Anybody have an opinion on Philosophy products? DSIL loves one of their scents so I order it for her when I see a good sale (macys right now) and now I’m eyeing their miracle worker moisturizer. I’m appallingly lazy about putting on makeup but I reliably use an spf moisturizer in the morning-usually estee lauder daywear but am enjoying the loreal age perfect stuff I picked up somewhere. Also interested in recommendations for pore extractors. I use tarte’s amazonian clay foundation when not masked up. I have makeup forever and Nars concealers, but nothing really covers up the undereye baggage compartments I lug around. Super pale Scots-Irish skin (not in a good way!), freckles and rosy undertones-most foundations tend to be too yellow. Still interested in an eye tutorial! I used Philosophy in college and it was pretty good. I used their shampoos and moisturizer. Then life got in the way and I went back to cheaper products. I haven't bought them in the recent future. I switched to natural brands a local holistic store carries. It's as close to Bath & Body's Pure Simplicity line as I have ever found. I used that for a long time till they discontinued it. I am also in love with Truly products right now. I have their matcha green tea sugar scrub for the face and I am obsessed with their pimple patches. I put one of those on and they suck all the crap out of my skin over night. No harsh chemicals and they heal a lot faster with less scaring. Oh I just found pimple patches on Amazon. $10 for a package of 96. Worth a try. The downside of Truly is there is like 20 of them in a box. That adds up because I use A LOT of them between hormones and masks.

Due to having teenage daughters--although only one is still a teenager, I've also used philosophy products. I used a face wash and night cream for a while before switching to Clinique. I didn't switch because I didn't like them but because Clinique was on better sale at the time.

I don't know if it's due to a massive increase in sugar intake or that I finally had my chin and upper lip waxed or a combination of both.

When I have acne, I've found things with salicylic acid work the best for me. I use Neutrogena skin -clearing foundation, and st Ives apricot scrub on my chest and upper back.

I don't have much to say right now, but some of the stuff I used during Andi's tutorial was daughter's so I did pick up those things for myself but just from a Target order... I wonder if Ulta does curbside pick up? Andi did a tutorial?! That sounds fun, and like she should do another!

It's never worked for me even as a teenager. The benzoyl peroxide worked when I was a teenager but hasn't done shit for my adult acne. I did some reading up on it and my acne type as an adult is different requiring I use different products. The sulfur mask was the first that really took care of the cystic zits, those were incredibly painful. I like the patches even more because they don't rely on any chemicals. I was skeptical at first but when they took care of a giant painful one on the side of my face pretty much overnight I was sold. I wish they had existed when I was a teen! I've been sharing with Gwen when she needs one.

I did it along with her and I was still like, wait, where does this go... when I went back to it...

Sloughs off the dead skin cells, and the only liquid foundation that doesn't actually cause acne for me. If you're getting cystic acne, that suggests it's hormonal. I would totally go to a dermatologist for that. In fact, I did go to one for my acne rosacea problem, and I take a low dose antibiotic, as well as use a prescription topical gel.

It is hormonal and it's bull shit. I didn't have acne this bad as a teen why now?! I only get a cystic one every once and awhile right now they seem to have calmed down. If they get as bad as they did when they first appeared again I will likely consider a dermatologist. Right now it's mostly gross maskne. I wash my face and masks religiously but having to wear one all day at work with only a 30 minute break for lunch has been hell on my skin.

Gave in to temptation and ordered the philosophy miracle worker moisturizer with spf. Had to check a few different sites to optimize the free gift I wanted to try the snow angel shower gel but macy’s sold out of it so I went with the main site, wound up with a shower gel/moisturizer combo but a much better free gift-the face wash, microdelivery facewash, amazing grace shower gel/moisturizer samples and maybe a moisturizer too. Pretty sure this is all B&BW’s fault for taking so long to get my fragrance fix to me

Quarantine has made me never want to put makeup on again. Or at least not wear it everyday.
My plan right now post vaccine is to get the milia around my eyes removed, get some fancy laser/microderabrasion on my face, tattoo eyeliner and lip liner on, and maybe try the latisse stuff and just update that every 6-12 months.

Will someone tell me what to buy for an eyeshadow palette? I have muddy green eyes that tend to look brown (pick up my hair color) and would like them to stand out more, so interested in red or purple toned palettes, but I clearly have no idea what I’m doing

I have blue green eyes, and purple really brings out the green. Red eye shadow is too hard to pull off, imo.

Unless they mix just the right color, tattooing on lip liner means always wearing lipstick. Though I also couldn't tell you the last time I used lip liner as designed.

I'm really unhappy with my hair right now, which is unusual for me. I used to like my hair...I'm really wondering if wearing it in a pony or bun so much during covid had kind of screwed it up. Now every time I actually want to wear it down and look nice (which isn't often right now), it looks awful. I can't get it to do what I need it to do...
I've still been getting it highlighted and cut every 9 weeks like normal so it hasn't been completely neglected...
Maybe I just need to try some new products. And maybe 2021 will lead me back to some normalcy.

It has red and purple in it. It also has a bunch of neutral shades. I have it and I love it. I actually wore it today. I did a red smoky eye with it. www.morphe.com/collections/eyeshadow-palettes/products/jaclyn-hill-palette-volume-ii

Me neither. I imagine the stone vibes is the UD palette. I was underwhelmed by it. Plus it's mostly shimmer shades. I need more mattes.

I have a hard time with pink peach coral, too, as it makes me look like I have bloodshot eyes. With your skin tone, it might look better than on me, though.

I like urban decays cherry palate. Though I have brown eyes so don't ask me about color matching lol. Lately I've been liking it more than their original 3 (I forget whether I have 2 and 3 or 1 and 3) but could be that it's a new shade vs having the others for a loooong time.

Haven't done much makeup as I'm WFH still so forget what all I have lol. I had to stop myself on ulta's last beauty days yelling at myself for wanting to buy makeup when I hadn't worn it in months lol.

Those might work for her. They look brownish, which may help to highlight the green in her eyes.
ETA: the color that makes my eyes the least green is green eyeshadow. It's like a backwards thing.

Those sales and Black Friday are my shopping times! Yea it doesn't happen every year but I've hit platinum a couple times and mostly off their sales. I really like their store pickup option now cuz I don't have to go in but can get daily deals. Though FYI QVC carries urban, tarte, philosophy, and IT and can have some great deals. A lot of my IT stuff comes from them as the price gives you a brush for like $2 over the price of just the makeup at ulta. I currently have an auto delivery from them on IT cc, mascara, and their Je ne sais quoi lip for like $50 maybe $40.
