Thank you! That was very interesting. I was looking at reviews on the detangling brush on Amazon. They were talking about hair types and I got confused. I just needed a better brush that would help with tangles, lol I only comb in the shower with conditioner in with a wide tooth comb. For dd who has crazy thick, fine, knots by looking at it hair, and the most sensitive head I've ever seen, we started using Sauce. I tried one of the small conditioner packs and went back for 2 jars because it's been such a game changer for hair brushing with her.

I have a shit ton of fine, wavy hair, which means knot city. I'm between 2B and 2C hair. As far as conditioners and conditioning treatments, I swear by L'Oreal Wonder Water, Trader Joe's Shea butter and coconut oil hair mask (and serum), and Briogeo Farewll Frizz leave in conditioner and heat protector. I have a bunch of other products I love, but those will always be in my collection.

I am a skincare junkie. I am also a sucker for free samples when you order from Ulta or Sephora. Rarely do I stick to the same skincare products because I have too many different ones to try.
Question: Do you use an eye cream? I often wonder if it is much different than a face lotion.
I have tried several different eye creams. My most recent one is Murad Renewing Eye Cream. So far, so good until I find a different intriguing product.

IME, the eye creams are more concentrated. More expensive, too!

Thank you, I checked it out on Amazon and got confused with all the classifications of hair types (like what is a 4b type?) but I think this could work. I'll give it a try, thanks again! OK, tried the Tangle Teaser brush. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me, it kinda leaves my hair staticky and frizzy but doesn't get the tangles out. The search continues

Whether or not it’s doing any good is beyond me.

I think I'm going to schedule getting my eyeliner tattood for December.
I was also looking at lash lamination. That would take care of 99% of my makeup needs.

I ordered waxing strips, and they arrived today. If you hear screaming, it's me accidentally ripping off my face.

I’ve been playing in Makeup again. Soooo, question for andi9899 or anyone else that has advice…. When I do my brows, I use concealer to make them look crisp and perfect. I use a lighter color concealer underneath my brows when I do that. I don’t really remember why, except for this one lady I follow does her makeup like that. I have seriously hooded eyes, and a lot of space between my lid and brow bone, so much that I feel like I’d look like a clown if I put eyeshadow in that whole space. So when I stop my eyeshadow where it looks reasonable to me to stop it, that leaves that super light concealer exposed except for just under the arch of my brow, where I put a “highlight” or whatever. What is a fix for this? Stop using the much lighter contour to define the bottom of my brows? The lady I watch that does that, actually puts the light contour all over her whole eyelid. I guess as a base instead of using eyeshadow primer. I don’t do that, I use an eyeshadow primer by Urban Decay. If it’s junk, tell me please. I don’t have enough experience to know a good product from a bad one. I’ve said I was going to go back through her videos to see what exactly happens to that light contour between where she applies her eyeshadow and her brow bone. But most of her videos when she was doing her makeup have disappeared because her original page got hacked. I like how contour products help me clean up my brows, but I’m confused about what to do with the contour under my brows shining bright like a diamond when I don’t want it to. HELP!!!! Pretty please.

From what I read you appear to be doing everything right. I have hooded eyes too and I take my eyeshadow way above the crease because of that. I also don't see a problem with highlighting the brow bone. In fact, plenty of people use very bright eyeshadow to highlight that area.

I was thinking last night about doing another eyeshadow demonstration. Would that be helpful for anyone? Maybe focus on hooded eyes and do a very simple smoky eye. I did a shimmery one last time. Maybe a matte one that looks dramatic but is actually very simple?

