Back from spending Tuesday night at a B&B for our anniversary. We had a great time. We took Franklin the Dog, too. We adopted him as our tenth anniversary present to one another. It was supposed to rain incessantly and didn't--we had a wonderful, beautiful day at the Annapolis harbor and at a state park beach. It occurred to me that was the first time we'd been away from home since last Christmas.
Now, back to it. I'm onboarding a new editing and writing client who's very dyslexic and disorganized. We'll figure it out. Plus, more errands with DD.

Working on my October to do list this morning and finalizing some plans for my birthday getaway.
Today I have painting to do in the office and then a lot of work for my business in the afternoon. There are some windows upstairs that need to be fixed up before the weather gets worse so I bought some heavy duty plastic so that I can seal them up.

Furnace is having it's winter tune up shortly. I did request the guy wear a mask while he is in my house.

This weekend - mark 28 papers - write 2 recommendation letters - see A?
Goal is to mark 14 papers tomorrow. Best friends here for dinner.
Paris likely to have stricter measures as of Mon. Dunno whether that means school goes remote.
Not buying an office chair for now. Would rather not spend the money or have it live in the DR/LR. I switched out a DR chair for a kitchen chair (because it's more comfortable.) Work won't kill me, but all this stress might LOL.

Fall term started this week. I have class Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 4:30 - 7:30 through the second week of December. I'm having to completely rethink my weekly routines.

Office work continues! The fireplace is maybe half done and 3 out of 4 walls are painted. I just washed the 4th wall and will try to get the primer on tonight.
Also washed more of the laundry room but will finish that up when I’m done with the step stool inside. I would like to move the mini fridge and the nightstand tonight if I have time. I’m also waiting on the battery to charge up so I can install a trim piece that was broken off.
Curtain rod and curtains hung on one window in the office but I decided I want them higher so I’ll redo that tomorrow.

Planning to hit my procrastination list this weekend. I plan to take pictures of a bunch of stuff to put up on NextDoor to try to sell. I have 5 light-up Halloween buildings that were DH's. I'm over them. My idea of decor is. well, skulls and bats. You know, my every day decor. They go great with the stuffed animal heads and Captain America shield on the wall by the tv.

Hi Kids! Plenty of drama here, so not much to report. But, if you need a laugh, this may help:

Office walls cleaned, primed and first coat of paint is up. I may run out before I finish so going to be strategic about what I paint in the morning and then get the bed into place. Mini fridge has been moved into the office! Nightstand moved in the living room Feels like really good progress!

I can't keep my house overly messy because I'm the one who will trip over something and hurt myself. I do have furniture in strategic places though. Not to say that I don't walk into it myself, I do. At least I knew it was there though! Finishing up a cup of coffee before I go declutter a bank account a little. At least I'm almost done with DH's med bills. Thank God for savings. Ima thinking the final hospital bill won't be too bad since he met and exceeded the deductible for the year.😝

finnime -- Happy Anniversary! Glad that you were able to get away even for a short time. Knee Deep in Water Chloe -- That is a heavy schedule. Make sure that you take time for yourself so that you don't burn out. TheOtherMe -- So glad that you got the baby's picture, Not thrilled with the additional items in storage but for a short time I would have done the same. Blonde Granny -- I also threw out several pairs of sandals this week. One was a trip waiting to happen and the other was beginning to wear holes in the insoles. I still have enough other pairs to me. Also a few other pairs were donated -- still wearable but were beginning to hurt when I wore them. I am going for comfort these days. Also great news about the sale of your items. debthaven -- Sorry about the numbers increasing there as well as in the US. Glad about the sale of the rental and also about the job offer for your DS3. startsmart -- You are making great progress on your home. A little each day (but you always do more than that) works as well. BTW your videos shared earlier about zoom were very helpful when I first started using that platform. nidena -- Wonderful news about your new job. busymom -- Sorry about the drama. Remember one day at a time works. empress of self-improvement -- Good luck selling the items you wish to get rid of. Iggy aka IG -- Good idea about the vases. I have a few that I save for craft projects and I donate the others as well. In fact I think that the next project in the craft class that I am taking will be putting one of them to use. Last year one of the large beta fish vases I used in my classroom years earlier was upcycled into a roped wrapped fall vase. Will be pulling that out sometime soon as I decorate for the fall holidays. Sorry if I forgot anyone. Will return with my list but want to post this before I lose it.

Recent achievements:*Maintained progress in house *Started new donation box and added several items to it. (last donation pickup included 170 items.) *Eliminated two pairs of sandals *Zoom classes (week 3 of 10) and notes emailed to students. *Continued to add items to the Etsy shop (PM me if you want the link) *Finished several pairs of earrings -- these will be Christmas gifts and/or keepers *Got the flu shot *Conferred with my FA *Made two birthday phone calls *Walked in the park three times this week and with a video on other days. Definitely a better trend than my usual. *Organized several spaces -- these are revisits as I go through things again in my attempt to declutter more items. *Ran the car through the car wash and installed the Weather Tech mats in my car. *Finished a polymer clay project *Started two additional beading projects and joined a challenge for this month that I have not started as of yet. *Filed the pile Upcoming goals/plans for this week:
*Pay the Termite bill (Annual expense) *Doctor visit -- Tuesday *Zoom -- Thursday *Cleaners coming -- Monday ?? *Grocery *Clean the fridge -- today *Finish started projects -- I hope *Start challenge project *Etsy uploads/renewals *Find items for class craft new project -- need for Thursday *Maintain progress in house *Reorganize several drawers and declutter as I do so *Decorate hall entry table for Halloween *Change flag *Finish wreath and hang in front *Walk at least three days and more if I can *Write and schedule emails for class *Update notes to email after class *Pay any monthly bills that arrive this week *Package necklace sets And deal with any other surprises that come up this week. Several of the craft shows that I participate in yearly have been cancelled or rescheduled for the spring. Still have two scheduled but not sure if they are going to happen. I spend quite a bit of time these last few weeks repackaging most of my items in plastic bags so that the items can be seen but not handled by the casual shopper. If someone wants a closer look I am more than willing to open the packaging for them. Still have the necklace sets to do and will start that process later this week. Also have face shields and masks available as well as gloves and sanitizer. Need to get my day started and try to get a few items off this list. Take care all and be safe.

TheOtherMe -- So glad that you got the baby's picture, Not thrilled with the additional items in storage but for a short time I would have done the same. I get to FaceTime with baby this afternoon. I guess his parents will be on the call too. Yes, if it wasn't a short term situation, I would not let them use the basement as a storage unit. This nephew has been the one I can all to fix things, so I do owe him as he will never accept money.

On today's list: housework, errands, grading, and homework. The homework is overdue; something had to give last week or I wasn't going to be able to function. Homework was it.
