I finally received my Morphe eyeshadow pallet Tuesday and played with that evening. Babyyyy, when I tell you those colors actually show on my skin! I played with a bright pink and purple, hoping they’d show well enough for me to see how good or bad of a job I was doing, and see my blending skills. It’s been hard to tell with colors that aren’t really showing in the first place. And I put a pale glittery pink on my eyelids lol.
When Mister saw me, he looked at me and quickly looked back down at his laptop. I laughed and told him to ignore the colors and look closely and tell me whether I’d blended them well enough that you could tell exactly where one color ended and another started. He looked and said he couldn’t tell.
It was just really funny how he looked at me at first, then quickly looked away. He’s the kind of person that will not say anything than risk hurting my feelings and he definitely wasn’t feeling the pink and purple lol.

Hey andi. I need a mascara that adds volume and length, in black/brown (NOT just black) and is waterproof. Any good recommendations? I like NYX Worth the Hype in brownish black. I will have a sad if it ever goes away.

My Trixie Mattel blush came in. I like both colors and the highlighter. The packaging is adorable.
If we didn't have to wear masks I'd get one of her lip stains. Something to look forward to I guess.

So I'm a big skin care junkie. Love Belif, Tatcha, Peach & Lily, CosRx. I especially love the CosRx snail mucin essence. Well, the other day I bought the CosRx 92% snail mucin cream and OMG I love it. It looks like snail jizz but my face is sooooo hydrated. Might have to be my new go-to winter moisturizer. www.ulta.com/advanced-snail-92-all-in-one-cream?productId=xlsImpprod16661019Also, Maybelline Ultimatte Slim Lipstick in More Ruby is perfection. I've been having a lot of fun playing with different lipstick for all my virtual meetings.

Ooh! Which one did you get? The official name is the Nikita Artistry palette. Today, I played in the blues and it was a horrible mess. I’m struggling with placement. My hooded eyes apparently require extra tricks and crap that I haven’t figured out yet. Usually my attempts with eyeshadow look like I was scared to put it on, because so little of it shows. I have hooded eyes and a LOT of space in the area between the top of my lower lid and my eyebrows. So far, I suck at going high enough that it shows and fills some of that space, but not so high that it looks crazy. Today was too high, and looked crazy. My blending was pretty good though. I also smudged shadow underneath and tried winged eyeliner, both for the first time today. It was already a hot mess, so why not? One eye was ok as far as the wing went, the other, not so much. Every time I line my upper lid (even before trying a wing), my eyelashes are in my way. No matter how I position my face and my hand, my eyelashes are in the way. Considering my other “aging” issues, I’m just happy as hell that I even have eyelashes still (the random gray eyelash that occasionally appears does piss me off though! WTF and whyyyy?!), but if there’s something I’m missing regarding applying eyeliner to the upper lid, I’d love to hear it. I may or may not have bought some more stuff today. I don’t even remember what I was supposed to be looking for, but somehow I spent $130 at Sephora. I bought a cleanser and moisturizer (I’m on the hunt again because my favorites have been discontinued), a Marc Jacobs lipstick that was on sale (I “discovered” a brand new one in my drawer a couple weeks ago, that I don’t even remember buying, but it was DIVINE when I immediately slapped it on my lips), and I don’t even remember what else. I’ve bought so much lately that I think I’m going to have to give myself a stern talking to about this shit. OAN I finally learned why my favorite moisturizer disappeared. It was all natural, made by a company called Herbivore. Apparently they had a lot of complaints about the moisturizer having mold in it. I know from dipping my toe into making my own natural products a few years ago, that mold and spoiling can be a potential issue if you don’t use chemical preservatives. I never received a bad product from the company, but I knew the moisturizer was delicate. One hot summer day I left mine in my car and it congealed and looked nasty enough that I tossed it even though it wasn’t cheap and was barely used, with a lot of product still in it. I hope they figure it out and bring it back, because it was the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.

I’ve added a few lipsticks to my ridiculous collection since we’ve been wearing masks. Lipstick is my favorite makeup. Occasionally I still wear it despite my mask.

I tend to ignore my lips and lashes, due to potential mess from lipstick/mascara. I do like a nice lip balm with color.
If I'm doing bare min makeup, I do my eyebrows and some sort of color on my face--bb cream or mineral powder foundation. It took me forever to discover how important my eyebrows were to making me look better. My natural brows are a bit sparse and too spread out, though they don't grow together in the middle.

okay, @pinkcshmere, I'll bite. I know I'm somewhat challenged in the makeup department, but what the heck is winged eyeliner? Winged?

I bought the dermapore to help keep my pores clear. I liked the way it felt and I could actually see some 'junk' on the device, which was both gross and satisfying . The downside with cleaning out my pores has been a breakout of quite epic proportions!

What do you use on eyebrows? Pencil? Gel?

What do you use on eyebrows? Pencil? Gel? I use a cake powder with a short, hard brush. I have a pencil, but it's annoying and time consuming to use.

What do you use on eyebrows? Pencil? Gel? I use a pencil and set it with a brow gel. I have almost no brows, so I have to draw them on.

I use a pencil. My eyebrows are blonde, so I follow the line with the pencil. Sometimes I get them on right and other times not so much.

Is there a trick to lip liner? I bought a retractable pencil today, and it just didn't look right. Not sure if it was the placement, color, the amount I put on?

Well it just didn't look beautiful like the pictures I see. Lol. It's the first time I've tried it. I'll practice more next week. I outlined my lips, then kind of smudged it on to the lip a little with my fingers. (Saw a video). Then I applied lipstick as usual.

Went to Ulta today. Didn't buy anything outrageous though--just tinted moisturizer, eye make-up remover, and night cream. I have reached whatever the next rewards status is. I'm not cool enough to know what that is though.

I'm still waiting for my ulta order from Sunday. I'm not thrilled. They were out of stock on the one item that I had to order online, which is the whole reason I ordered as much as I did. It was weird, though. An eyeshadow palette for $9, which was bigger than a similar one for $12, and it was identical to one that they had for $18. And, I got another $10 coupon. There was one thing that I considered getting that I didn't order, but I'm not ordering online again after having to wait so long.

Ugh tweens. Gwen wanted a really funky elaborate color done. I said I was open to a consult because IDK but I retained the right to refuse.
Yeah $300. That's a negatory Ghost Rider.
Many tears and getting ready to yank her out of the chair got her to agree to redo her older highlights (already bleached) which is WAY cheaper.
Is it too late to return her to the hospital and say I'm done with my 10 year free trial?

Now she has a reason to work 🤣.
Does anyone have a coverup that would help with red face blotches and is for very sensitive skin? Bonus points if it has sunscreen in it.
