I haven't worn makeup this week because of no water to wash with. I think I'm going to go ahead and do my eyes today. I can take the mascara off with baby oil and I have enough boiled water to wet down a wash cloth to remove the shadow. It's exciting to get back to somewhat normal!

So apparently it's national lash day. So naturally I have all the false in my Ulta cart since they're on sale. Pffft. By the time you pick them up or they're mailed to you it won't be national lash day anymore! Back in the day, long, long ago when wigs were all the rage...maybe early 70s?...false lashes were a big deal, too. I had wigs and wore false lashes. (Yes! Me!) Now I still can't get mascara on without poking myself in the eye or getting it globbed all over my face. Sigh. |

I've never tried false lashes, though I could use them as my lashes suck. I usually skip the mascara because I mess it up. Pretty sure I'd really mess up false lashes.

I don't know if I have any pictures of me with them on. Camera phones weren't all that prevelent yet when I was a teenager.

Wireless phones hadn't been thought of, much less camera phones, when I was a teenager. We still picked up the phone and heard "number, please" if we were lucky. Not lucky? We picked up the phone and heard whoever all else happened to be on our party line. We got pictures if we happened to have a camera along when we wanted to take a picture. After we used up a roll of film, we took it to be developed and waited at least a week to get the pix. I'm old and know stuff, but pink eyelashes wasn't anything I ever knew about. Funny, whenever I look at old snapshots, I remember how cute a dress or an outfit was. DGD will look at the same snapshot and say "Gramma! You wore that?" She has the same reaction to old photos of DD. |

Hey andi. I need a mascara that adds volume and length, in black/brown (NOT just black) and is waterproof. Any good recommendations? The black/brown part is the hard part. Let me do some digging. My first suggestion would be Colourpop BFF mascara in the shad Brownie Points, but I don’t know if it's too brown. I have it and it doesn't look super light on my black lashes if that helps. I also use Lancôme Hypnose Volume and Benefits They’re Real . Good luck !  |

DD's hair is so dry, I use and oil based shampoo but I'm wondering if I should give her vitamins for hair and skin. She takes blood thinners, Eliquis and others so hesitant.
She is taking Vitamin C, as she eats little fruit and its helping the skin but not the hair. And she is always scratching the back, I put a treatment from the doc on it, but insurance quit paying for it. I was just going to buy it till I found out a small bottle is $300. We have some left yet, but it just stops the itching for a bit. Maybe we need to go to a dermatologist.
The sun is out and its 57 degrees out so nice. We are going to get her a haircut today and go to Walmart. I'm just tired today.
Hubs and I are talking about eating less again. We drift into the heavy meals then realize and try to pull back. I have got to lose weight and like to eat, sigh.
My hubs who says he doesn't like cats, feed them in the morning, makes sure they don't get out. Smokey was over rubbing on him wanting petted when he came upstairs and he always pets them when they do. They are so pretty and don't scratch or bite us, so he likes them I think. I didn't play rough with them as babies and it made a difference. If they scratch you its by accident like where the one jumped and caught my arm.
Gosh, I am bored to death today.
