Even though I won't buy here a $500 robe? I don't know if my sister is planning on buying them anything or not. They have such a tenuous relationship. She's afraid they are going to "use" her as a baby sitter when they go to conferences and that is the only reason they told her about the baby.

TheO that sounds like a perfect gift! And she sounds a bit crazy ... there are plenty of less expensive things a new baby needs.

Hi Kids! My first round of paperwork is done, and off in the mail. But, I'm expecting my relative's paperwork in the mail soon, as he needs to renew his benefits every year. Yes, he is still alive & kicking. He's pretty stubborn, like most of my family, so I try to do a quick turnaround whenever paperwork arrives, as more will probably be coming in soon. We've got more stuff out in the trash. And, we hope to add more before Thursday (trash day).

I wanted to send toys or something fun not a $500 robe for her to wear while nursing baby. I will send the carrier as she jogs and it's one that can supposedly be worn while jogging. I'm sure DNephew1 will get to wear it, too, while pulling weeds or something. I would love to be a little mouse with these two book smart people raising a child, starting from when they bring baby home.

Took trash and recycling out. Since it's not windy, took out a stack of boxes to be recycled. More junk out of the garage.
I have to buy a new refrigerator. It's being delivered between noon and 8 PM on Thursday. They say they will call the night before to narrow it down to a 3 hour window.
I'm going to clean the magnets off tomorrow. I don't have many on it any more as a result of the decluttering. Can't clean out the fridge and freezer until the day off. Luckily, it's supposed to be under 20 degrees on Friday so the food will be fine in the garage.
I won't be grocery shopping until Friday.

I caught up on some tv shows last night and did some organizing on my laptop. I have a TON of cut files for my Silhouette machine and they weren't super organized. I went through and created organized folders for each type of file, so that I can find them easily. It was tedious but I am so glad I took the time to do it.

I need to update my list a few pages back but I got a lot done today, most of my client work is complete and I did the follow up i needed to do. Laundry is done, just towels left to fold, and I’ll probably make the soup tonight.
I still need to paint the bedroom #3 and touch up the hallway, I am up early tomorrow for a call so I hope to knock it out after that.
If you’re struggling to be productive, especially with computer tasks, try a YouTube video by searching “epic music for focus” and there’s a 4 hour playlist that always keeps me going! It has a lot of video game music which is designed to keep a player engaged for hours.

Replaced all of the gear works on mixer, which now functions like its brand new. Borrowed the needed snap ring pliers from a neighbor, made blueberry scones and gave her two which she loved.
Picked up at Costco a shower curtain/bath rug set that I put in the main bathroom. Totally new look in soft grays; I'm pleased. I'll use the old curtain and liner as drop cloths for when I finally get some painting done.
Tomorrow I'm going to box up the stacks of books in the MBR that don't fit on the shelves and get them gone.
Wednesday I'll empty old files and replace with new paperwork. That will do two major tasks in one.
I'm not going beyond Wednesday at this point. Trying to think of what to get/make/do for DH on Valentine's Day.

Things are completely up in the air right now. Dad has been in hospital since last Tuesday and I have been staying at his place due to the cat. We have no idea when he will be out -- for sure he is looking at 2 operations & possibility more. I have not managed to do anything in getting my kitchen cleared out so I will be trying the next week or so to attempt to work on that. Of course this will be after work and only on the evenings. Dad threw me for a loop yesterday when I was visiting him by asking me if I wanted to take the cat to my place and I was like HELL NO! The cat would be freaking out and I have the remodel coming up in a few weeks and I don't even want to imagine how well that would leave my house. There really no extra place to have him -- the spare bedroom will be loaded with kitchen things and I do not allow pets to sleep or be where I am sleeping. Played that game and completely burned the board and flattened the playing ball afterword. So I am staying at Dad's which is easier for the cat and I believe makes dad not worry but I will admit here that I miss my bed and being able to sleep past 6. Yikes! The remodel was stressful enough! I’m sorry about your dad. I hope he’s not suffering too much.

Finish creating the 5 case students for the class I am developingToday's task is to create the Guest lecture for tomorrow and to finish the 5 case studies.paynointerest I have to admit I have been wondering what "case students" is/are but didn't dare to ask LOL. TheOtherMe , I thought the $500 robe was for the baby!!! Either way, they will be upset when the baby barfs on such an expensive garment. DS2 came for dinner tonight, without his GF because she works too late. We packed her a doggy bag. They were supposed to come for lunch on Sunday but I told them not to because of the storms (DS2 rides a scooter.) No 6 am alarm tomorrow! I had Wednesdays off for decades while the kids were younger (because there's no school here on Wednesdays for nursery and primary). I've worked Wednesdays for the 5 years now, but my body is STILL not used to doing without that mid-week break.

And TheOtherMe I thought the $500 robe was for the baby!!! Either way, if she gets it, it will be upsetting when the baby barfs on such an expensive garment. Which is the reason I am not buying it. It's a nursing robe. Her husband can buy it for her. I have cleaned the magnets off the fridge and moved the coat tree away from that area. Tomorrow, I will get the vacuum ready so while they haul the old fridge to the truck and bring in the new one, I can vacuum that spot. I'm sure there will be cat toys there, too. Otherwise, there is nothing else I can do until Thursday. I can't empty the refrigerator now. And the temperature is to be much colder on Thursday, so the food will definitely be fine while it sits in the garage.

