Have you ever tried one of these grow your own! Best oyster mushrooms ever. I found them several years back! They come with different types of mushrooms? No, I never tried them. They look intriguing. I don't even know where I'd find something like that. Amazon? I'm trying to buy local as much as possible. I first found them in Fresh Market but later at Target. I know you are in Canada so I can’t help. I’m always on lookout for them when out and about now that I know they exist. Fun to watch grow. Super fast!

I had a veggie plate last night. Have no idea what tonight is going to be. Maybe another frozen dinner as I have a few more of those to use up.

I'm cooking chicken breasts (boneless, skinless) in the slow cooker. I'm not sure what for. Oh, wait, I remember. Abby said, "Cook it, and I will come."

Leftover spaghetti. And we are cleaning up the leftovers. H. is eating the chicken that didn't sit well with me. It could have been the jerk dry seasoning. I have a sensitivity to some spice that I don't know what it is. It's usually in deer sausage other people have given me to taste. Many people say its msg.

likely leftover chicken piccata. not sure if with pasta, or I'll roast some veggies. will have to cook that either way. lunch (well, breakfast, honestly) was legit awful. I was looking forward to Chinese takeout - rice noodles with chicken and veggies. it's a nice, light, sauce-free dish that is a safe haven for me in not having to worry about hidden fish sauce in an order. this was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen. the consistency of the noodles was like chow mein crunchy, and the separate container had a saucy chicken and veggie mix. I poured both into a big mixing bowl and the noodles eventually softened up, but seriously? given that it was already almost 2pm and I hadn't eaten yet, I wasn't about to try to call or go back and ask WTF. I think I'm safe, an hour after eating, that there wasn't fish sauce in whatever was in that container. I basically ate around the noodles and pitched the rest. some of the chicken was even off, gross. at least the chicken fingers were tasty. so thankful I got a small order of those at the last second. that's $16 in the garbage.

Look at what I found at the Korean market yesterday! I see beef and chicken bulgogi in our future.

tonight was all about easy after cooking for the pups. i made garlic bread with a burger roll and this spread i bought somewhere that was still unopened (and will get pitched, it wasn't awesome) and some grated parm cheese. that got dipped in to two pieces of leftover chicken piccata and all of the remaining sauce. I saved myself one piece of chicken for a sandwich tomorrow.
today was a long day...

the kitchen is in atrocious condition today, after B finally got up at almost 3 and made himself breakfast, leaving used paper towels on the counter like he had stopped cleaning halfway through. hard pass on doing anything there tonight. I ordered a small veggie calzone and a side of broccoli cheese bites from the place downtown. ordered online to see that they do 10% off online orders on Mon/Tues. that works. $15 and change, and I'll just leave the whole $20 to tip. dinner tonight and leftovers for another meal later. works for me.

I was going to order a salad from Cracker Barrel tomorrow for the ladies lunch...common sense set in and rather than spend $15 for one, I made one at home with all the goodies. Sometimes I even amaze myself.

Tonight was leftovers. I had fried fish leftover, DD and I had tomato soup and I made her a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Hubs had leftover vegetable soup.
I'm fixing her and I Chinese soup tomorrow, I think. And making hubs hash out of the rest of the chuck roast tomorrow night. We are trying not to waste food but still do.

I wasn't super hungry. I ordered a big lunch to treat my brother for replacing all my outlets and light switches.
I made a baked potato which took forever. DH got himself take out.
I'm tired of planning dinner every single night.

Not sure if this will be dinner or not, but I have 1lb of boneless pork ribs and a bottle of Ah-So sauce, will be making some Chinese boneless spare ribs.
ETA: this was dinner, along with a roasted half broccoli crown. after cutting off all the fat before packing up leftovers, I've got two solid ribs left that will become pork fried rice in a couple days.

Instant pot lasagna tonight.
Might be the last batch if I can't find the pasta again.

We had fajitas tonight. I couldn't find the fajita mix but it was good using taco. Just seemed to be a bit off on flavor to me. Just thinking fajitas and having taco mix, confused my taste buds, I guess. LOL!
DD and hubs were quite happy.

I made this honey sesame chicken recipe I saw in the instant pot last night. I'm having leftovers tonight. It was pretty good.

breakfast for dinner tonight. I found a little local meat market just now, and they are definitely going to be the replacement for my village market back on the Cape. one of the things I picked up was a container of their turkey chili. I will make an omelet with some of it. likely pair with sourdough toast, I got a small loaf of that as well.

We ended up having something else - but tonight - pork fried rice, unless we decide to have tacos.

that chili omelet isn't happening tonight either. I found a BSCB in the back of the fridge that I forgot about. that definitely needs to get cooked tonight. will roast some veggies and probably toss with some pasta. too bad I don't have pesto, or a way to make it, because I'd love to toss it with roasted potatoes and pesto. oh well.

Chicken quesadillas for dinner tonight. It will use up leftovers and the shredded chicken was one thing that would thaw quickly. I really wanted to order out but I'm trying to cook more.

Nachos with organic grass fed ground meat. The meat was a substitute from Walmart.

I'm glad I tasted the turkey chili I bought yesterday, before making an omelet with it. the first taste that hit me was sweet. 🤢 I missed the last item in the ingredients - added sugar. ugh. can I fix it? could I load up enough jalapeños and make nachos with it maybe? it definitely does not lend itself to a savory omelet. boo.
