I miss lipstick too. It’s the only makeup I’ve consistently worn, ever. And I have a LOT of lipstick. But like you said, what’s the point behind a mask. I can do another eyeshadow zoom call if you need. I'm off on Monday. I've been doing an lot with my eyes since the whole mask thing started. Darn it! I’m just now seeing this. A day late and a dollar short.

Did the Aztec mask tonight. It’s nerve-wracking while it’s on and insanely messy to get off, but my face does feel better afterwards.

Count me in the missing lipstick group. I finally started wearing lipstick for most of my virtual meetings. A neighbor told me my lipstick I always wear for council meetings is on point (I'm on borough council and we're holding meetings virtually). Yay me! Lol

Why not just wear a matte liquid lipstick? You're wearing it for you, not everyone else.

I painted my nails. I'm not working for two weeks and it's not like I have anything else going on.
With my trays in I can't chew them off so for the first time in years I have nails worth painting. Did a metallic blue.
Tried black eyeshadow. That's a hard no unless I'm screen testing for The Walking Dead. Took a lot of micellar water to get off.

If you put something dark behind it, it will look less muddy. I use a black gel eyeliner all over the lid before going in with the eyeshadow. Try it. Also make sure you blend really well.

Recommendations for a brush set, mostly for eyes? The one I have winds up sprinkling eye shadow bits onto my cheekbone and undereye area which is not the look I’m going for.

I got an Ulta four piece brush set, but I can't find it on their site. I like the brushes.

It could also be your shadow causing fallout. An inexpensive brand of brushes I've always liked is Real Techniques. I know they carry them at Target.

Also likely to be my lack of technique I have no idea what I’m doing! The last time I tried eye shadow it was just the little foam applicators.

Hey Andi,
When I carry my foundation in my makeup bag, it seems to leak out of the bottle and get all over everything else. Is there a brand that has a better container for carrying around in your purse?
I usually use Este Lauder Double Wear of Clinique Beyond Perfecting
Thanks!

Thanks, I will check it out...not that I really need a new foundation yet, but having to clean everything in my makeup bag is annoying so I just might go ahead and buy something now.

I don't remember who recommended the NYX alabaster concealer, but thank you! It's just the right shade. I had pretty much given up finding concealer that didn't make my dark circles and bags look worse! I also have to give a kudo to The Original Makeup Eraser. link I was afraid it wouldn't work to take off waterproof mascara, but I've had no issues with it. I rub my eyes less with the eraser than I did with cotton balls and baby oil. Of course, that may be because I only wear one coat of mascara. Anyway, I like the way this works.

Colourpop and Morphe have sales right now and I'm weak. BUT! I only spent $33 on the Colourpop site and $25 on Morphe. For that I got 2 eyeshadow palettes, 2 lipsticks, a translucent setting powder, a cream contour stick, a cream eyeshadow, a lip liner, and a set of eyeshadow brushes. I call that a win!

As long as I’m throwing money at grownup toys...what lip color(s) coordinate(s) with purple and pink eye shadow? I’m at a loss, literally nothing I have looks right. The best I can do is a sheer pinkish gloss. Most lipstick looks weird on me, but I’ve tended toward brownish undertones. That is clearly not the right answer here

I like a dusty pink or a pinky nude lipstick for that. I will use a brown lip liner and then fill in the lips with the pink. I like the ombre look, but you don't have to. A mauve would also be good too.

I have a hot pink lipstick that looks good with my pink eyeshadow. I also have a paler pink that works. I use the paler pink when I'm wearing purple or mauve.

I think it's a cool/warm thing.
Andi, do we need to stage an intervention? Don't you have every eye shadow pallet known to mankind by now?

I got Garden Variety which is really wild for me but I wanted to try something very different from my usual safe neutrals. I'm enjoying it a lot.

That one is really pretty. I'm too dark skinned for it though. I wouldn't use half the colors.
