I haven't accomplished very much today, DD stopped by last evening with the kids and was here rather late. She wants to have a garage sale in a couple of weeks. Her daycare is closed for that week and she has Thursday and Friday off work so thought it would be a good time. Today I have spent some time collecting things up to sell. I do hope we sell a lot of things. DD and I agreed to put her beanie baby collection in the sale and whatever ones sell we will split the money between her kids. In previous sales if she sells something that belonged to one of her kids she takes the money and adds it to their bank account. Growing up she didn't collect beanie babies thinking she was going to get rich. She just liked them so she would buy some plus she usually got one of two in her Christmas stocking and Easter basket.
I was hoping that my large window AC unit would sell today but it appears the people are going to be a no show. It seems to me it is just common courtesy to let someone know you aren't going to show instead of just ghosting them.

That's where I get mine from. They have some really good sales lately too. And if you have Ebates/Rakutan, it's even better. Back in the Fall, Ebates had, like, 10% cashback and LE had a 50% sale going on. It was great!

They took a blood test and sent him home before the results came in. The results are really bad so he has to go back.

Some good news ... I called DH's GP and DH texted our close friend asking what he should do. (We contacted both because we were desperate for advice and DH really didn't want to go back.) Both responses came in at the same time. DH's GP changed his antibiotic. Our close friend said it looked like DH needs a different antibiotic (namely the one the GP just prescribed).
DH has to do a blood test at a local lab every 48h starting tomorrow morning. If the levels start going down, he won't need to go back to Urgent Care. Fingers crossed.

DH starts PT this Wednesday. It will be his first venture into town on his own since surgery last month. This means the house will be empty for part of the day. I am so taking the day off! I need a break and my crabby mood today reflects it. This weekend I did the usual laundry, dishes, food prep including peeling citrus for DH, kitchen area rugs got cleaned and the floor swept and Swiffered, ice trays refilled, TP and fresh towels restocked, took out the garbage, and scrubbed a toilet. For fun we watched a VHS movie Saturday night, and each spoke to our BFFs Friday night. And joy, I received notifications from niece1 and a friend indicating someone is impersonating me on Instagram. Good times.

Here is what I found in random bath items today: Full Size Products- all partially used 2 Shampoo 3 Conditioner 1 Hairspray (brand new, i got it from my SIL as a Christmas gift- totally forgot) 1 Mousse 1 Sea Salt Texturizing Spray 2 Leave in Conditioning Treatments (same exact items, going to marry the bottles) 4 Lotions (1 brand new) Travel Sized Products- mostly unused, some partially used 3 Face Washes 24 Shampoo 18 Conditioner 1 Body Wash 15 Bars of Soap 2 Lotions This should really last us several months, which will be great for my grocery budget! I also found several sunscreens partially used (and still new enough to be effective). I will work on emptying these out before I get more. I was able to purge a can of spray on sunscreen today! Also tossed a few items I didn't need. Purge count to date: 1,175/1,000 items Shampoos also make great body washes. And the bar soap should go quickly. Have used them for that many times! I also use conditioner as shaving cream.

If you were wearing one, TheO, you should be fine. You may remember that I recently bought a used stroller and used night tables. The man selling the stroller wore a mask. The woman selling the night tables (and her mother who helped carry them) did not. I left the stroller in my trunk for 3 days, and then disinfected it. I disinfected the night tables right away. You should probably ask for instructions about how to "clean" the bear, since it's fabric. Maybe spray it with something (I don't know what, since we don't have all the same products here) and then leave it in your garage or car trunk for a few days? That's what I would do. I think the memory bear is a lovely idea.

DH insisted on going to the pharmacy himself, even though DS1 and DS3 offered to go. (I didn't offer, but I did call to make sure they had the new antibiotics in stock.) I took E out for a long bike ride today (E on his balance bike, me on foot). DS3 and I are taking E to another park tomorrow, to ride his bike and feed the ducks. DS3 turned in his last paper today. Assuming he gets a passing mark (I'm sure he will), DS3 is now a college graduate. So sad that there's no ceremony this year, not even on Zoom.

debthaven glad to hear your DH got a change of antibiotic, hope that does the trick. Today after work I got the wall in the kitchen, where the drywall was patched, painted with the color. Then I moved the sewing table back to that wall. I try and keep from pushing it up against the wall so it is back in its place. The chair that goes with it, back in its place, as is the high chair. Now I can easily access the microwave and my place at the kitchen table. Feels good to have things back in place.