I was thinking last night about doing another eyeshadow demonstration. Would that be helpful for anyone? Maybe focus on hooded eyes and do a very simple smoky eye. I did a shimmery one last time. Maybe a matte one that looks dramatic but is actually very simple? Of course I’m interested. The only problem for me might be my work schedule. When do you think you might do it? I played in makeup again today. I did my whole face again like I did Tuesday. I’m getting a little better with the eyeshadow and blending, but still not good enough to leave the house with it on though. The lady I was talking about went live yesterday and did her makeup. I watched closely to see what happens to the concealer under her eyebrows and on her eyelids. She brushes it out until it’s not noticeable. The color of concealer she uses for that is much lighter than her skin, but it works for her. The concealer I have will never work like that on me, no amount of brushing and blending will make it look more natural. So today I just used concealer that’s close to my skin color above and below my brows, and that worked much better for me. I want to learn how to contour my cheeks. I use to have high cheekbones, well I guess I still do, but my face has gotten so fat they don’t stand out anymore. That use to be one of my favorite facial features. I guess I can fake it until my face isn’t so fat anymore, I can try anyway. This time I’m going to keep trying until I get good at applying makeup. I’m freaked about about turning 50yo Sunday, I want to at least be able to feel cute again when I want to.

So I played in makeup again. It was another fail. I know I’m having trouble with my eyeshadow because I have hooded eyes. I try all the tricks I read and see on videos. It works beautifully on videos, and make the eyes look more perky or whatever instead of downturned, but I just can’t get it right. And for the life of me, I can’t seem to get my blending together.
Also, I’m reconsidering the foundation I’m using, Fenty something or other. I always thought I wanted light to medium coverage, but maybe I need more. What’s you all’s favorite foundations?
Lastly, staring into the mirror doing my makeup and stuff has forced me to admit Mister has been correct all these years when he’s said I’m hairy. I started thinking maybe it was true when I started getting my eyebrows done, and they would remove hair from way above my eyebrows and between my eyes and hairline. Now, I see that I do indeed have a slight mustache and sideburns. Eek!
This is why I’ve always thought that being “girly” was a lot of work. I was perfectly fine being in denial about hair on my face. Now what the hell am I supposed to do?

I was recently turned on to NARS foundation. I can't say enough good about it. I apply it with a dampened sponge and set it with a translucent powder and it is awesome. It gives me great coverage without looking thick. And it lasts all day. As for facial hair I do a combination of waxing and tweezing. I get my eyebrows and mustache waxed every couple of months at my nail spa and tweeze in between. I have a really good magnifying mirror I got from Costco. For the peach fuzz I use those little shaver things. It sounds like a lot more work than it is.

I'm on a rotation of these three masks every ten to fourteen days. It seems to be keeping my face less painful, smoother, and slightly less red.

I got myself a WET brand scalp scrubber to use in the shower.
Holy cow does it feel good! It was super relaxing like getting your hair washed professionally.
My hair was also super soft after using it.
I got it because according to click bait it should help with my oily scalp.
Away have to buy two more because my girls are ogling it.

I was perfectly fine being in denial about hair on my face. Now what the hell am I supposed to do? I have at least 20 foundations open right now. Does your skin lean oily or dry? The one I'm currently obsessed with is the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. It makes you look like you have a filter on your face. I have crazy dry skin, but I can see it working on oily skin too if you lean that way. www.sephora.com/product/tarte-amazonian-clay-16-hour-full-coverage-foundation-P473821?skuId=2476083For the eyeshadow, if your eyes are downturned looking after applying the shadow, have you tried using eye tapes. You could place them before applying the shadow so you literally can't put eyeshadow in the places you don't want to. You put one end at the outside edge of your eye and the other end at the edge of your eyebrow. Guaranteed lifted cat eye. You can get them at Target too. They are pretty long, so you could cut them in half and get more uses. www.elfcosmetics.com/line-and-define-eye-tape/84069.html?cgid=toolsbags-tools#srule=price-low-to-high&start=6&sz=12

If it's the luminous foundation and not the skin tint, Wet N Wild make the same foundation for a cheaper price. No sense in spending $50 on a foundation when you can spend $10.

Try the Paul Mitchell Awapui shampoo. It worked wonders for T1's oily hair.
