Ooh... grapefruit cardamom sounds delicious. I had a vodka gimlet on the front porch after work, but now I am finishing the bottle of cabernet I opened last night. Tomorrow is all cocktails because we have a lot of limes and it's going to be 80 degrees.Stay out of the sun! A stray splash of lime juice can turn fun in the sun into a second-degree burn. But a little-known agent in limes can cause a burning rash that takes months — even years — to heal. Take Aaron Peers, a Floridian who made margaritas outdoors on a holiday weekend in 2015. Burns appeared on his hand the next night. A massive blister later formed. The culprit? Sunshine and lime juice. Or, more specifically, ultraviolet light and furocoumarin -- a chemical found in limes. www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/06/30/lime-juice-burns-real-and-your-margarita-can-cause-them/439157001/

Have you seen any houses you like? If he's not working offer him a drink! this is probably the biggest fucking annoyance in this house so far. my dogs are incredibly social, and he and they got along famously in the meet-and-greet. except that he comes home from errands, rubs their heads, and disappears into his bedroom for the night. what?? beyond my personal confusion as to how that is a thing, the dogs are confused bc there is someone in the house that doesnt interact with them, until he doesfor a hot second, and then he disappears again. he needs to just go for the summer, please and thank you. not for me, but for the fucking distraction to them. 😔 so many more things I need to say, but I don't really want to invite the hysteria from earlier in another thread. nothing I have to say about this temporary place is charitable, but at least it is temporary. suffice to say the fire is lit under my ass to figure something out and quickly. ETA: I *have* offered drinks to both B and the roommate. please, help yourselves! zero reaction. not even an acknowledgement of said offer being heard. at least the roommate is an earlybird like me. this whole keeping to pups quiet til B wakes up thing is getting old, he was supposed to be out of here last weekend, until COVID. as I said, this is temporary. I'm just wondering how much Prozac my dogs will need once we are out.

It sucks for the twins. She'll let everyone outside, but then will disappear with Bear into her room and the twins will be on their own for hours. I don't understand how you can spend all your time at home in your bed. When she was quarantined with me I seriously thought I was going to have to turn her so that she didn't get bedsores.

With both my kids home, they spend enough time on the couch so our dog and cat are spoiled.
It's not taco Tuesday, but my kids just went on a Taco Bell run! Hopefully my stomach cooperates in the morning after drinking and adding Taco Bell!

DId B & K give you any insight about him? Sorry if I have the initials confused about the roommate? yeah - "he's like Sheldon" which is pretty spot on. that rant was actually about B though. yesterday I actually went into the garage to grab something out of that fridge, and he was just sitting in there on a beach chair, scrolling through his phone. like, how do you spend so much time by yourself doing absolutely nothing? when you say you love dogs, and you have two here that want nothing more than to play? I feel badly that *I* can't play with them all day, b/c I have to work. and now I've hijacked the thread. sorry, everyone. back to your regularly scheduled thread. 🙃

I'm riddled with burns. If only someone told me before I poured my drink all over myself. I already know about limes and sun burns.

Or just wash your hand/arm/leg if you spill your drink. No big deal.

Quarter to 2, and I'm drinking my first glass of wine. I really should stop, as it seems to be the biggest factor in my getting belly fat.

She's just taking her time instead of rushing. Also pretty sure that you're not paying her bills, so you shouldn't really be worried about how she lives her life.

I admit I am also confused by Chiver's statements. If someone wants to sit in the garage and scroll through their phone, so what? Same with the complaint about the ER nurse. Unless they promised to play with the dogs every day for a certain amount of time, it seems like a non issue to me. The important thing to me is the person is not hurting the dogs and is friendly towards them.

I've posted about this very strange household in a YM-OT thread, but not much in here. and I won't be again, honestly. for someone who posts quite a bit in that other thread, I'd have expected some reading comprehension to follow over here. but what do I know? here's my last on it, so hopefully we can get back to talking about day drinking during quarantine.
to specifically address the situation, I rented a spot in a 900 sf house that was supposed to only have one other person in it. because of COVID and public restrictions, until very late last week, there were three. this guy I mentioned in my post is now not leaving until June 10th. and, works overnights. so I have been doing my best to stay out of everyone's way, and keep the dogs quiet in the mornings so B can sleep. not exactly the situation I thought I was getting when I signed for the spot that I am absolutely paying rent for. the complaint was on behalf of the dogs, who are very confused as to why there are other people in the house that barely interact with them.
now what is everyone drinking today?
