Has anyone found anything recent with real info on the tours done at the Capitol the day before? One article I read said some of the people on those tour(s) were there on the 6th.

Capitol Attack Could Fuel Extremist Recruitment For Years, Experts WarnOverthrowing the government. Igniting a second Civil War. Banishing racial minorities, immigrants and Jews. Or simply sowing chaos in the streets. The ragged camps of far-right groups and white nationalists emboldened under President Trump have long nursed an overlapping list of hatreds and goals. But now they have been galvanized by the outgoing president’s false claims that the election was stolen from him — and by the violent attack on the nation’s Capitol that hundreds of them led in his name. “The politicians who have lied, betrayed and sold out the American people for decades were forced to cower in fear and scatter like rats,” one group, known for pushing the worst anti-Semitic tropes, commented on Twitter the day after the attack. The Capitol riots served as a propaganda coup for the far right, and those who track hate groups say the attack is likely to join an extremist lexicon with Waco, Ruby Ridge and the Bundy occupation of an Oregon wildlife preserve in fueling recruitment and violence for years to come. Even as dozens of rioters have been arrested, chat rooms and messaging apps where the far right congregates are filled with celebrations and plans. An ideological jumble of hate groups and far-right agitators — the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, the Boogaloo movement and neo-Nazis among them — are now discussing how to expand their rosters and whether to take to the streets again this weekend and next week to oppose the inauguration of Joseph R. Biden Jr. Some, enraged by their failure to overturn the presidential election, have posted manuals on waging guerrilla warfare and building explosive devices. Law enforcement officials have responded by beefing up security at airports and creating a militarized “green zone” in downtown Washington. The F.B.I. and Department of Homeland Security issued an urgent warning that attackers could target federal buildings and public officials in the coming days, and at least 10 states have activated National Guard troops in their capital cities. Some states have canceled legislative activities next week because of the possibility of violence. Purging extremist groups from mainstream social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter may have succeeded in disrupting their organizing, experts say, but such efforts have pushed them into tougher-to-track forms of communication including encrypted apps that will make it harder to trace extremist activities. “Destroying the platforms could lead to more violence,” said Mike Morris, the Colorado-based founder of Three Percent United Patriots, one of dozens of so-called “patriot” paramilitary groups. Mr. Morris said he does not support violence, but warned that other groups might find more freedom to plot on encrypted platforms. Mr. Morris said his group lost its Facebook account this summer and was recently kicked off MeWe, one of several smaller platforms that have drawn denizens of the far right. So, I ask and plead with you to NOT surrender all of us and the future of freedom and liberty. I know that you have the evidence to take down most if not all evildoers in our country. I can see that you have positioned to do that as peacefully and safely as possible. The hour has arrived when you must make the most difficult decision of your life…Yet…is there really any choice in the matter?
This is the hour, you have the ball, it’s your call, and the clock is rapidly running down. It’s now or never Mr. President… now or never.
Thank you again and may God bless you and this nation in this most dangerous hour. newswithviews.com/open-letter-to-the-president/He has them so convinced he is the only one that can save America. You MUST “drain the swamp” before noon on January 20th, or it’s too little too late for America.

He really thinks DT set aside his personal and professional life to be President? I guess he got that along with that 80 million number. You and DT are trying to steal the election on DT's sales pitch to you. If DT actually had evidence he would have used it. Worse, DT's convinced them there are serious problems that don't exist. I worry about the inauguration. When, if ever, will these people realize they have been part of a long con?

QAnon Is Destroying the GOP From WithinBy Senator Ben Sass Eugene Goodman is an American hero. At a pivotal moment on January 6, the veteran United States Capitol Police officer single-handedly prevented untold bloodshed. Staring down an angry, advancing mob, he retreated up a marble staircase, calmly wielding his baton to delay his pursuers while calling out their position to his fellow officers. At the top of the steps, still alone and standing just a few yards from the chamber where senators and Vice President Mike Pence had been certifying the Electoral College’s vote, Goodman strategically lured dozens of the mayhem-minded away from an unguarded door to the Senate floor. The leader of that flank of the mob, later identified by the FBI as Douglas Jensen, wore a T-shirt emblazoned with a red-white-and-blue Q—the insignia of the delusional QAnon conspiracy theory. Its supporters believe that a righteous Donald Trump is leading them in a historic quest to expose the U.S. government’s capture by a global network of cannibalistic pedophiles: not just “deep state” actors in the intelligence community, but Chief Justice John Roberts and a dozen-plus senators, including me. Now Trump’s own vice president is supposedly in on it, too. According to the FBI, Jensen “wanted to have his T-shirt seen on video so that ‘Q’ could ‘get the credit.’” January 6 is a new red-letter day in U.S. history, not just because it was the first time that the Capitol had been ransacked since the War of 1812, but because a subset of the invaders apparently were attempting to disrupt a constitutionally mandated meeting of Congress, kidnap the vice president, and somehow force him to declare Trump the victor in an election he lost. En route, the mob ultimately injured scores of law-enforcement officers. The attack led to the deaths of two officers and four other Americans. But the toll could have been much worse: Police located pipe bombs at the headquarters of both the Republican and Democratic National Committees. Investigators discovered a vehicle fully loaded with weaponry and what prosecutors are calling “homemade napalm bombs.” The violence that Americans witnessed—and that might recur in the coming days—is not a protest gone awry or the work of “a few bad apples.” It is the blossoming of a rotten seed that took root in the Republican Party some time ago and has been nourished by treachery, poor political judgment, and cowardice. When Trump leaves office, my party faces a choice: We can dedicate ourselves to defending the Constitution and perpetuating our best American institutions and traditions, or we can be a party of conspiracy theories, cable-news fantasies, and the ruin that comes with them. We can be the party of Eisenhower, or the party of the conspiracist Alex Jones. We can applaud Officer Goodman or side with the mob he outwitted. We cannot do both. I am concerned they will try and assissinate Biden and Harris and others. I am very worried. Wish they would take the inauguration indoors. This is sad, what will they have to do guard all of them from now on like this? Pence is in a lot of danger too, trump has labeled him as basically a traiter.
I think this is far from done and will continue and get worse. That these people think they represent freedom is what I find crazy. Few of them know nothing about the government other then humpty trumpty is saying its fixed. They must be on the same IQ level as trump.

Lindsey Graham on faux news yesterday that the lack of security on Jan. 6th was Nancy Pelosi's fault He's playing good soldier so strongly, I wonder if the MAGAts have threatened him personally. I've seen the clip of him followed in the airport. Romney took his encounter more in stride than he did.

You say that as if only men actually believe this shit and women are just opinionless tag alongs, that don't know what is going on. Maybe his Mom has spent years indoctrinating this guy, and she got him very excited to go with her to the protest. She is probably quite proud of her son and thinks he us a hero for standing up for their beliefs. Don't insult women by saying they aren't part of this nightmare. They are driving the bus as much as the men are. The anti-vax movement is dominated by women, and they have merged with Q.

I have a mental picture of Q being like Professor Marvel in the Wizard of Oz, except that Professor Marvel was a person hiding behind a curtain. Q is some sort of mythical creature who apparently only speaks through certain followers. Like a god.

Remember Comet Pizza in DC and the pizzagate foolishness? There were protesters there again tonight, and somebody started blaring a RuPaul song. It turned into a dance party, and the protesters gave up and left It's not on any news reports yet, but DD alerted me that it's on Twitter.
