I read that one night the Indiana is going to be open really late so that people who need an ID or drivers license can get them. Go to that page and look. We knew the location and just got DD's ID renewed, it was pretty easy. I just put in what her number is, its different then a license, just put in what I had and it worked.

I just started following the BMV page on FB. I'll definitely check for that.

Funny story from shopping today. I've mentioned how I won't be buying extras of things any more. Well, I need some bar soap for the bathroom sink and, of course, it's cheaper to buy a two pack or a three pack when it comes to price per unit but I opted not and bought only one. I don't want to store or, more importantly, move anything more than necessary when the time comes.

The night table search is over! DS1 had a pine night table in the basement which he brought up to the guest room. We got it from Ikea 15 years ago, so it was discontinued. I look at the "used goods" website this morning. I found 2 of the same night table, 5e each, 15 min away. I only needed one but the woman wanted to sell the pair. So I got both for 10e ($11). That means DS1 keeps his, and now there's a second one. CCL, I'm just leaving them untreated. I am NOT manual lol. Since DS1 wants me to leave the TV/DVD player/VCR and the video/DVD shelves, the guest room mini-makeover is over for now. They have DS1's great bed, 2 night tables and an empty dresser. That's a vast improvement over when they arrived. I just wish I had thought of it before. Here's a photo. It's not exciting but it's practical, inoffensive and cheap. www.remodelista.com/products/rast-nightstand/

Congrats on the new computer TheO! The dresser still smelled musty despite cleaning the drawers and leaving them open, so I just bought essential cedar oil and put 2 drops in each drawer. One day when I'm bored enough I'll put the oil on the cedar balls in our closets.

DD is making great progress packing, donating and discarding. If you count all the pens, pencils, markers and paints the numbers are in the thousands! And more clothes and books and tchotchkes. She has a bin of who knows what and a trash bag full of stuffed animals in the basement. She asked me to just toss them...she doesnt even want to look. I've done a bit of my stuff as well. A dozen items out of my closet and in the donation pile. The entire house is in shambles at the moment. Pulling stuff out of every closet drawer and corner. It's driving me nuts, but it will all be over in two weeks or so and I will have an opportunity to completely reset the whole upstairs. Have a great weekend everyone! It always gets worse before it gets better!

Since we will be working from home for at least the next 3 months, we got some money from the office to get furniture. I ordered a chair and an adjustable desk stand. The desk stand got delivered yesterday evening - now I have to clean all the clutter from my desk, wipe it down and get it set up. I am hoping to have it done today or tomorrow.
I need to do more cleaning, but I am tired - both mentally and physically and really don't want to.

saveinla I know that for me, there are days I feel ambitious, and days I don't. Good luck with your new office arrangement!

Well done saveinla ! Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day. :-) I put another 2 drops of cedar oil in each drawer. I'll leave the windows open overnight (with the shutters closed of course). I hope they're happy with the changes.

Debthaven - try putting a small amount of backing ska in each drawer and closing them. In a few days to a week, they should smell fine and you can vacuum it out.

I adore her finnime ! ETA: But I've gradually become scared of her sad/upset about her disliking me. I used to tell myself I was imagining it until last summer when my sister was shocked by it, and finally this visit, DH. Baking soda! LOL! Great idea @stillmovingforward but they get back tomorrow. I'll do that when they leave.

Got my chair also today and just finished assembling it. Now off to take a nap or at least try for one.

Baking soda! LOL! Great idea stillmovingforward but they get back tomorrow. I'll probably do that once they leave. I bought a dresser for DD off Craigslist when she was moving into her first appt. It had a really musty odor. I wiped the whole thing down with a mixture of vinegar and water. That killed the odor very quickly.

Today was supposed to be indoor painting day because rain was forecast for today. None of that has happened so far today, although the sky is getting darker and the wind is picking up. DD called and asked me to come down and bring the crutches and watch the kids while she went to urgent care. Last night they were outside playing and she heard something pop in her leg and then wasn't able to put any weight on it. This morning she could hobble on her tip toe on that side but that was it. Diagnosis is a torn calf muscle and the put her in a boot. It was after noon by the time I got home and I wasn't in the mood to dig out the paint that late in the day. I tried to return cans and bottles but the line was clear around the side of the building, forget that.

I wish I had posted earlier about the musty smell, you all have so many great solutions!
Oh no Sharon! I hope your DD feels better very soon. My crystal ball tells me you're going to be on Grandma duty LOL. That's the best kind! Any news about your DSIL's new job, and their move closer to you? Or is that on hold now because of the pandemic?
I decluttered my Coursera course today. Of the 4 people I signed up with in early March, I'm the only one who finished.

Or is that on hold now because of the pandemic? DSIL has been working at his new job for a while now, I'm thinking he started mid April. The owners are still working on fixing up the house. DD took me out there today to show me where they will be living. It may be a while before they are able to move in. They are re-piping the water lines in the house, refinishing the cabinets in the kitchen, new counters need to be installed in the kitchen, new toilets and sinks in the bathroom. There will also be new vinyl in the bathrooms and laundry area.
The owners are being very good about letting them pick out colors etc. DD said they were given a choice of three different counter tops and which one would they like best. The same with the vinyl they were allowed to choose between several selections that were within the owners price points.

That's fabulous Sharon!!! It sounds like they really appreciate him and want him and your DD to be happy there. DS1/M/E get back tomorrow. DS2/P probably Monday. DS3 is home. I'm again working just 7h over 1.5 days next week. My income has taken a huge hit without the oral exams I do at this time of year. But I have plenty of time with E.

Pretty quiet day at home. Went grocery shopping, made a labor-intensive shrimp salad for dinner, and did laundry. The kids should be back any minute. We wanted to go to the garden center but decided to go tomorrow with E instead. Their petting farm is probably closed, but they also sell chickens who have free reign of the place, which is fun. It's a big store, and mostly outside. I wouldn't take E to the supermarket but I think the garden center is OK. Will of course ask his parents but I think they'll be fine with it.

Found out an uncle passed away of cancer, which I was not aware he had. There will be no service because that is what he wanted.
I was very close to this uncle and aunt when I was a kid. This man was married to my mom's youngest sister. Our families spent a lot of time together when I was growing up. They even came to visit me in Colorado.

I'm sorry Theo Work has been too busy for me to goof off here much so I'm hopelessly behind. I hope everyone is well and hugs and high fives all around as needed. Anything I need to be updated on?

Today was another long painting day, with many more to come. Tried to go to Home Depot late afternoon and you couldn't hardly find a parking spot, I just left. Went to another local Target type of store and was able to get Mom some more Pepcid and a big bag of candy.
