Reminds me of a Barbie doll cake I got when I was young. The skirt was the cake. Her skirt looks like it's frosted.

Or a Disney Princess cake. That's what my great niece had when she was 3 or 4.

Some of you clearly do not watch My Big Gypsy Wedding. You have time now. Get on it. This is essential cultural knowledge. Yes, and you will learn a lot of colorful language, how to you bleach for cleaning, and most importantly how to brawl on the floor with heels and a skirt. Great stuff! I watched a rerun today.

I ordered from Amazon Pantry today. Delivery date is 4/25.
My DS said he ordered me a Bday gift from Amazon last night and said the delivery date estimate was for the last week of April.
I ordered from Boxed.com for the first time. They claim to have shorter delivery dates but charged me an extra $5 for shipping due to my remote location. Their site had a few things I wanted that were decently priced. Many items on their site are pretty pricey.
I haven't been to one of the local stores for a week or so. I'm interested to see how their stock levels are. I really want to stockpile a bit more stuff before the stimulus payments hit bank accounts. I have a feeling that's going to drain the stores of their stock again...

My order for baby gifts on Amazon was supposed to be delivered in mid-April. The gifts have already arrived. I didn't get any kind of notification that the orders where shipping early, just they they were delivered.

I just ordered dog food and treats for Abby from Amazon. We probably have at least a six weeks supply, but what if it isn't available then? I am ok with having an extra bag of food and a 4-pack of treats (only way it came). I can eat anything, and I have a lot of food to choose from. If what I want isn't available, I will manage. Abby needs her grain-free dog food. And treats are what make life worth living. I won't take that from her.

The dress reminds me of those crocheted doll things older ladies used to use to cover the extra TP rolls in the bathroom. So I suppose that’s appropriate
I was displeased to find today that I waited to long to schedule Dad‘s grocery delivery...he had asked for Wednesday but the first available slots were Thursday. First world problems...but I’m trying to take his requests into account to show good faith that I’m not just a control freak.

I did my first online grocery ordering and pick up today. It went surprisingly well. Drive up, call the number, and they put everything in the trunk, zero interaction. They were out of 3 items out of 16, no substitutions. They substituted one item, which was fine. It was super easy and I will probably do it again in 2 weeks.
My smaller grocery store has tons of pick up times available everyday, but Kroger is always booked a week out. Guess I will stick to the smaller store, as their inventory seems updated on their website more than Kroger.

A friend just posted to me, at Sav A Lot, small to large eggs. priced at $3.45 to $5.99 a dozen, they said hamburger $5 a pound in one place, I think in Ohio.
I was going to buy strawberry plants $4 each, $2.68 at another place for 1 plant!!
I haven't priced other things haven't been out to see but for those. And seed potatoes $.88 a pound, holy moly.

My husband reported things getting crazy in our neck of the woods starting in early March. By the middle of March, the schools were shut down, the town was put on lockdown (when there were only 6 Coronavirus cases in the whole state) and I went grocery shopping. It was a little crazy. Costco had TP, but dry goods like rice, beans, and pasta were scarce. There was plenty of meat and vegetables, though not necessarily every kind of meat and vegetables. Nobody with money was going to starve.

Wear a gypsy wedding dress...... How many people are hidden under that thing? Like the woman from the Nutcracker with all the kids coming out. Mother Gingee and her Bon Bons!

I saw this yesterday. I feel so bad for these people and their families. I saw this as well. My DS who works for Walmart called me yesterday afternoon freaked out because he's scared he will get sick and Walmart told them it will be 2 weeks before they have masks he can wear at work... He can't find any masks anywhere and wanted to know if I had moved the painting respirator that was in our garage. He said many of the people he works with are tired of people getting in their personal space and have left saying they aren't willing to get sick for a minimum wage job. And, no, Walmart here isn't paying for "hazard pay" or anything else. Last week one of their merchandisers came in with the virus and all of the employees who came into contact with him quit when they found out. I suggested he cut up some t shirts and try to make himself some sort of mask until he can buy one or Walmart provides them. I think he may eventually decide he can't handle the risk and leave, but he has a hard time finding a job and he and his GF need income. She cuts hair and was let go from the salon when this first started.