The gear room is mostly done and we have started filling it with the gear that has been in our guest bedroom. Last night DH and I took all the stuff in our gear room and spread it over the floor in our basement, then decided what we would keep and what we would throw out or I would try to give away. He threw out a lot of stuff! He organized his stuff in bins. It was wonderful We quit at 1:30 am and there are still items lying on the floor. My goal for the day is to keep him focused on finishing this task so our basement clear of this stuff. The next step is getting my guest bedroom back into "room" that people can sleep in.

My organizing is going slowly. I'm working on the pantry. I will overwhelm myself if I pull it all out. And there's no time for that on a work night.
I did one shelf last night. Now I can get to my flour and sugars for baking without having to move stuff. Wednesday night is trash night so I will focus on pulling expired stuff out.
It takes time but I like to know what I'm going to do before I start. If I pull it all out with no plan I'm going to be overwhelmed and just want to cry. I'm writing my ideas down for different spots so I can chip away at them.

I've been amazingly productive the past few days - like where you stop and think - how is it possible I got this much done?
Been trying to keep the kitchen in good shape while digging into various nooks and crannies across the house. Pulled apart the downstairs bath medicine cabinet, scrubbed and tossed everything out of date or not used and put all our vitamins and herbal concoctions in there, clearing a drawer in the kitchen. Which was repurposed.
Have done several sweeps where I wander into various rooms/areas and pull stuff for rehoming, discard, recycle, or giveaway. Cleaning and reorganizing small parcels of real estate with that process, like half a shelf in the upstairs bathroom, etc. Very small projects that have added up over the past couple of days.
But I know that this won't last! I've made the mistake before of thinking when I'm super productive over a short period of time, that I can keep on that trajectory, and it doesn't happen. Just need to take it as it comes.
And - the real reason I suppose is I was supposed to be doing lit searches and sourcing articles for all my papers......and suddenly, I'm a cleaning machine.....likely not a coincidence!!

We have some adorable Mickey ear bottles from Disney (they no longer give these in the rooms because they put in refillable wall dispensers). I was hesitant to use them up because they are so cute, but then I realized- DUH- I can totally keep a couple to refill with our products when we travel. 🤦🏽♀️ I wouldn't want to get rid of those either. Maybe you can use the contents from and using a shadow box frame create a Disney memory art piece. Maybe with photos and other items from your trip(s).

Morning all.
Made it through the storm with minimal effects. Beginning to get things back to normal especially pulling the batteries out of the radio and fan. Don't want them to leak and damage the items I may need in the future. The plants will be moved back to normal locations a little at a time and the door decoration will be back up sometime today.
Today schedule: *Phone meeting with FA *Finish beading project that half done *Get normal chores finished *Door Decoration back up *Swiffer several areas *Whatever else I can't remember now

The sideboard is gorgeous snapdragon ! Well done on the clearing out Rukh O'Rorke . If you get into it, it may be easier to keep going, small task by small task when you need a break from work/writing. Yay on the painting and putting things back Sharon . Yay for tackling the pantry wvugurl26 ! You're always so methodical, I admire that. :-) Congrats on doing so much in the gear room and being able to use the guest room as a guest room paynointerest ! I'm so glad you're happy with the bear TheOtherMe ! DH's blood marker went from 96 on Fri (first UC visit) to 180 on Mon (second UC visit) to just 75 today!!! That's still very high but it looks like the new antibiotic is working. He's still not well but he's better. What a relief!!!

I have been going through things to get ready for the garage sale that DD and I are going to have soon. In doing so I have also tossed a bunch of stuff, including 12 pez dispensers and 11 doll hair brushes. I also hauled down the old wooden doll crib that was my mothers when she was a child. DGD might as well play with it too.

I've been getting discount flyers from wayfair, but when I tried to browse to see if there was anything I liked at my pricepoints - they wanted me to register. So I tossed the flyer. Have you bought from them previously? Do things come as they look online? Are you happy with them? Why do I have to register to see stuff with prices?

I haven't bought myself this is the first time but I have a few friends that have. They never had any issues unless it involves shipping times and the prices are reasonable for what I wanted. With being unable to go to actual stores and look this was the best of what I looked at online. Nothing else was hitting where I was going with my living space. This came the closest from my browsing. My Buffet needs to be assembled and I have already told my brother that he is helping me put it together when it arrives. They want you to register so that their tracking cookies will work.
