
I did modify the daily habits to fit my life. I wanted to set myself up for success, and some of them just felt unrealistic. For me, the real challenge is proving to myself I can do it; that I can stick to it and create some new healthy habits.

Yoga has several methods; some of them are exhausting.

142 this morning. So down 2lbs since I got back from the trip, leave Thursday for the next trip down to FL, come back by the 18th. Then the 20th thur the 24/25 taking a road trip with my aunt to Northern MI and the area around it. I feel aimless with goals. I have a meeting with a trainer at the new gym on the 27th, so that might help. I have made it to the gym once since I have gotten back from my trip. I am waiting to see what happens when I get back at work to decided if I want to keep this membership or not.
I still want to hit the 140 mark or even a bit less but I think that is kind of it. And that may be because it was a goal before I left for my trip and I am just annoyed that I have not made it.

Today is day three. So far so good. Weighed myself this morning, down to 215.8, so 1/2 pound lost since last week. Feeling good overall, and clothes are feeling a little looser. I'm sure the water I'm drinking is helping get rid of some stuff. I really think this challenge is going to work for me. If nothing else, my stubbornness will take over. Keep up the good work everyone!

Excellent progress, everyone! Congratulations, daisylu! As posted on other threads, I've been working through surplus ingredients nearing their expiration date bought for Christmas baking. I won't detail what they were, but let's just say I had just a tiny morsel while baking them Saturday afternoon. I brought the majority to the (young and slim with the young kiddos) neighbors, and the rest went to work with DH. Down another .4 pounds since Friday. Baby steps.

Today is the last day I have to wear the thigh high compression stockings.
Can't wait to get rid of them. They are hot, uncomfortable and end up rolling at my knees after a few hours, causing me pain.
I haven't been able to go to the beach, or swim at the lake until now, because I have to wear them all day.
I also stopped exercising since the day of the injections. The doctor recommended I took a break. So I get rid of the socks tomorrow, and Friday I start exercising again. I'm surprised that I miss the workouts. I got used to working out with that youtube channel. Even though it was a challenge, I liked it. Its probably going to take me a few weeks to go back to the 5,000 steps workouts I was doing. I don't regret the injections, but I had to pay out of pocket because insurance didn't cover. And Ive spent the last two weeks of the summer with thigh high stockings. I hope the injections worked and I dont have to go for a second session of them. Before I had them, the doctor explained it may take up to three rounds to get the problem solved.

Wow, we're one-third of the way through July already! I definitely back-slid with consuming carbs. Trying to get it under control. This morning's weight is 148.8. That's up two pounds from last Sunday.
For the first time in several months, I've been having heartburn. I did work out Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday last week. I'm about to head out to the gym in a few minutes. I tracked calories on MFP on Sunday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Scale was at 213.9 this morning, down almost two pounds since last Tuesday. I'm actually a little disappointed, I thought it would be a bigger drop this first week. Things still feel looser, which is so exciting. I guess I'm just impatient. But I remember something said a few years back when I was doing WW - the weight didn't get put on overnight, don't expect it go away overnight. Slow and steady!
Here are the five daily habits I'm following in my version of 75 Hard: 1. Follow a diet plan of my choosing 2. Work out 2x for 20 min each 3. Drink 80oz of water 4. Read 10 pages 5. Take a progress picture

Yea, no idea and just giving up with July. There was the 4th, 7th thur the 18th is the road trip/vacation to FL. 20th thur 25th is a road trip with my aunt up to Northern MI, I may set goals for the last week. I am about 75% eating health foods but more of them than normal, and 25% unhealthy with desserts or like the fried alligator tail and frog legs I had today. August I will be back at work, and honestly since I started teaching I have always seemed to gain during the summer and lose during the school year, expect for when we did virtual and I gained then too.

Does anyone have any go-to recipes they can share? Looking for a casserole or soup I can make a batch of and use for work lunches. I have a crockpot (or instant pot) WW soup that I love and frequently make, but want to have more options. Thanks in advance!

borscht is one of my favorites. I do not really have a recipe because I just toss things together. I do put a bit of sour cream on top when eating it.
Any rice based casserole with cauliflower or broccoli instead.

Chicken tortilla soup is one of my faves. linkI do not top with cheese or tortilla strips, but I definitely suggest adding avocado after heating. Gives it a nice creaminess. Other than the chicken and stock (I make my own), most of it comes from a can. And it freezes very well. I like to use the soup containers that you get from Chinese restaurants for freezing.

Hmmm...I have a ton of crockpot recipes, but I don't know that they're "healthy". We often make stock after we've roasted a chicken or turkey. Do you have time for that?

Are you holding @ your current weight? I had a bad run of work travel+vacation+moving=tons of eating out for the end of June through this weekend. I definitely need to reset this week. I'm insanely bloated!

Fun weekend with lots of walking but with tons of high calorie, heavy food. Thursday was 12,847 steps (with six hours in the car) Friday was 23,110 steps. Saturday was 20,036 steps.
I didn't track calories.
I'm at 148.2 this morning. That's even from last Tuesday, so I'm not upset. Back on the tracking of food consumption today.

I'm insanely bloated! I didn´t weigh myself yesterday, I woke up with a headache and spent most of the day in bed. I am also at that fun time of the month, so over all just blah. Clothes feel mostly the same, a little tighter but not a lot, so I am expecting I gained a little, but do not know if that is bloat and water or not. The 3rd road trip got canceled so I will start back with keeping track next Sunday.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Scale at 213.3 this morning, down 0.6 lbs from last week. Again, frustrated with how slow the scale is changing. I know there are other things to focus on, but this is two weeks in a row I was not down as much as I was expecting. I really hope next week shows a lot of progress. Overall I'm still on track with my challenge. Have stuck to all the habits every day. Need to plan a little better for workouts, not a fan of cramming them in right before bedtime.

Been weeks since I’ve checked in, but I’ve been putting in the effort. I weigh myself officially tomorrow. I had a loss last week but it may just come back this week, which will be really frustrating. I started going to the gym again, did the weight training classes that don’t irritate my foot. So I feel like I am doing better, but time will tell, if my clothes ever feel looser. I do think it gets harder to lose as you get older, changes are happening more slowly. But if nothing else I am feeling better. And I got to chat with some friendly women at the 6am classes I attended. It’s a healthy habit to build, I sure have enough bad habits I could replace!

Hi All, I haven't checked in in ages. I'm up 14 lbs from my lowest weight but still 50 lbs down from my heaviest weight. I'm snacking at night again and it's doing me in. I'm also not walking as consistantly. I'm hoping this will inspire me to be more accountable.

145 this morning, so looks like a 3lb gain since I weighed in on the 2nd. Not great but I can live with it. No going to the gym this week since my car did not come in this past Monday, hopefully next week. To hot outside to walk. So lots of reading in bed and just hanging out with the girls at home. Which has led to baking things like coffee cakes and other stuff. I am supposed to have a meeting with the trainer on Wed to go over switching my routine to a more strength training vs weight lost goals. We will see what the car situation looks like.
