nope, no contacts. this feels like an eyelash, or a strand of LD's fur, is just irritating the outer corner of my eye/eyelid. Could you have scratched it somehow?

I'll confidently say no, bc I did actually scratch a cornea in grade school. this was nothing close. as I also said to Mich, I'm already past the irritation, so I think I'll be pitching the new mascara. recommendations welcome, with the allergy caveat on what I actually try. TIA! 😬

I've used Maybelline Great Lash in the pink tube forever. I've gotten samples and other more expensive ones and I always return to this one. I think ingredients can shift especially with all the supply chain shortages in the past few years.

I got this because someone said it was life changing. We'll see. Supposedly it make your hair so smooth and soft from the first use. I'll report back. Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves High Shine Lamellar Water Rinse, 6 fl oz www.walmart.com/ip/245986814

first time poster, not even long time lurker. but I have a particular question - do brands change ingredients in their makeup often? I know makeup is FDA regulated here in the US, but the rules/guidelines are a lot different than what i'm used to in pharma. I recently went through all of my makeup and bought new stuff before starting to travel for work again. caveat: I use Mary Kay, Neutrogena, Maybelline, and Almay. I'm not allergic to any of the above. my allergies tend to be line-wide, so if anything in a line is okay, I'm good for all of it. the specific question - the mascara I'd used forever was apparently discontinued since the last time I bought it, so I picked something else by the same brand. I spent Mon/Tues in my flavor of "fully made up" and washed my face after removing makeup both nights. most of yesterday, and all of today, I feel like there's still something in my eye at the corner. last night after removing makeup, I did a full eye flush before I jumped in the shower. I can't find anything in my eye, even still. I'm starting to wonder if it's an allergic reaction to *something* in the new mix. Makeup brands change their formula all the time. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Hopefully you feel better soon.

fair enough. I'm already way less irritated today than when I posted. so I'm leaning it's something with the makeup. so I guess I need to figure out a new mascara for when I need to actually be presentable in something other than pajamas. You can't go wrong with the essence lash princess line. It's so good! And it's $5. I don't have allergies, so take my recommendations with a grain of salt.

thanks! you might be proud of me. I've been keeping up with a gel manicure* since I went to FL in October. I still dress like trash and don't shower everyday, but I'm also debating a gym membership at the Y literally 2min up the street in that development that keeps getting closer. *I'm not awesome about getting there in a timely manner, but my nails are always presentable these days. I'm trying to get better about self care. b/c it's far too easy to sit around my house in leggings and hoodies. as an adult, I never took baths, until COVID. self care is hugely important! I'm getting there, but the nails thing is actually helping me get there. there are weeks in the summer where I don't leave my house. it's not healthy. *I probably need to be better about the schedule, but....it's still a thing

For anyone into skin care and trying all the lotions and potions, January is Love Your Skin event at Ulta, and my favorite - CosRx Snail Mucin Essence - will be half price on January 7. Other products I like: Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Moisturizer on sale January 14 and Peach & Lily Glass Skin serum on January 17.

I saw that. The Tula sunscreen is my fave. I may have to get a backup. It's really good.
