And people feeling afraid of getting Covid is on them. 🤨 Covid is putting people at risk and MAYBE those that aren't vaccinated might get it. It's like that Tom Cruise movie with the pre crime predictions and people got punished for crimes they hadn't even thought of yet. Overly dramatic but actually those not getting vaccinated will have committed the "crime" of not being vaccinated and are subject to the social "punishment" for that choice. Ya, if you can't hear what's wrong with that not a thing I write will affect you.

Ya, if you can't hear what's wrong with that not a thing I write will affect you. There are a million "if ..., then ..." imposed by society that we all face every day. If I drive drunk, then I will be banned from using public roads. It doesn't matter I never actually caused a wreck or killed anyone. Society has declared me a danger to public safety and limited my driving priviledge. As far as personal physical autonomy? I am still free to drink. I can even drive drunk on my private land. Society is just protecting itself from a known thread.

You're not entitled to visit any country you want. Each country is completely entitled to restrict who visits their country.
You're not entitled to enter private property unless the laws of the land specify otherwise. So airlines and cruise lines and anything else can set standards they want as long as they don't violate a law.
And honestly I think a kid who medically can't get a vaccine is 1000% more entitled to a public education than a kid who refuses to take the vaccine for personal reasons.
Yes getting the vaccine greatly reduces your odds of getting covid but 1) the stats currently are coming from before most of the current mutations so we can't yet say if they're as effective against them (and considering Pfizer and Moderna are looking into booster shots I'm going to guess likely not as good) and 2) even the very first vaccinated haven't hit one year yet - we have guesses on how effective they are long term but my friend that is in the trial is still a bit short of hitting 6 months. We don't know how well the effectiveness stands up and if a lot refuse and allow the virus to spread faster than it could those vaccinated could still be at risk.

My home is private property. No one has entered it without wearing a mask since last March. My rules.
I may have to reconsider to vaccinated or wear a mask. Have not decided yet.

I have an autoimmune disorder and, due to the medications i take, they aren't sure how well the vaccine is working for me. Therefore, the more people around me that get vaccinated, the better my chance of not dying. I appreciate that!

So far my autoimmune don't seem to make them less effective, but I also haven't had a lot of titters done. She's asked her doctor to give her an antibody test after her second shot. To at least know if she had any response to it.

I did not see where the vaccines were forced by the government. Only that if you want to travel and maybe go to large entertainment venues, or maybe eating out. I am not sure there is a government mandated vaccine policy being proposed in the US or Europe. But I can certainly understand why a country will not let in unvaccinatrd people. Imagine this - the USA gets control of this thing. We lower our spread and death rate and have kept the worst variants off our land. We decide that having vaccines mandatory for international travel is a violation of human rights, so stop asking for vaccine proof. The first international flights are from China, India, Brazil and South Africa. Within weeks, new variants are popping up all over and our hospitals fill up. They are all traced back to non-citizen passengers on those flights. Did we do the wrong thing by waiving the vaccine requirement for international travelers?