DH and her BF have a young female cat. Nala and Buns provide some VERY entertaining photos/videos LOL!

You may remember that I booked a (fully-refundable) hotel for DS3's graduation in July (UK). We know the week, but not the date. Crazy, but we'll only know the exact date in March. I still check every day LOL. I just booked an additional night (also fully refundable). So now we're booked for 5 nights, in the center of town, at a reasonable price, with breakfast included. We were planning to stay for 2 nights (the nights before and after graduation) but now we're thinking we'll probably stay for 3 nights instead.
We have free cancellation until 48h before, but obviously I will cancel the extra 2 or 3 nights (probably 2) as soon as we get DS3's actual graduation date. So now we're all set ... unless it's Monday morning LOL.

Oh Nidena, what course are you taking?! Are you doing a Masters? Not yet. I decided to take a web development course. I know it'll be a good skill to have, especially since there are so few women in STEM, and it'll help me with my own website. I'll tackle the Masters after I've been here a year or so because the point-of-contact at the school said I have to live here that long to get in-resident rates. I don't know enough about the GI Bill to know if resident vs non-resident rates are a thing so...

The refrigerator delivery people left a message that they will be here between noon and 8 PM on Thursday. Well the email said I would receive a call the night before (not two night's before) that would narrow that time down to a 3 hour window.
The message was that they would call on their way here. I left a message that they have to give me time to empty the refrigerator.

I left a message that they have to give me time to empty the refrigerator. When I got a new fridge I was using the on the way call to empty the fridge. It wasn't quite empty but that was okay because they had to unload the fridge from the truck, take off the protective cardboard and a few other things. After they removed the old fridge and while they were loading it on the truck I had plenty of time to vacuum the spot and wipe down the wall behind the fridge. Then they moved in the new fridge. At least the guys who delivered my fridge were used to dealing with the last minute emptying and people wanted to clean underneath and behind before the new fridge was installed.

I'm sure it's the same with everyone getting a new fridge Sharon. I don't have a lot in it right now. I won't empty it until they say they are on the way but I would like a window of fewer than 8 hours. The vacuuming and wiping down the wall will happen also. I will make them wait. It's supposed to be near zero tomorrow, so the food will be fine. I won't be putting anything new in the fridge. Will just be using out of it. The tax refund is in the bank account this morning, so as soon as it's delivered and I know it's working, I will pay off the credit card.

I haven't been around for a while but still picking away at decluttering.
My kitchen counters were getting out of control with the addition of an espresso machine, nutrabullet, instant pot and soda stream. I ended up putting my kitchen aid in the lazy susan (right below where I use it) and using that corner for the instant pot which didn't fit comfortably underneath. One set of canisters I kept on a separate corner shelf was relocated to the top of the cabinets and the canisters from the counter went onto the corner shelf. LOL, the only thing in any of the canisters were batteries of various sizes. They're now stored in the accessible ones. I don't actually need any of the canisters, but I like them so they stay.
With DD's help, since most of the stuff was hers, we completely emptied the bathroom closet and tossed, donated, consolidated and organized everything. To my relief all the bottles of blue, purple, green and pink hair dye are gone. She has finally embraced her gorgeous red hair.
DD gets the big win in decluttering. Her bedroom had looked like a hoarders paradise for years. To further add to the chaos she had sketched on, painted murals on and all of her friends had signed or drew on her walls. Imagine the worst case of overwhelming graffiti you've ever seen. With the rare exceptions, all of that is gone. The walls are painted a serene light blue that goes nicely with the large mural she kept and the few random scenes she chose to keep. She's planning painted frames for the ones that are left. And purchased a white rug which I question the wisdom of, but it looks great.
She has donated three full trash bags of clothes, tossed two bags of god knows what, completely filled the recycle bin and what is left is cleaned and organized. Clothes, makeup, jewelry, books...all neatly arranged. The only thing she has left to do is match a basket full of socks. I'm hoping that all the socks I'm missing are in there. I have not seen the room look that good since she learned to walk. I am in awe.
Someday DD's room will be DH's office (which is currently located in the basement.) and I can see him keeping what artwork is left on the wall.
Someday L's room will be my library/workout room. I don't see either of them moving out anytime soon.
Most of my focus is on maintenance. It looks good in here most of the time. This week is the last for physical therapy for the fractured tibia. Next week starts PT for plantar fasciitis on both feet. I can't do more for the leg although it's still weak since standing is an issue. It's all I can do to get through my greatly reduced work schedule. I'm hoping that PT gets me back to being able to work more, workout more and just generally run around like I used to. Being limited physically makes me stabby.

Saw Dad last night and will swing by tonight for a while.
Thursday I am going by my place to start moving/clearing things and grab what mail I have. I also need to swing by the library.
Saturday and Sunday I will be doing most of the heavy lifting on packing and clearing. I need to phone my contractor to find out if we are starting next Friday or the 28th.

I haven't updated on our attic to bonus room reno lately. We are *this* close to having a finished room. Drywall is being put up now by H and myself. We plan to hang DIY ship lap like we did in our bathroom so drywall finishing will be much easier. Paint. Install the lights. Install the carpet. That's it and we can finally "move" in to the room! The kids are getting very excited for their new play area.

Is that in the UK?
Refrigerator delivery is between 2:30 and 4:30. Snow has been cleared from drive. If there is ice under the snow, it's too cold for salt to work so I hope they are wearing shoes with good ice gripping capabilities.
Enjoy your time off.
