Yes, in the UK. DD is having oral surgery next Thursday. When she found out I was off she asked us to take her there and back, so of course we will.
Speaking of DD, insurance will cover all her car repairs. She has a 300 euro deductible but the repairs are 3500 euros. She's hoping to get the fine cancelled, since she was at the police station when they towed the car. They can't cancel the towing fee.

New refrigerator is here and running. It is so quiet.
It's as clean as it can get under and behind the fridge. Besides cat hair, there was one cat toy, the top of a milk jug and a tube of chap stick under the fridge. Not bad.

My house is on the market and we’ve had 5 showings already & and open house this weekend.
In the meantime, I get to decide if I’m going to buy a property off market that might be my dream place. Ahhhh lots of decisions to make!

Yay for the new fridge TheO! Fingers crossed Startsmart! What does "off market" mean? We just booked a short break to Normandy for two nights next week at a great price. It's always good to get away and see the ocean. :-)

Debthaven- it means I could buy the property in a private sale without it going up for sale publicly again.

I decided that I better update this list to see what else needs to be done. Goals for week of February 9Commitments: Tutoring -- Sunday, Wednesday (?) Meeting -- Tuesday Class -- Wednesday, Thursday Bank -- CD Renewal -- Monday House: Maintain progress accomplished thus far Laundry and dishes B and K -- Clean and mop (before Tuesday meeting) Organize at least two - three ----areas/drawers/etc. Decluttering in the process Grocery -- Other:Remake two pairs of Thanksgiving earrings for future craft shows One done. one more to doContinue with current lariat project. OngoingList one new item on Etsy and renew one expired one.Start a new project. Well I got more done than I thought I did. I am sure that most of my future lists will be similar but I do thing writing them here helps keeps me accountable. I have been using a notebook for my daily lists but not as colorful or detailed as Knee Deep in Water Chloe notebook. It does help me focus on what needs to be done as opposed to what I just feel like doing. Also I tend to try to get most of the chores done as early as possible so that I have time to do the fun things on my list if they are on paper just so I can mark them done. Need to read the latest so that I can make comments. Will come up with a new list as well. See you soon. Have a great day and Happy Valentine Day to all!

DH needed a frame so we went to Ikea yesterday. I also found cheap blue sneakers for my play at the discount shoe store.
We were going to see A on the way back but A thought we were going on the way there, so it didn't work out.
This weekend- get firewood (DH)/Fri - Ikea/Fri - shoe store/Fri- mark 8 MSc essays/Sat- see A/Sat
ETA: The studio listing went up! Fingers crossed! Saw A today.

I had a whole list of things that I had written down to get done at the latter end of this week but everything got bumped to the back burner due to the PreWork for this web course. They sent the email to get started on Monday at 3pm. They sent the email telling about the email to get started on Tuesday at 6pm. Luckily, it was in my spam/deleted folder but I lost a day of working on it because of the misalignment of email notifications. I spent the lion's share of Wednesday and Thursday working on it. Yesterday, I didn't touch it. I needed a break. Today, I will continue with it. It has to be 100% done by Monday.
But, first...coffee and clicking around to my favorite sites for 30 minutes or so.

Good luck with selling the studio, debthaven! DH & I are continuing to go through our stuff. It's discouraging when we open up boxes that are only half filled, but we were very rushed right at the end before moving.

I’m spending most of my Saturday catching up on client work. Later this afternoon mom and I are planting her new vegetable garden and I will finish some sewing projects too.
Mini vacation next week without client calls (though lots of client work to finish up) with one of my oldest WIR friends. We met via the MSN site in 2007 and she’s coming out for a visit.
I do need to repack my car tonight and get updates on how the house showings are going.

It's better than over filling to the point stuff has to be taken out to bring the boxes up from the basement. I got lectured by the mover at the time and by my nephews when they took the boxes to the basement. Getting lectured again as they are brought upstairs. I can't move them, let alone carry them.

Got some more stuff together to take to Goodwill. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Now I have to start clearing out the master bedroom. Hubby says he's going to install wood floors to replace the carpet. Yay!

Yes! He saves us a lot of money. I'll do most of the painting, so he won't have to worry about that, at least. He hates painting trim. I have allergies and we are hoping it will help with some of those issues.

I’m resting. It’s been planned, but, as you know about my work hours, I’m still feeling both grateful and guilty. I finished a book yesterday and started another one. I am going to work on my college application today. Since it’s Sunday, I will map out my week in my notebook. We won’t go home until tomorrow as Monday is a US federal holiday.

