Was my husband's comment. Of course as a Ymamer I can't do that. My natural reaction is to save it but in the spirit in which it was meant I know we're supposed to spend. What are you going to spend your stimulus money on? ETA: Over on the Bogelheads forum some people have already started receiving checks. Wow, that was fast!

Put it towards paying my 2020 taxes. I haven't finished the return yet, but I will wind up owing money.
Or towards a new roof on my detached garage.

Carrot's is going towards his 21-22 tuition. Mine is getting set aside for our vacation in June.

We're building a house, so all of our money is not being spent wisely. We have talked about using the latest stimulus to buy a hot tub. But right now, it's being saved until we finish building new house / sell current house / see where our finances end up.

New windows throughout the house and some nice blinds installed after. The project will also include replacing millwork and 3 interior doors. The stimulus won't cover all that but it sure will help. I have a local contractor willing to help and a local lumberyard will order the materials. We live at the end of nowhere, so buying local is important. Need to keep the local guys open and prospering.

The first $3,000 will go toward DD's hospital bill. After that who knows? I liked to spend like crazy, but DH is a saver (party pooper).

Well I'd be happy to blow it on a vacation or something if we qualified. I'm not sure i believe the estimates that 90% of households qualify. That would make us 10% and it doesn't feel that way at all.

Never having qualified for a stimulus check, I can only comment on what I "would" do with one. I'd probably invest it. Or maybe buy some snacks.

For me, it's going into a no interest (hehe) saving account as did the others. I don't need it and I won't spend it either.

Yeah, we missed out on the first, second and third round of stimulus payments, but this bill also bailed out the pension funds for a good swath of people.
I feel really ripped off. DH has a high income, but he has no Health Insurance, and no pension or 401K. If he did have those benefits, his income would probably qualify for the stimulus.
I think they way they did it when Regan was President was better, where everyone got the $$.

Our puppy has been teething on some of my furniture. I'd been planning to replace some of it anyway, but I won't buy until the teething stage is done.

I'm getting my new-to me car with it. This is the first car I've been able to pick out. The rest have been hand me downs that others picked out.
I'm a little giddy over that.

Well most of it will go to beefing up the regular E-fund, but some of it (and a little of the last one) will go to my current hobby, which is coin collecting. Right now I'm into silver bullion coins, specifically. Silverbugs would say I'm trading fiat for real money (even though my interest is numismatic and not hedging against inflation).

I'll be spending mine mostly on grandkids. I encouraged my daughter to let her oldest daughter go out for cheerleader. It's $600 upfront for those who make it . . . and she did. With 5 kids, you have to ration your activity dollars. I offered to pay half. I also am encouraging my son's oldest to take an ACT prep course to try to get his scores into major scholarship range. That is another $400 for the particular course I want him to take. Since I am choosing it, I am paying for it. I guess the rest will go toward some tree work I want done. I'll probably have to supplement depending on whether they just remove branches or the whole tree. So I am spending mine "wisely" but definitely spending it.

We would do these projects anyway even if there was no stimulus, but I guess in a way it goes to re-piping our house with PEX and replacing the old siding with Hardie plank. Plus repainting some interior rooms because of holes cut in sheetrock for PEX. And painting the new Hardie plank. And refinishing the front door and resealing the decks. It's going to be a pricey year but that's okay.

Oh man....now I'm picturing buying a new hvac/ac or putting in windows. Or getting a hot tub.
I'm trying to be responsible with it, but I fail at so many things this might just be 1 more to the list.

DH has saved his stimulus checks; my first two paid for groceries and medicines. This third one is paying for groceries, medicines and clothes I bought for myself (nothing fancy, just jeans and undies and that kind of thing).

I gave my (rounded up) first partial stimulus check to my cleaning lady. i calculated what the second would be proportionally so I would donate that amount to the foodbank but it turned out with the reduction factor applied I received zero. Donated the calculated amount anyway. For the third one I will definitely not qualify but I am debating ignring that fact and sending money to the foodbank anyway. The only thing that makes me weary of doing that is that I don't want to get endless "gimme" letters as a result. So I am still thinking that over.
