I'm surprised nobody started this thread yet. Though, reading in the "What are you doing right now?" thread I see plenty of peeps are stressed out about the holidays, so that may be the reason.
Im working on my goals for 2022. It's not finished yet. I like goals because I see them as a way to improve. I don't take them as imperative, more like a suggestion.
I hope I can post my goals tonight or tomorrow.
Looking forward to everyone's posts.

Randomly related...I've been looking around at crafty blogs and what not for year end wrap up and new year goals. I've seen exactly nothing. I think it's weird when Christmas is at the end of a week.

I’m kind of in a stick-my-head-in-the-sand space at the moment. I’ll snap out if it, so I can get my ass motivated for the upcoming year, but not there yet.

Seems like so many are in survival mode! How can you set goals and plan when things in the world seem uncertain? We do need to try and put it all aside because as my Dad used to say...This too shall pass, but WHEN.

Nope nope I learned from 2020 and 2021. I ain't planning ANYTHING. I will sit on my hands and very politely wait for 2022 to do what it's gonna do.

I'm not necessarily quantifying any financial goals for the next year, other than to say that I want to keep my WIRR racing balance continuing to move in the correct direction. I also want to commit to paying off the house projects I've got pegged into my cash flow spreadsheet (with the aid of a CC front) so that my overall debt keeps going DOWN.
other than that, I have a goal of trying to build back at least a little bit of normalcy. I've already started some, since going on vacation last month. I need to keep that going, for my sanity.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me but having plans makes me feel somewhat in control.
Most of my goals have nothing to do with the pandemic still being here or not. For example; one of my goals is to drink more water and more green tea.

I want to get my hobby hole finished so I can put all my craft stuff where I can see it. I have a couple of projects I'd like to start, but I'm not going to do it until the room is finished. I'd also like to get our den started on the remodel. That's going to be a mess, so DH isn't excited about it. He'll like it when it's done, though.

Too early--gotta get through Christmas first.
Not that I'm inclined to set goals anyway. Just wanna be healthy and happy.

I need to get through Christmas first. Then, once things settle down a bit, I might be able to come up with some goals. I've sort of been in survival mode, but I did pleasantly surprise myself by losing 30 pounds in 2021. Maybe it takes a pandemic to get your priorities in proper order?

I knew I could, I just needed to get to a point where payments were actually doing something. to that extent, the pandemic has been good for me, I'm hardly spending money anywhere on a daily basis.

I saw this and thought it's interesting. 59% of people think keeping resolutions will be harder in 2022. wallethub.com/blog/new-years-financial-resolutions-survey/69652I need to get my 2021 list. I think I accomplished less than half on it. I'm less sure of what goals I have for 2022 than I have been in a long time.

Keep my weight down. Go through the daily Bible readings in the church lectionary every day. Keep my withdrawals at a sustainable rate.
And I REALLY hope I can leave the country on at least one of my two planned trips.

I don't make New Year's Resolutions or set goals. That sets me up to fail.
I hope to get my bathtub replaced with a shower in 2022 and I had better be able to go to Toronto at least once.

We are talking about a good summer driving vacation traveling out west-not too far out west, Arizona is as far as we will go, and then northward from there. Planned on doing it in 2020........want to do it before too old to drive a few thousand miles by car and actually enjoy the trip.

To get ODD and YDD through the school year. To continue to get health and build up stamina for my road trip I have planned in June. (this will just be a me trip) Find a reason for the girls dad not to go with us on the road trip in July. (this one is with the girls) Not need bail money for stabbing anyone. Stay caught up with work.

So, when I sent my boss a link to the grad program I applied for, she suggested some other things and that I discuss with director. He likes the program I chose, but suggested CMA for speed of attainment. This might be a goal, but I'm not ready to say yet. Still gotta get through Christmas. Dinners, gifts, playing my flute during mass.

To continue my quest for mental peace and stability. To quit using Covid or anything else as an excuse to avoid physical exercise. Finding a way to travel that doesn't set me up for more stress or failure.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me but having plans makes me feel somewhat in control. Most of my goals have nothing to do with the pandemic still being here or not. For example; one of my goals is to drink more water and more green tea. I hear you. I need some sort of structure or direction otherwise I just mess around and sometimes make spectacularly bad decisions (because - if you don't know where you are going any road with get you there. ::sigh Some of my non-pandemic, non-work related goals for 2022 are: 1.) possibly work with niece on her vegetable garden next spring/summer - in theory I may be Retired so I would have time to help out. I've already saved some seeds from Kobacha and Red Kuri Squashes with the intent to try getting some plants started next spring. I also "harvested" marigold seeds and saved some "plant trays" with the thought that I'd make "marigold plants" next spring. 2.) to seriously consider buying a sewing machine. 3.) to finish the 3 crochet projects (afghans/blankets) I've started and not picked up again. I will eventually have 2022 financial goals (I reached all of my financial goals for 2021 - which is the FIRST time I've ever accomplished that! It was due to spending less because of the Pandemic. ) I will also eventually have 2022 "work" goals... but it's complicated so they may not be much of anything.

I don't do well setting resolutions, but I do need to get better organized and start to purge some of my junk. It's getting too overwhelming. Hopefully 2022 will come with some more energy so I can get things done.

2022 is going to be the year of the catch up and big changes. We need to repaint the interior of our house. It's been 12 years since we bought the place, and the pandemic hastened things along.
We may look at replacing some carpeting. We need to get new flooring in the kids' bathroom. It's circa 1990 and starting to come up around the edges.
We need to wash the exterior of our house, get our lawn/flower beds in better shape. There's some other outdoor repair work that needs to happen.
DS is going to be going to tech school. His room is going to need a massive overhaul, because I'm going to move teaching into there. DD1 will get her own room, and the missy and peanut will share a room. DD1 will need some furniture.
We have a biggish party to plan. Three graduations/transitions in the spring. We're hoping to take a real summer vacation to DC. We need to continue on the path of prepping DS for launch. He needs to be fully adulting in October of 23. Considering he's still going to be in school for most of that, that's a big lift.
We also really need to assess our stuff and replace what should have been replaced a while ago. We're using sheets with holes in them, only because there's no time to replace them. And shopping with toddlers isn't our idea of fun. We don't even have enough adult-sized water glasses for 6 people that aren't plastic. We also have a couple of different styles of the glasses we do have. DH and I need wardrobe updates. I have one interview outfit that is now 18 years old. I'm not even sure it fits. I don't have clothes that will help me play the part as I move up. I'm wearing out my clothing and I haven't had time to replace.
I also have health things yet to deal with: getting adjusted to tamoxifin, getting a colonoscopy, and getting my port out.
There's also studying and taking my GREs and applying for another program for a spring 23 start. We'll see what DD1 ends up doing in HS. I promised her that we could try travel/elite cheer one year. If we do it, it would start summer of 22.
I'd like to get some stitching done for the kids. Most have a birth sampler that isn't baby-ish in various stages of completion. I'd also like to stitch a table runner or something for them as well. I'd like my MIL to use what's left of my wedding dress to make ring bearer pillows for all of the kids, and then I can get rid of my dress (I'll save some lace for just in case). It's going to be a busy year.
