I am not even sure I made it through Episode 2. Hit and run and crazy people are one thing. Bodies in freezers are just ridiculous. I know it happens, but very rarely like this. There was a TV series back in the 90s (I believe) titled Picket Fences on CBS. A quirky series it was. One of the characters in the series was played by Zelda Rubinstein. Zelda was the medium in the movie Poltergeist. If you recall Zelda, she was an extremely short person. In the series, the character Zelda played went missing. She was eventually found in a chest freezer in her home, frozen solid. She had fallen in. Zelda was picked out of the freezer by one of the police officers. While holding Zelda vertically with her frozen head above the officer's head, the officer accidentally bumped her head against a ceiling beam and knocked her frozen head off her body. I loved Picket Fences! Hubs and I jusg finished season 6 of Alone (i think that's the most recent one available on Hulu). I'm really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. He watched the first rwo seasons without me and then one day I put my book down when he started season 3 and I was hooked. There's something weirdly relaxing about watching people live off the land and fending for themselves. I think I could survive one night because I'm really good at staying where I am and hiding. I started rewatching My So-Called Life. Still love it, though now I'm almost as old as the parents and I get them. Damn it. You guys need to watch Toast of London.

I remember liking Picket Fences! I remember nothing about the show except that I liked it. Maybe I'll see if I can find it one of these days. The sweetie and I have such drastically divergent tastes in TV (anything he puts on makes me literally filled with anger, and anything I put on makes him complain-y) that the only things we can manage to watch together appears to be House Hunters Caribbean version and Elementary. So that's all I've got going on. And the nightly news with David Muir. Not winning any pop culture trivia over here, for sure! I liked Picket Fences because it had unique/quirky characters. It was written and produced by David E. Kelley. He also created Doogie Howser, MD, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal and more.

I just finished rewatching Ugly Betty and loved it again the 2nd time around.
I remember Picket Fences. It was a great show! I would love to watch that one again.
My best friend keeps wanting me to get caught up on The Walking Dead so we can discuss (I am two seasons behind). I do like the show, but I am looking for more uplifting television these days.
I watched all 3 seasons of The Masked Singer on Hulu. Wow! That was a FUN show and so much better than I anticipated.

We finished Haven, and are up to date on Lucifer. Tried 1/2 hour of dark, but the dialogue wasn't doing it for me, so we checked out umbrella academy, which seey good. Waiting for the weekend to watch cobra kai with the kids.

Totally agree, it is just FUN to watch. Some great surprises, some that I was able to guess. Unexpected talent with some of the contestants. Last night I watched the 1st episode of The Goes Wrong Show. I think I was laughing 80% of the time!

I checked and it looks like it's available on Amazon Prime. When I was googling the show, I got recommendations for other shows I might like. Northern Exposure was one. Also fun show of that era, but it doesn't look like it's available on streaming services.

Started watching "Away". It's about the first Mars mission. Hilary Swank is the lead. Great character development. Half way through the season and I know I'm already going to miss it when I'm done with the season.

I've watched the first one and liked it, but then got sucked into Riverdale (I have no idea why), so after I get through all 76 episodes of this I'm going back to "Away".

There is nothing "sophomore in high school" about any of these characters.

I think it is season 3 where Veronica basically appears to be a 30 year old business woman.

We tried a few series, and landed on Haven. It's a little dumb, but holding our attention so there's something to it. Sort of reminds me of x-files. Haven is one if my guilty pleasures Also...Lucifer Classics? Never cared for Golden Girls. Even the theme song...😷

I’ve pretty much had Schitts Creeknon as my background loop for the last month.

I’ve pretty much had Schitts Creeknon as my background loop for the last month. It won every comedy award on the Emmy's tonight including all four acting awards, directing and writing.

It’s a happy place. The writing just gets better and better. Everyone evolves, finds love, family, success of some kind... in a place completely devoid of homophobia. Sigh.
Daughter was home for the weekend and had never seen it. We stayed up till 4 am Friday/Saturday watching and that’s how I managed the RBG news...

I didn't watch Schitt's Creek at first because the snippets I saw made the people seem so harsh and shallow. When I finally did start watching it was completely different to what I expected. Not only is it funny but Schitt's Creek has to be one of the kindest shows ever produced.

Start on season 3 then... and eventually go back to fill in character development if you need to. It is a push through series. You have to set up the people and situations before you can watch them blossom and grow. I don't rewatch a lot of the 1st 2 seasons, although there is a some things I like there... but David and Patrick falling in love is seriously the best love story ever written, Alexis grows up so well, her and Ted... also beautiful. Mr and Mrs Rose ... I'd like a relationship like that. So much kindness and respect it just makes me happy for a bit... And at the risk of gushing, David and Stevie and Stevie and Mr Rose are some of my fav moments too. Its just all around good stuff worth waiting for

My husband and I need to find a new show to binge on Netflix. Any suggestions? What I can recall that we've watched: Afterlife Warrior Nun Roswell New Mexico The Witcher The Magicians Locke and Key October Faction The Travelers Lucifer Arrow (most seasons, there are a lot, and I got sick of it after 6, I think) All the other Marvel shows Altered Carbon Stranger Things Wu Warrior? (Or something like that. I mostly ignored that one because I thought it was stupid) We watched a couple seasons of Breaking Bad. It was good, but got to be too much for me. I prefer something more light-hearted. I'll edit this post if/as I remember any more. Comedians in Cars Drinking Coffee Gabriel Iglesias comedy shows (Fluffy) Your taste sounds a lot like ours. We don't watch as much, but of the ones we have seen, they're mostly on your list. If you're still looking, we also watched: Bright (Movie - dark concept, but Will Smith, so light-ish) Black Mirror - Not at all light-hearted Lost In Space Orphan Black OA Cursed And I second (third?) The Last Airbender. It starts silly, and stays playful, but gets more serious and better every season.

"Finished" Grey's Anatomy. I had no idea that it was still running so as I was watching the last few episodes I was ready for it to wind down. The third to last episode they say goodbye to one of the main characters which made me weepy. The, second-to-last was meh. The last was completely run of the mill. Then I started googling and realized it aired in April 2020 and likely wasn't meant to be the season finale much less the series finale. Joke's on me, new episodes are set to air in Nov. Wondering if that's even true or when they could start taping. Anyway my whole family has been making fun of me for bingeing all 16 seasons of 22-24 episodes each and now they are laughing because I'm stuck waiting which defeats the purpose of bingeing in the first place.

I don't have much time for netflix, which makes me really sad, but I just finished the four-episode mini-series they did on the Challenger disaster. As I was less than 1yo when it occurred, it taught me a lot.

A female version of Sherlock Holmes, perhaps?

I can't make it though the first season of Schitt's Creek. We have tried several times because we love Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara. It seemed like the show for us, but we just couldn't get into it. I feel so gypped because everyone loved it and I want to love it so bad! Same here. I tried it a twice and just couldn't get into it.

A female version of Sherlock Holmes, perhaps? Enola Holmes (younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft). I watched it this weekend with my 12 year old. I enjoyed it a lot but there was a surprising amount of quite graphic violence. My 8 year old walked in during the final fight and looked horrified so I told her to come back in a few minutes, which she did.
