I think I've found my perfect pink eyeshadow! It's in this palette: linkI'm rocking pink fading into purple today. DH laughed and said I was going all out with the bright colors. I don't care if no one else likes it, I do! The pink is almost exactly the same color as my lipstick. Yay! Tomorrow I think I'll try one of the softer pinks I bought. I have a nudish pink lipstick that I like, so I'll wear that even if no one else will see it. Lipstick makes me feel like my face is "done" even though I don't go anywhere. And when I'm out, I'm in a mask. Oh, well. It makes me happy!

My Fenty package was delivered today. Yay! I’m anxious to open it and play.

I played in makeup today and currently have a full face of makeup on. It’s far from perfect, but at least I know what I need to work on. First I have to get my skin back together. Between the masks that cause issues on the lower part of my face and my favorite cleanser and moisturizer going bye bye, my skin is not as clear and smooth as before. Ugh! Eyeshadow question.... my crease is so deep that 1. the color in the crease disappears when I open my eyes and 2. Some of the lighter color on my lower lid transfers to my upper lid when my eyes are open. It did it in different spots on each eye, but I need to figure out how to prevent it completely. Suggestions? I managed to do a little contouring to highlight my cheekbones. They’re high and one of my favorite facial features, but since I’ve gained weight, my face is fuller and my cheekbones aren’t as prominent. I think if I can master contouring I can make them stand out again at least a little, even if they’re just shadows of their former selves lol. I don’t what kind of brushes are better for what as far as blending foundation and contouring, or if I should use beauty blenders for some things (I don’t own any). I only have big fluffy brushes and a smaller one for blending concealer. Suggestions are welcome on that too. Last question, concealer isn’t helping much with my dark, puffy under eye. Do I need color corrector for the darkness? I know different colors cancel out different issues, I guess I can Google that unless someone here has a quick answer. One of the free lip paints is a medium purple color that I would’ve never bought, but I like it! Lipstick is the one area where I’m not afraid to be bold lol. The other color, I don’t think will look good on me, I’m going to just give it away. I think that’s all I got out of my playtime today.

I have a bobbie brown under eye corrector that I think does a good job, but i'm rather new to all this, honestly.

I do this differently than Andi, I think. I go above the crease onto the lower part of the brow bone.
Not sure about the rest of the stuff. I have some favorite brushes, but I'm not sure they are the best option. Just stuff I've found through trial and error.

I also go a little higher close to the brow bone. I have small eyes with a crepey overhanging lid. I enjoy letting people see what I'm wearing without me having to close my eyes! lol

I go pretty high in the crease too. I have hooded eyes, so I basically have no lid space.

We blame Andi for makeup purchases right? There's a new Urban Decay palette and a new Morphe one I want.

I don't know how I feel about the UD one. I feel like I need to see it up close to decide.
Which Morphe one? If it's the oasis one I'm on the fence about that one too.

Also, I went to the Morphe site and I blame WVU for the purchases. Sale items are an extra 30% off.

I may or may not have ordered a Morphe eyeshadow palette today. I am having a lot of trouble getting eyeshadow to show up. Idk if it’s my lack of skills or the products I’ve been using.

I guess proper blame belongs with Ulta because it was in the ad that showed up at my house. Not on their website yet though. I think I'm going to wait for it to show up on Ulta and count towards my platinum status. I also thought I had the UD purple palette but I haven't found it yet. Doing a big purge of the bathroom over the long weekend. And assembling the IKEA cabinet so I have storage.

I like the Morphe one, but I think I wouldn't use at least the top two rows because I'm darker.
That UD southwest or whatever it is looks nice, but I feel the same about it as the Morphe one.

Sometimes you have to layer some of the products to get them to show up right. Also, do you have a base or are you putting them on bare skin?

I hope you all don't mind if I join in. I too have hooded eyes, my crease disappears when I open my eyes so I have to put it higher than they show on the makeup tutorials or you won't see anything when my eyes are open, lol.
Pink, I'd recommend an eyeshadow primer. My eyelids tend to get oily as the day goes on so without primer the eye shadow will fade and migrate to the crease within an hour or two. With primer, it literally lasts all day (8 hours plus). Such a difference!
Does anyone have an opinion on magnetic eyeliner and lashes? Is it really as easy to put on and take off as the commercials make it seem?
Facebook has been showing me Il Makiage commercials, where you take a quiz and it sends you a bottle of foundation to try for two weeks. $44 is a lot of money for one product though! Has anyone tried it?

I pulled the trigger on buying the Trixie Mattel blush palette. I am excited.

I have had to promise not to buy any more makeup until I use some up. Because someone has a bulging bag of it hanging on the hook in the bathroom that isn't mine.

I want to get an eyelash tint so badly. The spa near me was going to do a freebie if I would be a model for them, and I said yes, but they called the day of to cancel because they didn't have the product. I hate being on zoom meetings without mascara, but I hate having to take it off at night I need to find another place.

Micellar water will take it right off. I basically put my makeup on with a paint roller and it gets all my mascara off. Plus it's water so if it gets in your eyes it's no big deal.

Does anyone have suggestions for clear nail hardeners? I am currently using Sally Hansen, which doesn't hold up.

Sorry, I don't use any, but to you take biotin? It's in my women's multivitamin, and it's been making my nails too hard, if you can believe that.

So apparently it's national lash day. So naturally I have all the false in my Ulta cart since they're on sale.