Enjoy your well-deserved break Chloe! I'm sure it will help your allergies CCL! I remember when we replaced the DR/LR carpet with tile 19 years ago. We were astounded at all the dust and dirt that accumulated. It took us 18 years to replace all the carpet, our bedroom was the last room.
We still have carpet on the basement stairs, but that's by choice (for safety).

There were three sections and more than 30 modules total. I'm also now part of a nonprofit called Vets2Industry, an amazingly comprehensive list of resources available to military members, military spouses, and dependent children. I've been helping them for more than a year and yesterday I became an official volunteer.

Forgot to mention, good news! In the end, the person at DS3's university tested negative for the Coronovirus! I brought my suitcase up and prepared my clothes, but I haven't actually packed yet. It's a 2h15m drive each way. DD will mind the fort.

Decluttered my bank account paying bills yesterday with two more to go. Also decluttered DH's POS 18-year old recliner to the deck. This way, it's a much shorter trip to the curb when the time comes. I hate that thing! Working on decluttering my freezer. Made pasta with the rest of a bag of meatballs, a bag of frozen vegetables and the rest of a bag of carrot chips. At least I'm getting some vegetables into DH.

Taking inventory of electronics to declutter. There's the old tv in the basement, not flat screen and unused for 10 years, the newer but still old flat screen on the floor of spare bedroom, replaced years ago by an even larger tv, an used for an unknowable time desktop computer and three old, older and oldest laptops that bit the dust over time. I can bring them all to the electronics recycling station in our county.
I'm replacing my workhorse laptop, 7 years old and finally unfixable, with a brand new one of the same make. One year no interest, and I absolutely need it to write and fulfill any of my ambitions.

This weekend was a emotional roller coaster. Starting Friday night I have --
Found out Dad has another cancer and his bladder cancer has decided to come back and get nasty. I ended up phoning family and friends while at the hospital.
Spent from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at my house Saturday clearing out the kitchen in case my cabinets arrive and the remodel starts on Friday. Spent about 2.5 hours with Dad and ended up leaving at about 8:45 that night.
On the plus side I found cat grass for the cat and managed to take a video to show dad. Also switched the cat box out.
On Sunday I went back home and finished moving/hauling/shifting and cleaning everything so my place is ready for the new kitchen. Spent from about 2:30 until after 5 with dad but than I needed to leave to take care of the cat/ laundry and trash at his place.
One good thing is I donated 3 bags of things and dropped them off so they are out of the house. And I lowered the temp at my place in the master due to me living at dad's because of the cat.
I managed to find a door stop and foiled the cat last night with him trying to get into the spare bedroom where I sleep. He has figured out how to open the door and doesn't like that I refuse to feed/play give him attention at all hours of the night and early morning. I am already getting up at 5:30 am and just don't have time for the aggravation.

Sorry about your dad. snapdragon. And I'm thoroughly impressed at all you've managed to get done while keeping up with hospital visits. Take care of yourself, too.

Sorry about your dad, snapdragon . Hopefully your to do list offers some distraction. I took 2.5 days off last week to celebrate an early birthday. Returning after being gone really does make me grateful for where I live and for DH. We spent most of the day in town Saturday with a planned day of shopping, eating, and movie going. It was a fun day. Yesterday was back to reality: 5 loads laundry, including our sheets Emptied 3 garbage cans Boiled eggs, prepped food for breakfasts and lunches this week Compiled a dinner meal plan and grocery list Relocated several types of proteins from the garage freezer to the one in the kitchen
Cleared off the main counter Did dishes Scrubbed a toilet Organized and wiped down the fridge interior, including removing two drawers and wiping down something sticky from ? months ago Refilled ice trays Per my request, DH bought me a wall mounted clothes drying rack similar to this one. He installed it above the laundry room utility sink so when I hand wash items, they won't drip all over the floor. The old one has already been relocated to leave the house.

DH's deadline was mostly met. He did go in on Saturday but was off Sunday and today. I know he's emptied and loaded the dishwasher. I hope he's run it. I asked him to toss a load of laundry in and he said he would. I"m hoping he takes out the recycling too.

Well the house is still looking good (I’ve been gone for 2 weeks) but I’m annoyed at the gardener. When he last came I told him specifically not to come mow unless I asked. I contacted him to mow this week and he came last week (obviously not cutting enough off). Dude, you don’t get to do work I didn’t ask for and charge me for it! Arg!
I did swap out the fabric I’d taken with me and most of the fabric bags are done so I refilled with new pieces. I have 24 new sets to finish and then I’ll work on the fabric bundles with random pieces for awhile.
I’ve just about decided on the next style of quilt to make but won’t have space or time to lay it out if I’m moving soon so working on pieces will keep me busy until I’m settled.