When the girls were looking for their first jobs I told them anywhere but Walmart or a gas station. This doesn't surprise me about them. Can he maybe look at a different retailer? Target is pretty good to their employees around here, maybe they are there too. They pay well above minimum wage here too. This was prior to all this happening. I'm sure they pay better now.

I will say that this is showing a lot of people the true colors of their employers. T1 is expecting most everyone to quit where she works FT because of how it's being handled.
I'm so glad I switched jobs when I did. Previous employer didn't have a plan in place and had they been with the times previously, they could have done much better to help the employees. Current employer had no problem with people staying home and has made a ton of accommodations and given us all extra help during all this. I really came out ahead.
I will also say that Ulta handled it well too. They have shut their stores and are paying the employees for the average number of hours worked. No extra, but they are still paying them to not have to come in. Maybe some of the hair stylists/makeup artists should look there once this is over.

What I would do is use a vacuum cleaner bag cut up and put a layer of that between the fabric. Vacuum cleaner bags frequently contain some sort of HEPA filter. This isn’t perfect, but better than nothing.

I had to pick up a prescription at the Giant yesterday. Since I was already in the store, I figured I might as well grab what I could. They now have one way aisles. So you walk in and have to follow the lines around the store. A lot of people seemed to be ignoring the arrows. When they are restocking, they block off the entire aisle with tape so you can't go down. This is a good idea since the workers do NOT have masks and the last thing they need is a group of people milling around them while they are trying to stock. Had most things, but sparse, and of course no toilet paper. And no boneless chicken breasts, which I really wanted! The real kicker was checkout. They were trying to social distance so they had every other lane closed. They had a line that started at one end of the store, and people's idea of social distancing was a cart length. They would direct you to the self checkout if you had few items or would tell you which lane to get into if you had more. Good idea in premise, but it took forever to get through the line, so extra time for you to be exposed. Then you'd get people who would ignore the lines and jump behind someone already in line, which defeated the purpose. Also, they have these narrow plastic shields directly in front of the cashier, which are great...if you are directly in front of the cashier. They should extend them further down the belt because you are getting within a couple feet of the cashier at times. I was pleasantly surprised to see many people wearing masks (myself included), though not everybody.

Aldi had a full shelf of TP. People were buying it, but it did not run out while I was there. I don't need any, so left it for someone else. No flour still. Last week they had yeast, but none again this week.

I got my pick up order today. Still no paper products. We are ok for now with TP... i'm down to one roll of paper towels... but have a lot of white towels I bought to cut up and wash and reuse. Almost out of tissues. TheHaitian ... I've been thinking if I take the 8 am slot which is the first one of the day I should be able to get cleaner/more stocked shelves... but maybe that is not accurate... ? Any insights?

Life Part Two, send me your address, I have 8 good masks left, they are n99. If you send me your or his address on PM, I will mail him a mask. I'm not sure how long he can use it. But it is ridged and stands out from his face so he could probably get by for a couple weeks at least. I could also send him about 10 pair of vinyl gloves.

I hope this crisis convinces people that it just makes sense to have PTO some kind of basic healthcare for everyone, even the ones that are working part time teenager jobs. Even if you don't care about your fellow human beings, these folks have a huge incentive to come to work sick, and don't necessarily get healthcare when they are sick. And since they touch everything that the rest of us touch, they are a real threat to everyone else.

One nursery yesterday the owner had a mask on as did her employee. I was at another nursery, noone did and 1 customer, there were only a couple of us.
Our local Walmart, one lady with gloves, last time I was in the grocery, nothing. The county north of us have 25 cases with about 10 in the last 2 days and all around us. We figure only 3 because the east part of our county has all been stripped out by strip mines, so few people living there. And west of where we are is the river and only farmland, no people. We have n, s corridor but traffic is down and that may help. But the people in the community are out and about and very very few with protections. But I doubt they can buy it.

I have 7 masks made and 4 more in the works for the hospital, I hope to have 30 ready for them by tomorrow evening? Maybe. They put out a call, but that is a drop in an ocean even if I can get them done.

Ok, but if you need that one and a cloth one, you can have them. I am saving the rest for an emergency like us going to the ER. Probably 4 will be enough for us.
